Is trading out stephens for O’Driscoll or Dixon (have the other rookies) worthwhile?
TU do it
TD not worth the trade
Don’t know enough about the JS of these guys!
Thanks all
Made a very last minute trade, keeping rachele and not bringing in gollant but traded out stephens for dow. Fingers crossed Dow keeps his midfield role
Geez JHF gets the pill well, but his DE is killing him 8 possies in quarter, 5 CP’s 3 tackles and only 36 points – as only at 50% DE … if he could clean that up he would have been on a monster score at QT …
going to be something special if he stays healthy though!

won’t know until about an hour before the match tomorrow I would guess … unless we know for sure he plays in the reserves … have they played yet, I haven’t checked
My trades from last week not looking so good this week.
Bowey , Xerri all ins as well as Cripps who l hope fires this week as Horne Francis on my bench with no loop .
Just to roll it back a bit to a number of comments regarding Heeneys score and champion data favorites in this thread:
How the Hell is Heeney on 73 with 5 mins to go in third quarter.
I heard them say he may have broken his nose earlier, but then it looked like they were doing some work on his neck.
Either way he is back on and rucking now by the looks of it.
don’t know what is going on with the scores on FF – last 5-7 minutes, it’s showing scores against individual players eg points for heeney and goal and just now free kick, as per scoring system, but their overall total scores are not changing … same for all players including McInrney’s goal to put swans ahead …
So either the total scores from CD up until then were already nearing the 3300 for the match, or … who knows with CD … just another example of how bad they and the scoring systems are that detract from what is otherwise a good product … frustrating as a punter trying to watch / follow / make decisions …
and edit now – they just started to update with 30 seconds left on game clock … McInerney has had a huge last quarter and should score well for him you would think … so should update well for those that have him …
Pete – in some sense I agree, as anyone who has followed this site have seen from me over numerous years, and as I have in fact proven a few times by deliberately scoring certain players, following their score lines, for quarters at a time … CD are certainly subjective and have their favourites … and the system is so open to interpretation … and manipulation … and without a doubt there are favourites.
The system also is broken, IMHO, whereby it only allocates 3300 points for a total game … and as players get points early, late in games points are not awarded, when players do things that actually earn stats and should be awarded points … for kicks and even goals etc … they then give themselves a massive get out of jail by saying they allow for big points boosts to players who do something late, to win a match etc … and magically they adjust the stats that we see to equate to the players scores … these are the bits I do not like in the whole thing … because you can actually see stats and say there is no way that player made that many tackles, or effective kicks etc …
Now, in this game, as I pointed out above and as Chillo indicated, the scores against the players did not change basically for the entire last quarter … only starting again with about 30 seconds left.
In that time, Heeney had taken a mark and kicked a goal to get the Swans in front. He then also earnt a free kick and another mark …. BUT Mcinerney was probably more influential and also kicked a late goal.
I own Heeney, and started with him … and do I think what he did in that game was worthy of his final score? No way. He didn’t earn all of that stats that resulted to his final score. At one stage he was down with 10 tackles and a certain number of kicks (not many) all effective and at 100%, to have him up near 70 odd … IMO did he make that many effective tackles – No – nor were all of his kicks effective, by their scoring definitions, and meeting their criteria.
He certainly would have received a scoring boost for his late goal … as did McInerney …. I would have been happy and grateful if he got to 100 to be honest … as for a large part of the game he was running around and doing little (Heeney) …
Anyway mate, keep up the good observations and try and live past the frustrations … each year gets me closer to my last playing as I really can’t stomach the system … it’s only my loyalty to Mottsy and the lads that run the site over the years that keeps me coming back and doing up the Bye PLanner for the site to be honest.
Cheers
Fair point guys. I just checked live scores on the supercoach app with a few minutes to go and saw Heeney on 72. I didn’t pay attention to the rest of the quarter. Value your words Macca, will be sad to see you leave – if that happens
Looking like no further late changes (at 1:49pm) with the subs as:
Swans – Ronke – so those looking to use Stephens as a loop for Neale or Gawn are safe to go!
Roos – Bonar

Reef next week might be better.
VC Heeney to go 150+ today!!
Stephens > Preuss or wait until next week? This allows me to throw English forward and probably gives me flexibility with trades next week.
TU: Yes
TD: No, Stephens still has cash to make
Made a very last minute trade, keeping rachele and not bringing in gollant but traded out stephens for dow. Fingers crossed Dow keeps his midfield role
Have just flicked it on.
Ziebell playing forward, I’m sure not many would have him. But probably good signs for Hall and Luke McDonald owners.

awesome with the scores last night and now today Lisa! Thanks!
Shoulda VC’d Horne Francis.
Had more points in a half then my VC did all game (Oliver)
Xerri’s turn of the rucks to get marked harshly by CD this week it seems …
It’s abit random. Luke Jackson or Tim English would seem to be the golden boys of CD rucks
Does anyone know if Hayes is definitely out or still first emergency. Thanks
won’t know until about an hour before the match tomorrow I would guess … unless we know for sure he plays in the reserves … have they played yet, I haven’t checked
No they play tomorrow
Ronke warming up
not looking good for Ladham

3 frees in a row and north gets marched up the ground for a goal.
After a goal from a 50.

Talk about getting scored well by CD. Geez
Buddy subbed out. Issue with his hand.
no Xerri this qtr. went down to the rooms and hasn’t been sighted until that last ruck contest. No Sub at this stage.
I heard them say he may have broken his nose earlier, but then it looked like they were doing some work on his neck.
Either way he is back on and rucking now by the looks of it.
Traded Xerri in this morning for Rachelle. What a cluster f&#k of a trade.
Rachelle now guaranteed to go huge….
I have just been tea-bagged by the SC Gods

North snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Turnovers kills us every single week – if not the quantity then the severity of them.
JHF went backwards in scoring in the last quarter … and left sitting on the bench for a lot of it … not smart by the Roos …
Heeney scaled to 131. Not bad for 1 solid quarter of footy
Heeney is another example of the broken CD scoring… On 72 points 27 minutes into the last quarter and gets 131
Do the thumbs down mean people agree with awarding 60 points to 1 kick? Or they don’t believe he scored 60 points in 2 minutes?
The thumbs down are because the scores did not update for most of the final quarter. Every player’s scores took a massive jump in that game

Salty non-heeney owners
I couldn’t care less about Heeney, but if you don’t think there’s favourites that get more generous scoring, you’re delusional.
