This weekend is a dumpster fire for me! Rookie roulette has not been kind with Hayes on my bench. Hoping Hewitt and butters can salvage something today. Happy Easter All
I also have Durdin benched. Mixed feelings with Durdin , I need his cash growth, but if he goes big Gunboat gets me in a league match up. Sub 50 please 🙂
Debut for hewett this week after trading Rowell so hoping he can deliver and butters can be revitalised. Feels like a danger game for blues today and I think port will bite back. Port by 22.
With Wines out, Butters is getting a bit more on the ball, but they are being dominated in clearances.
With a team looking more like a wooden spoon contender, Butters just isn’t looking up to preseason expectations as the ball isn’t going forward.
Not very confident having him in my SC team
He is still scoring well this game with 49 at half time, the 2nd best of the team.
However Wines is currently out so that may reduce midfield time when returning and I’m not sure how Robbie Gray will affect him.
If Port can’t change their form, he won’t be as promising. I do think others are likely to go first and the SC forwards don’t have as many to choose from
Can clearly see Hayes is struggling to keep up with the game. Has barely anything left in the tank with almost a whole quarter to go and spending a fair bit of time on the bench to begin with
Oh boy what a loss that would have been for Carlton! I was really hoping Port would get up just to see the reactions of so many Blues fans jumping on the bandwagon that thought they were massive quality with a 3-0 start
That was a great performance by Butters and it really showed in the 2nd half when the rest of the team decided to play. That 2nd half better be more of Ports season for Butters sake!
MEDICAL SUBS
Carlton: Paddy Dow
Port Adelaide: Jed McEntee
Thanks, David.
Afternoon, all.
Hewett, Durdin and Butters for me in this one.
Had the E on Rachele, have kept him on the bench and rolled with Durdin.
Hopefully he and Owies, the Bald Cut Brothers, put on a show.
Take racheles 49 or roll the dice on ward?
TU: take the score
TD: play ward he’s never gone over 49
Have til kick off here Cripps is my donut.

Butters needs to lift with no Wines.
He’s giving you a leg up early, FT!

Weak as piss
Tossed up all w/end…Walsh or Parish. Went Parish…Walsh holders can thank me.
Damn! Made parish my C this week.

Has barely anyone to work with. Getting the ball but then barely has anyone to give the ball off to. Will mean more turnovers or ineffective disposals
Time to trade butter?

Main ruck Hayes with 65% TOG at half time…..
38 points at half and Ports 5th best player
Will make it very interesting nato if he scores this week and preuss is selected next week.
Feels almost like Grundy to a Premium mid to accommodate both Preuss and S Hayes. Surely it hasn’t come to this!
HT scores for relevant sc players:
Blues:
Walsh 74
Hewett 70
Curnow 58
Cerra 55
Doc 43
Durdin 22
Power:
Butters 49
Hayes 41
Houston 35
Boak 33
Mead 21
Cripps stating on Fox Footy he is confident to return next week
Butters almost the only one turning up for Port. Glad to see he should still reach the tonne
The whole Port team finally showing up and bringing things back to life!
Rozee was a factor to this. I wonder if he will slowly suck coaches in to bring him into their teams
looks like Carlton have sent their grandmas out after half time
Can clearly see Hayes is struggling to keep up with the game. Has barely anything left in the tank with almost a whole quarter to go and spending a fair bit of time on the bench to begin with
Charlie Curnow repaying the faith after playing Dixon over Jayes
i can’t keep living through those – my BP meds aren’t strong enough
Hewett a brutal -13 for that late fre kick against lol.
Hopefully gets a touch for scaling for the win.

Walsh a must
Probably post bye, at least for me, as I have a fair few out round 12.
