  1. I want one of the Freo mids in at M8 so

TU: Brayshaw (doesn’t really score below 90)
TD: Serong (less consistent but $30k cheaper and has a higher ceiling)

Has Jai Newk ever got a Tag?…Day has a mighty wrap on him…deserved…but he has had the occassional tag…Will at 482000 and 88 BE…Jai at 489 and his very nice BE of 67 gives him the nod in a photo…both genuine footballers.

  2. I can either get Dawson this week while he’s reasonably cheap and hold Roberts through the best of 18 when it won’t make a huge difference. Or I can get daicos and trade Roberts out for noble. If I wait I can finish my defense with nas or Sinclair or something.

    Tu: Dawson
    TD: daicos

TD allows me to finish forward line and field Herb/Fitz instead of Podhajski

    • Day will be fun own, especially Hawks last 7 games, but i can’t see him being near top 10 mids for the run home and he will have his TOG managed and he is always an injury risk.

Bolton is more likely to be near the top 6 forwards, but Fremantles run home is tough

T/U Go with Newcombe as he’s mostly reliable and durable
T/D Go with day as it will be a fun watch but injury and tog risk

    • if you like some fun, how about Sicily in your team?

      last 5 games have been 110, 114, 72 (low of the year), 127 & 113

Hawks run home is crazy good, i’m bias, but i can’t see them losing again this year 😉

            • Hawks only swing defenders forward when they need to, and the run home is very friendly.

Also Hardwick has showed excellent form as the swing forward guy this year, so Sicily should remain in defence.

Bigger question is what is the impact of getting Barrass back in defence, Sicily has scored very well of recent with Barrass missing.

              • Good points on hardwick and run home. Sic seems to score alright with Barrass in this year, in theory it should free him up for more of intercept game.
I’m waiting for Sinclair or NAS as my last defender so probably better off with either of those. Feel like their BYE has been taking forever though.

    TD:
    Lombard – Xerri
    Jones – Podhajski
    Steene – MSD

TU finishes my team and plays Herbert or Fitzy in Flex with 6 trades remaining.

    8 trades left. Thank you!

  8. Can I ask why so many people are jumping on Xerri this week?

Yeah I get he scored big on the weekend, but the red flags are still very much present.

    Only 70% TOG and only 6 CBA’s.
Surely that kind of scoring isn’t sustainable long term? Am I missing something? Thoughts appreciated!

  9. With the number of midfielder to come back for Essendon do we think Durham is a good value pick? Thilthorpe is even cheaper averaged high 90s last year, looks to be over his niggle on the weekend, plus playing in a team thats starting to go well.

    Forward value pick:
    TU: Durham
    TD: Thilthorpe

  10. Alright, going to go daicos and get rid of Roberts early. I’ll save Houston as a post bye luxury, to get in Nas or Sinclair, once I see if there’s any more injuries. This should take me to full premo except flex, if the cash gen moves I’ll try to get Dawson or Jackson or someone cheap in flex.
    To ‘finish’ my defence.
    Tu: noble
    TD: ash

    • You are paying top dollar for Treacy at $531k

near the end of the season you can always take a punt on a ‘key forward’ type that might pop with good match ups.

matchup don’t come any better than Geelong’s – i’m having a quite look at Jessa $387k and dangerfield $330k as a luxury forward as a F7 option

Other cheap options are Greene $408k, Curnow $407k, Thilthorpe $348k. even McKertcher is worth keeping an eye on at $348k if he gets the half-back role

  11. Would love some advice on my team. 13 trades & 1 boost left
DEF: Sinclair, Holmes, Ash, Wilkie, Clark, Daicos (Edwards, Derkson)

MID: Butters, Bont, Merrett, Richards, Daicos, Callaghan, Cumming, Tsatas (Murdock, Ison, Retschko)

    RUC: Grundy, Jackson (ZZ)

FWD: Sheezel, Petracca, JHF, Bailey, Pickett, Lombard (Edwards, Banfield)

    FLX: Hall-Kahan

Will certainly do Retschko > Podhajski but undecided on what else to do as next week I have quite a few players out with the bye and players I’m wanting to trade in have a bye next week.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

    • what two premium midfielders do you want?

trades will revolve around them. Can you afford a Heeney/Smith or will you need to do a Rowell/Neale price?

will also depend on when their bye is or if they have had their bye.

      • Hey Derek, once I do Retschko > Pod I have 228k ITB and if I do another downgrade can certainly afford a Heeney/Smith. My plan was to get Smith after Geelongs bye next week but unsure if that’s the best way to go about it

        • You will have to wait two more weeks for Smith, need about $590k in two weeks.

who else do you want? If its Heeney that will need to wait until next week. same with some of the cheaper options like Neale & Merrett will need to wait until next week.

if there is a plyer like JDU, Anderson, Rowell, you can get them this week using your cash and trade either Murdock or Tsatas.

I would trade out Retschko, Cummings & Murdoch, and bring in one of Dawson, Oliver, Anderson, LDU, and two of Herbert, Fitzgerald, Annand, Podhajski. All those premos play 15 and 16. Depends how many dollars you want to bank for the next upgrade, and which $99k work for your byes and their job security.

        • still 2 bye rounds to go and if you use some of those trades and boosts the right way you can easily move up 20,000 places, I moved up 21,000 in past two weeks and with no prems missing this week and swapping Anderson for Daicos and then next week only 2 prems missing and adding Gulden & Heeney I’ll probably move up another 20-30,000 before round 17. Downside is I was ranked 62,000+ before the byes and I only have 6 trades left 🙂

will edwards, Mitch Edward’s & cumming to Hall kahan, a 99k non playing ruck & Luke Jackson at flex?
