Western Bulldogs (9.10.64) defeated by Adelaide (19.7.121)

  1. Jordan Dawson (184). One of the most eye pleasing games you’ll ever see. Had 32 touches (17 contested) plus 7 clearances, 7 marks, 8 tackles, 3 goals, 570 metres gained, just 1 clanger and 3 goal assists.
  2. Rory Laird (126). Old school from Laird, collecting 35 touches and 12 marks down back with elite DE of 88%.
  3. Sam Berry (122). Another super game from Berry, collecting 29 touches (17 contested) to add to 11 clearances and once again great DE of 88%.
  4. Marcus Bontempelli (101). The best of the Dogs, Bont had 29 touches (12 contested) plus 7 clearances and 571 metres gained.
  5. Matthew Kennedy/Riley Thilthorpe (99). Kennedy played his role, gathering 29 touches with 7 tackles, while Thilthorpe finished with 14 disposals, 3 goals and 7 marks.

Other 100+ scores: Zilch

Disappointment: Dale (67) didn’t do much here.

Rookies: Borlase (88) super while McAndrew (86) still going strong for his strong ownership, as did Cook (72). Hall-Kahan (68) super again, while Murray (46) rounded out the Crows. Debut here for Luke Kennedy (43) for the Dogs, being in the middle of Hynes (66), Jones (55) and Sellwood (36).

Injuries: Only listed injury is Pedlar (hamstring).

 

Geelong (15.15.105) defeated Gold Coast (8.12.60)

  1. Noah Anderson (126). Led this game thanks to 29 touches and 11 tackles plus a team best 609 metres gained on Friday night.
  2. Max Holmes (124). Great game again from Holmes, collecting 31 touches and a game best 805 metres gained from the backline, also adding 6 marks and 1 goal.
  3. Daniel Rioli/Bodhi Uwland (116). Couple of Suns back flankers scoring well here, with Rioli having 27 touches, 5 marks, 6 tackles and strong DE of 88%, while Uwland went @ 100% DE from his 20 touches and 5 marks.
  4. John Noble (113). Elite again, this week collecting 30 touches and 6 marks plus 595 metres gained.
  5. Bailey Smith (109). Rounds out Friday night with another strong game, having 27 touches (11 contested) plus 6 tackles and 5 clearances.

Other 100+ scores: Shannon Neale (103), Oliver Dempsey/Matt Rowell (101)

Disappointment: Miller (67) quiet after being a popular pick up this week. Hope no one held onto Bruhn (54).

Rookies: Lombard (80) has been a strong pick and led the Suns here ahead of Murray (65), who looks an option next week. Gulbin (51), Jepson (44), Uwland (44) and Adams (37) the rest. Edwards (55), Wiltshire (54) and Stevens (46) for the Cats.

Injuries: No injuries here. Geelong with their classical late out of Bowes though.

 

Melbourne (13.17.95) defeated Essendon (6.14.50)

  1. Max Gawn (168). Dominated on Saturday afternoon and provided a great C score for many coaches. 24 disposals (14 contested) plus 2 goals, 10 clearances and 29 hitouts.
  2. Kysaiah Pickett (141). Busy game for Kosy, slotting 3 goals from 32 touches plus 5 marks, 5 inside 50s and a massive 676 metres gained.
  3. Will Setterfield (133). Been super in the midfield the past few weeks. Gathered 32 touches here plus 1 goal, 6 marks and 7 clearances.
  4. Ed Langdon (122). Ran the wing as per usual to perfection, finishing with 26 disposals and 10 marks plus 1 goal and strong DE of 88%.
  5. Mason Redman (111). Rounds out this game with a 24 disposal game off half-back that also included 7 marks.

Other 100+ scores: Zach Merrett (109), Jake Bowey (106), Trent Rivers (101)

Disappointment: Nothing that bad here, I’ll give it Jordan Ridley (35) who’s days of being a premium are well over.

Rookies: Farrow (88) the best for the Bombers and a solid score before his bye. Cox (70), Sharp (63), Day-Wicks (53), El Achkar (40) and Robey (37) the others. Tholstrup (91) really good again, leading the Demons rookies ahead of Sharp (76) and Fitzgerald (73) who had a really strong debut. Cross (62), Laurie (55), Kentfield (30) and Cooke (26) the rest of the rookie crop.

Injuries: Big news out of this one SuperCoach wise is a shoulder injury to Archie Roberts who seems set to miss several weeks. Others listed were Cooke (cheekbone) and Petty (hamstring).

