Where and when: Marvel Stadium, Saturday 26th June at 1:45pm (AEST)
Last time they met: Rd 9, 2020: Fremantle 10.1 (61) def Collingwood 7.7 (49) at Optus Stadium.
Last five H2H: Collingwood 3 – Fremantle 2
Match Preview: It must have annoyed Buckley that his team finally turned up to play after he had quit. You could see the ‘Thanks fellas’ in his eyes as he watched the final minutes of the match.
So, do the Pies continue with their improved form in a home match against the improving Fremantle at Metricon Stadium? The simple answer is: Who knows? Teams playing on new coach emotion can do anything and when you add the important additions for both teams in Grundy, Adams, Fyfe, Wilson and Taberner, and the loss of DeGoey and Moore for the Pies this match could go either way.
With so many unknowns, I am sticking with the Pies to stay on a high for another weeks or two and just account for the Dockers.
Thommo Watch:
Fremantle
Brayshaw is the most popular Docker and a few smart teams have Darcy in the ruck.

Fyfe Late out.
Afternoon Folks.
Grundy and Brayshaw for me in this one.
I’ve also got a close eye on Bianco, as he’s my mid Emergency this week. I’m hoping for a decent score as I’m realistic about the chance Josh Kelly is a late out.
Can’t wait to see how Grundy goes against an in form Darcy.
I think this match up will go a long way to deciding the game.
Best of luck everyone.
Go Freo!
Hey, FT.
Just Bianco E for me here.
Agonising over who to tip. Leaning towards the Pies to have a little purple patch after Buckley’s departure, idk.
When in doubt don’t pick Freo away !
BIG late change Nat Fyfe is OUT, replaced by Brett Bewley.
Collingwood
sub: Cal Brown
Fremantle
sub: Mitch Crowden
Confirming his place on my never again list
Nat Fyfe had full medical clearance to play today. Pulled the pin himself.
G’day FT hope you’re team is travelling ok so far this rd
Does Taberner return affecr Treacy role/ Tog at all??
Was playing Treacy over Weightman but having second thoughts…
Afternoon Db C..
I think he still plays CHF.
Taberner ( on Roughhead ) will stay deep I think.
No Moore gives me some confidence he could go well today.
I think Madgen is his likely match up.
But….
Don’t discount the “new coach effect” I think the Pies come out firing today.
I still think he may be worth a shot.
Best of luck.
Cheers FT, stuck with Weightman. Still hope Treacy plays well to increase his value good luck to the Dockers, in particular Mr Brayshaw.
Db Copper escaping again 😉
Weightman looks like the right call.
Grundy & brayshaw here for me.
Close watch on Bianco he’s my E down back. If he can pump out a respectable score I might hold off trading Jones to Haynes . Is Haynes value if he gets his 2020 role back? Does he have it back? Decisions decisions
Exact same sitch for me, Mav.
On Haynes.
I got him last week and can’t be happier at this stage. He was playing that loose in defence and even when he wasn’t marking it, he cleaned up a heap of ground ball and disposed of it well.
The only downside is if Davis goes down and he’s forced back to a lock down “Tall”.
I think he’s well worth the risk at his reduced price.
Plays Carlton in the SC grand final too 😉
Thanks FT
I think I’ll grab him he should make $$ with his low BE anyway and I do have 7 trades in hand too flick him off if it doesn’t work out after a few weeks.
Cheers
Hoping for a good game from my Pies, just sinking a beer at docklands and about to walk over to the Marvel.
Just Grundy on field in this one for me with Bianco and Poulter (E) on the bench.
Enjoy, Casta.
Nine trades and 149,000 in my bank.
TU – Lachie Jones and brayshaw too Salem/Houston and pendles.
TD – settle on Lachie Jones too Haynes hold brayshaw
Does pendles score more than brayshaw on the run home
Welcome recruit Sidebum….hope you go better than last week’s recuit Gray !!
Nothing to do with this game, but Tigers fans jumping off quicker than they jumped on !!!
If I keep the E on Bianco I lose the loop option, do I?
TU: Take the E off and use Newcombe if I need an E or Brockman if I want to loop.
TD: Keep the E on Bianco.
Interesting tidbit heard last night on Ch.7: Pendles played all of May with a cracked rib. Hopefully that was the reason why his time in the guts was reduced and now he’s back to his best role.
Confirmed by Pendles during an ABC interview.
He wore a protected shield.
Beau McCreery subbed out with hamstring injury early first quarter.
Callum Brown ON.
Anybody having a problem with ff?
yeah no scores coming through as yet
though I just signed into it with a log in and scores there now … not sure if everyone else can see them too?
Grundy going big already – on 41 thus far …
Went for something different this week and went the VC on Grundy this week. Feeling good about it so far!
Me too! Here’s hoping he keeps it up!
Qtr time: Freo leading 21-14 with my gem Treacy getting on the board early!
Dockers:
-Brayshaw 30
-Serong 25
-Darcy 22
-Cerra 20
-Treacy 19
-Ryan 14
Pies:
-Grundy 48
-Sidebottom 33
– Pendlebury 24
-Bianco 7
-Poulter 1
McCreery didn’t have a possession but on FF he’s showing a score of 1 point. Surely that’s not correct is it? He was my trade up to Danger.
FF normally shoes everyone on 1 point minimum for some reason. Can confirm hes on 0 points on SC
Taberner down to the rooms with the docs.
Is Ryan done?
He was cleared by medical staff and returned soon after.
He was not knocked out.
Was tossing up treacy or weightman onfield as f6……………….weightman !!!
Yes…..
finals bound 😉
Great win, FT. Especially with Taberner down early and no Fyfe, congrats.
I’d love to see how SC scoring actually works cos I have no idea how Pendles finished on 85.
yep the scoring on that match if it stays as is, is absolute BS … Pendles stats as recorded (not always accdurate / correct) should mean he scores way more … and Freo only one player on 100??? … CD are a joke.
