Game Chat – Sydney v Geelong

Written by Father Dougal on September 20 2020

Where and when: Any minute!

What it means for the Swans: Nothing but a chance to mess up their draft pick.

What it means for the Cats: A win and they are in the top 4. Big Deal!

Supercoach Watch:

Sydney: Lloyd and Parker. Naismith and Heeny, anyone paying attention this week. Jolting Jackson Thurlow of course. Oh, and  JPK

Cats: Do I have to list them all AGAIN!

Father Dougal’s Watch: The Seagull, because I still don’t have him and everyone else does.

Father Dougal’s Tip:  The Cats by 24.  I can’t imagine them not bringing their A+ game.

  1. Who gets the CBAs at Geel today? Reappearance of Stevens, Selwood may take points away from Danger & Duncan but there should also be better clearance rates leading to more ball possession and greater accumulation of points all through the mid field group – especially when then help out up forward.

    1. Chillo will be happy with that. Was probably nervous Brad Scott was going to make his real late change and bring in Close, who is his VC loophole

  2. This is not commentary. Channel 7 table of fools just gushing over Geelong and incredulous at Sydney’s performance.

        1. Probably due to the fact that he has barely any influence on the game. Would only really put someone on him to lower intercept mark chances

  3. Credit where it’s warranted good effort by Geelong. Going down to the wire. I reckon they should get up. Please Duncan get a couple of kicks in the last quarter and not to your noggin.

  4. Can say Duncan has probably killed my finals chances. Over many seasons he has been fairly consistent rarely missing games or scoring poorly. A poor score would be 80
Only 3 scores under 100 this year being 80 90 and 95. Not including his 13 from injury

32 at 3/4 time, looking to be his worst full played game score in years 🙁

  5. Thinking Dangerfield is already locked into the team next year as he’ll surely have DPP status after what was just seen.

  6. i don’t support either team but pretty sure the fox commentators need a box of tissues and a quiet corner every time they mention geelong players

  7. Danger was brilliant in the final quarter and a half, but how he was on 50+ points already is beyond me. He was ineffective until he moved forward but still scored well.

    1. I’d say there is an “influence” or “effectiveness” algorithm placed upon a player outside of actual stats. Can anyone clarify that?
