Big game for me with Sicily JHF ward with McDonald on the bench, I imagine it’ll be pretty similar to everyone else. With the luck I’ve had this round McDonald will score 115 and out score jhf and ward combined.

Thommo I have been bloody annoyed about this all weekend. I thought they umpired it magnificently on Wednesday night, absolutely spot on to everything they told us in preseason. Then by Thursday night and ever since across the rest of the weekend, every game has been umpired like it was 2021 interpretation. Wtf
Exactly Jimmy. I was all for rewarding the tackler because there is nothing more frustrating than a run-down tackle being ignored.

It genuinely is only injury history that stops you from taking him from the start. Only in 2.5% of teams if I’m looking at the stats correctly.

Throw Tarryn Thomas in that mix too, thats some real class coming through at North. They need another big defender after losing Tarrant. Xerri looks good in patches , Goldie still doing the bulk of the ruck. Macdonald and Hall running a muck down back.My Hawks rookies need to lift !

I was at the game today hoping to see the start of a new Era.
Unfortunately, it was just a continuation of the worst parts of last year.
I see our 2 biggest problems are lack of skill and therefore soft turnovers and an impotent forward 50.
We are not going to win many games kicking 8-10 goals.
McDonald was great. JHF was pretty good and Xerri and Goldy alternating position were very solid. Hall was okay to but I would imagine his disposal efficiency would be down.
Hoping to see a much more efficient effort next week against WCE or it will be a long season.
