Yep Draper lone ruck today but I would have thought Wright could back him up. Who knows what the hell the bombers coaching staff are thinking week to week.
Also Rutten is trying to copy everything Richmond has done which clearly doesn’t work
Parker, Blakey and Mills.
Hoping Mills and Parker bounce back after a poor round last week, but then have Blakey hold his strong form with another tonne
Need Merrett to go big, plus a few more Hail Mary’s to recover this round. Copping a donut with Jackson (my Preuss replacement last week) & English still on the bench, don’t have Sinclair, decided to bench Stewart, VC’d the wrong Friday night option as usual (Macrae this week)…its looking like it could be a disappointing round. Very frustrating. Hoping English is back next week, and Jackson’s knee is minor. Not wanting to have to do any more trades…..
Ask yourself the question for next week. Who comes in for Stewart next week, assuming you trade him? Will they be higher/lower in price next week and do you expect Dawson/Hall to score less than D’Ambrosio this week?
and there’s the BS CD scoring at work … Mills goes from 53 to 71 for that goal … and yes, that’s waiting for all the other scores and refreshing the system … what rot!
Mills score again just got bumped up from 80 to 88 and hasn’t touched the ball or done anything for minutes … meanwhile young D’Amrosio’s score keeps going down (he was over 90 and now stands on 82) even though great by foot and high DE percentage … its just BS how CD scores for the players they favour …
Only 1 player from the Swans reached the tonne, being Warner. Parker dropped off that last quarter and ended up going backwards…..
Mills with 13 disposals but a late goal really boosted his score, I think he got a bit of love from CD to reach the 80s from that game
When Jackson pulled out and I rushed to find a similar price replacement I ended up grabbing 2metre Peter , satisfied for this week and produces a nice cash boost towards the Gawn final trade.
NO LATE CHANGES
MEDICAL SUBS
Essendon: Andrew Phillips
Sydney: Ryan Clarke
Dons copying Richmond with a ruck as the sub
Brisbane have had Fort sub a few times, worried about Big O going down.

Really can’t decide who to bring in as cover this week then F7/M9 moving forward:
TU: De Goey
TD: Stringer
Parker, Blakey and Mills.

D’Ambrosio on fire with 11 disposals that first term. If he keeps that up I’d likely loophole him with Luke Ryan
Currently still holding Stewart because I wanted to see how D’Ambrosio went. Looking really comfortable back there and ball use is fantastic.
IF he goes 90+ from here I’ll be faced with the conundrum of whether to trade or hold Stewart. If it pans out this way what do I do?
TU: Hold Stewart (Take D’Ambrosio’s score)
TD: Trade for Dawson/Hall
Ask yourself the question for next week. Who comes in for Stewart next week, assuming you trade him? Will they be higher/lower in price next week and do you expect Dawson/Hall to score less than D’Ambrosio this week?
Sinclair. Has to be.
Higher priced but worth every cent
same boat as you mate
Heeney taken a bit of a knock to his left leg at the end of the term. Still looks to be playing though after a little bit of attention
Gave Ridley another week after he tonned up last week. Still in single digits in the second quarter. Bloody hell
Of course, Sydney are no shows the 2nd quarter, so Mills is thrown at half back to stop any more goals against
I had the choice of any Mid last week and I chose Mills – Talk about shitting in my face.
Merrett is so frustrating! 40 at quarter time, 45 at half-time.
Mills having a stinker.
Just following Parish and Merret around.
He is my C this round so double trouble
Mills is my VC. I hope C Laird isn’t a late out
Nathan Van Berlo confirms on SA Grandstand Rory Laird will play this afternoon and wasn’t in any major doubt during the week, club just being cautous.
Good news. Thanks Nato
good news, thanks Nato!
C’mon boys.
#neveragainheeney
Would Heeney be the most overrated footballer playing AFL.
I am finding it hard to think of anyone more overrated.
Happy to have some nominations
Little harsh on Heeney.
Hasn’t been dynamic but solely up FWD and Swans been targeting McDonald, Franklin and Reid all day given the Dons lack of key defensive talent.
Heeney will fiddle his way to 80+, Ridley a brilliant quarter just then, Parish chugging nicely.
My biggest problem is f*cking Mills and his 46. Argh!
8 disposals in 3 quarters for Mills…..
I’m almost considering doing a sideways trade with him
Please do so he can pump out a 150 next week!!!
Lmao. Yes, Nato. Go ahead and trade out the #5 averaging MID with the highest natural ceiling because of a down game.
Prestia will be back from concussion for you.
That is what rage trading does…
He has made a comeback in the final term which lowers the frustration with him
Blakey and his ball use has been horrid today
Geez Bombers are not getting some free kicks that they should be …
and there’s the BS CD scoring at work … Mills goes from 53 to 71 for that goal … and yes, that’s waiting for all the other scores and refreshing the system … what rot!
Swans put Mills on ball and, what a f*cking surprise, he has an impact.
Been playing him wing and HF all day lol.
Dons hit the front! What a game!
Essendon decided to be accurate this game where the Swans have gone 6.14 after 5 straight to start.
Swans just don’t seem to show up for a whole game
Wow a double 50, and back to 3 points. Real tight finish!
THis umpiring is disgraceful against the Bombers, particularly in this last quarter …
Swans getting frees and bombers get nothing for exactly the same infringement …
Mills score again just got bumped up from 80 to 88 and hasn’t touched the ball or done anything for minutes … meanwhile young D’Amrosio’s score keeps going down (he was over 90 and now stands on 82) even though great by foot and high DE percentage … its just BS how CD scores for the players they favour …
Had a CP handball at D50 stoppage, Macca.
Was hard to see.
4 trades left
TU: Hold Stewart, take D’Ambrosio score
TD: Stewart > Dawson/Hall
personally holding stewart
with 4 trades and the young fella scoring OK, I’d hold … lot of weeks left and who knows what other injuries occur …
Only 1 player from the Swans reached the tonne, being Warner. Parker dropped off that last quarter and ended up going backwards…..
Mills with 13 disposals but a late goal really boosted his score, I think he got a bit of love from CD to reach the 80s from that game
Mills score an actual joke how he is scaled up and Parker scaled down is ridiculous
There needs to be a formal investigation into how Mills is scored, I’ve been following it all season and it’s seriously a joke.
Lose to West Coast, beat Sydney.
The Essendon Experience.
We ride that rollercoaster every week GD.
I was at the ground and was waiting for something stupid to happen like seems to happen so often in Swans Ess games.
What a game.
Straight kicking is still the most underrated stat in the AFL.
Cost us the game last week.
Won us the game this week.
Up up !!!
Where has that been all year – the leash was let off!!
When Jackson pulled out and I rushed to find a similar price replacement I ended up grabbing 2metre Peter , satisfied for this week and produces a nice cash boost towards the Gawn final trade.
