Fallen Premiums – Round 17

Defenders

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera – 578.2k, (-44.1k), 110 AVG, 77 BE

Nas comes in looking like the standout buy of this week after the injury to his teammate Sinclair and his fantastic recent form. We saw him take over the back end of last season and a similar run could come if he avoids some tags. Comes straight into Captaincy calculations with a matchup against Essendon as well. If you’re still looking for defenders then Nas, Holmes, Ash and Whitfield are all priorities to get back there for the run home.

Luke Parker – 493.6k, (+16.9k), 105 AVG, 51 BE

For the 25% of coaches who already own Nas, Parker backed up with another ton last week to stake his claim for a defender spot. Like him the most out of the cheaper options back there and North have a tougher fixture coming up where they’ll need his experience and toughness to get by. Should be right to get back somewhere close to his early season form.

Incoming Price Drops

John Noble – 542.2k, 188 BE

Bailey Dale – 530k, 150 BE

Archie Roberts – 503.4k, 140 BE

Midfielders

Andrew Brayshaw – 543.4k, (-73k), 110 AVG, 77 BE

Same guys in here as last week as they both produced great scores. Brayshaw is in blistering form at the moment, racking up possessions and leading that balanced Freo midfield. He is still underpriced and looks like he might deliver 110+ the rest of the way, so no worries bringing him in this week. Don’t think the Giants will tag him either.

Patrick Cripps – 512.3k, (-15.7k), 99 AVG, 79 BE

Crippa also pops back up here. Nice 119 against West Coast sees him also looking like outperforming his price the rest of the way. He doesn’t always get the most out of his possessions, but Carlton are on a roll and he’s ramping up to try and drag them to finals. If you prefer someone with a better scoring line this season, LDU is also a great pick after dropping 146.

Incoming Price Drops

Jordan Dawson – 620.2k, 172 BE

Ed Richards – 519.2k, 163 BE

Bailey Smith – 598.3k, 153 BE

Isaac Heeney – 611.6k, 147 BE

Rucks

Tristan Xerri – 539k, (-148.3k), 121 AVG, 74 BE

Been a very strange year for Xerri. Despite the 121 average it has been anything but smooth sailing owning the bruising big fella. Comes back just one week after a nasty jaw injury to a tough matchup against an in form Sweet. When he is playing though, he’s a force to be reckoned with and a chance to drop 150 any given week. He’s had setbacks this year, but at 530k, reckon he’s worth it if you need one more ruck.

Incoming Price Drops

Brodie Grundy – 586.1k, 152 BE

Forwards

Chad Warner – 487.6k, (-17.3k), 94 AVG, 39 BE

Highlighted Warner and Bailey together last week and both delivered, but Chad went nuclear with 150 in a resounding loss, alongside kicking the probable goal of the year. He’s another one that doesn’t always have his SuperCoach scores reflect his status in the game, mostly due to poor efficiency, resulting in an underwhelming average before the last couple weeks. However when you’re in this kind of form, that all goes out the window and that makes him a great buy this week, as he ramps up to September.

Sam Durham – 421.9k, (-67k), 80 AVG, 42 BE

Forgot to mention Durham last week as he was coming off the bye. He’s been touted as an option for a few weeks now after being slated for a full-time midfield role under caretaker Dean Solomon. That has remained true for the last month and he’s delivered some great scores, even while spending time forward. Still very cheap and the role looks settled now, he’s honestly a priority to get in if you have an open forward spot, or even as a loop option.

Incoming Price Drops

Ryley Sanders – 461.4k, 164 BE

Izak Rankine – 422.7k, 154 BE

Josh Treacy – 474.1k, 153 BE

Good luck all