 

North Melbourne (10.14.74) defeated West Coast (10.13.73)

  1. Tristan Xerri (152). As usual, dominated the Eagles, backing up a 199 from round 2 with this 16 disposal (14 contested), 8 tackle, 5 mark, 6 clearance, 22 hitout performance.
  2. Harry Sheezel (142). Another popular C option that’s didn’t let down, Sheezel collected 33 touches (15 contested), 7 marks, 5 tackles, 1 goal, 10 clearances and 9 inside 50s.
  3. Jack Darling/Tim Kelly (108). Against his former club, Darling was key for North up front, slotting 4 goals from 10 touches and 7 marks, while Kelly kept his good form going with 27 touches (12 contested) and 9 clearances.
  4. Jobe Shanahan/Nick Larkey (105). Couple of big forwards tied up here. Shanahan had 3 goals from 11 touches and 8 marks (5 contested) while Larkey kicked 4 goals from 11 touches and 5 marks.
  5. Luke Davies-Uniacke/Bailey Williams (101). LDU had some attention but powered on with 20 disposals and 9 tackles, while Williams had 14 touches (12 contested) plus 5 clearances and 22 hitouts.

Other 100+ scores: Zilch

Disappointment: Harley Reid (75) started on fire but got tagged out of it for most of the game. Parker (79) has really slowed down.

Rookies: Great score from Blamires (98) for anyone that potentially held, with Goad (43) and Duursma (9) the only others. Mid season draftee Herbert (75) was the Eagles best ahead of Duff-Tytler (71). and Lindsay (69). Murdock (53), Allan (36), Johnston (35) and Gross (33) the others.

Injuries: An early concussion to Hamish Davis was the only reported injury here.

 

Port Adelaide (13.12.90) defeated by Sydney (14.9.93)

  1. Zak Butters (128). Copped a close tag but is obviously way too good for that, finishing as this games best scorer thanks to 27 touches (11 contested) plus 1 goal, 5 tackles, 78% DE and 5 inside 50s.
  2. Joe Richards (126). Becoming an important cog in the Port team, Richards had 23 disposals (12 contested) plus 9 marks, 1 goal and 7 clearances.
  3. Jordon Sweet (122). Held his own against Grundy, leading the ruck battle thanks to 17 disposals, 9 clearances, 2 majors and 38 hitouts.
  4. Brodie Grundy (119). Wasn’t far off though, bringing up his ton on the back of 26 disposals (19 contested), 9 clearances and 22 hitouts.
  5. Callum Mills (115). The Swans captain rounds out Saturday nights scores. His 29 disposals went @ 90% DE as well as adding 9 marks and 5 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Darcy Byrne-Jones (113), Jason Horne-Francis (112), Chad Warner (111), Kane Farrell (109), Isaac Heeney (104), Logan McDonald (101)

Disappointment: Blakey (91) not overly involved when the game was on the line.

Rookies: Great scores from McDonald (101) and Serong (88) once again, with Edwards (47), Kyle (28) and Rosas (22) the other rookies. Port was led by Marshall (41), Bamert (40), Whitlock (36), Ramm (21) and Cochrane (12).

Injuries: No injuries from Saturday night.

Richmond (12.8.80) defeated by Brisbane (17.13.115)

  1. Will Ashcroft (151). Single handedly kept the Lions in this really, collecting 38 touches, 10 marks, 2 goals, 8 clearances and 5 inside 50s for the best score of his season
  2. Tim Taranto (126). Great game from TT, finishing with 29 touches (14 contested) plus 2 goals, 7 marks, 6 clearances and 5 tackles.
  3. Dion Prestia (106). 27 disposals (13 contested) for the human meatball, adding 7 clearances and 78% DE.
  4. Lachie Neale (102). Another ton for Neale, this week having 28 disposals, 1 major and 86% DE.
  5. Zac Bailey (100). Rounds out the top five with 25 disposals, 2 majors, 6 marks and 496 metres gained.

Other 100+ scores: Zilch

Disappointment: Short (68) quiet again.

Rookies: Alger (81) was a popular pick this week and slotted 4 goals to lead the Tigers. Annand (66) solid on debut leading Cumming (61), Fawcett (59), Grlj (58), Retschko/Hayes-Brown (44) and Lefau (34) round it out for the Tigers. McKenna (93) led the Lions ahead of Gallop (85), Tunstill (61) and Brain (50).

Injuries: Also no injuries from this Sunday fixture.

 

St Kilda (14.12.96) defeated GWS (13.10.88)

  1. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (135). A super game from Nas, being allowed to roam free and gather 32 disposals plus 9 rebounds from 50, 775 metres gained and 1 goal was surely not what the Giants wanted.
  2. Lachie Ash (130). Massive last quarter with 13 touches to finish up with 32 disposals, 7 marks, 10 rebounds from 50 and 755 metres gained.
  3. Liam Ryan (123). Game high 6 majors off the boot of Ryan, coming from just 11 touches and 6 marks.
  4. Clayton Oliver (120). Found truckloads of it in the middle, finishing with 35 touches (13 contested) plus 8 clearances, 7 inside 50s and 5 tackles.
  5. Kieran Briggs (113). Rounds out the top five with a strong showing against the Saints duo, having 12 touches, 5 tackles and 38 hitouts.

Other 100+ scores: Cooper Sharman (108), Brent Daniels (107), Max Hall (103)

Disappointment: Wilkie (63) just hasn’t been the same since that back concern.

Rookies: Just Gothard (59) for the Giants. St Kilda minimal too, with Lake (43) leading Hastie (40) and Butler (37).

Injuries: No injuries to either side to finish the round.
