  1. 1837 / Neale / Was 1766

Happy enough with the score, this was always going to be my weakest bye round. Thought about the C on Coniglio, but didn’t have the stones to do it. Will have to move Zorko on next week.

      1. Don’t ask Jimmy, don’t ask mate. I was having aneurisms when Clarry was going large.

  3. 1842 / Oliver / was 409th

    17 players, including Marchbank (28) and Owens (26) – could’ve been a lot worse.

Will be sad to see N Daicos go

Changing to Gawn at last minute from Oliver cost me wins in 4 leagues but still win 5/10 leagues
if you told me at start of match that Cameron and Cox works both eclipse Gawn i would have asked what you were taking .
Anyway bitter sweet as the pies were phenomenal and stoked at their win
Have a great week everyone and just one more bye round before we bring back the full rounds

      1. Well done Nato
Trying to make up a bit of ground so went against the consensus but genuinely thought Gawn works go big and Pendles saying he will play in middle before the game , l thought Oliver wouldn’t have it all his way .

  5. 1837/Satan/17 players/was 5.2K

Took small hit with the Zorko/Owens injuries but compensated with scores of Cogs and Clarry.

Not as bad as Tech Team where I somehow neglected to make any changes and fielded only 6 players. Good thing I was not in the running!!

  6. 1757/ Oliver/ 2 still to play…

Not bad from 16 players, somehow won 5 out of 8.

I think the players are revolting against the coach… Who knew that could happen in SC??!!

  7. 1891/Neale/ was 4656
Am absolutely thrilled with that score as there was only 18 players in my team due to Hayes/Rioli not getting a shot.
I won all my matchups, where I should have lost 1 but a Gawn captaincy won it for me.

Worst scores this week was Owens, Butler, but rookies/injuries is understandable. Gresham and Gawn were poor with 70s but again injuries had an effect.

Positives: Cripps, Neale, Ryan, Daicos, Cogs, Oliver and Crisp, with every other premo scoring between 85-100.

Byes have been well played so far, with 2k last week then this score. 1 more week can make a lovely trifecta, which tells me I handled the byes well

  8. 1718 Oliver

first red arrows after 8 weeks of consecutive green

have 21 pre-trades for r14 but this includes Preuss/Hamilton/Stephens/Carroll who were all DNP this week so 17

  10. 1492/Kelly/was ranked 11983 but not any more!!
    15 players

    No league wins

I had 4 possible players not play.
    New recruit Walsh stunk.
    New recruit Owen crashed
New recruit Kelly got tagged by North (what a joke)
Zorko did bugger all and then did a hammy
McDonald – I didn’t even realise he was playing he did so little.

BUT…like a Phoenix from the ashes my team shall rise again.
Never concede and never give up.
    Stirring speech now concluded.

Still yet to nail a captain but happy overall. Darcy is a head scratcher but will play him till the wheels come off because of my limited trades . Go pies

  12. 2062/Neale/Was 3020 now 1424.

Had 18 players so my only bad one was Owens. Honorable mentioned to Curtis for his 61. Going to be sad to trade Daicos to Miller this week. To complete my team with 5 trades left.

  13. 1581 Gawn. Forgive and forget Jesus Christ 7k to 13k what a horrible week. Traded in parish marchbank and Owen’s for them to go horrible. Hopefully on the up next week

    McDonald to Stewart

  15. 1868/Jelly/3828 up 808 spots.

Those Brayshaw boys can play a bit, Andy 135 & Angus 126.

One or maybe two trades this week to get to a completed side.

  16. 2085/Cripps VC/2272nd

Shot up 10,000 places in the overall after two bye rounds. The third bye round will be toughest of all for me. Fingers crossed.

  17. 1931/Oliver/8.3k up from 12.5k

A decent score all things considered, with my 3 (Oliver, Crisp, Daicos) today bringing it home well. Hoping the week off spurs Darcy to life.

  18. 1867/Brayshaw/was 910 up to 858

Can’t really complain much this week. Probably holding trades at this stage but might do some sideswap of Brodie or Cameron out for English to finally get him in the team.

  19. 1967/Neale/570

Next week in trouble with Kelly, Butters, Hayes all doubtful starters. Might be able to get to 18 with some creative trades. Not having Oliver is starting to really hurt.

  20. 1846/Jelly/3039 (up 263)

Won 9/10 leagues and up 6 spots in SCT group.
Pretty happy with that score considering I only had 17 players and my pod captain choice was my 9th best scorer.

  21. 1776/Darcy/30 down to 78
With 14 premo’s, 18 playing and a brand new recruit in Walsh I was happy with my bye planning… what could go wrong I thought… happy days… no… they weren’t happy days at all… Durdin and Owens couldn’t reach 50 combined. Walsh stunk it up as my VC so I picked Hodor thinking he could crush Reeves in the palm of his hand… not the case… I did feel he was underscored a bit and had a big role in their comeback against the Hawks. I really can’t complain with the rest of the team – this week was more about the players I have traded out with N. Daicos and Cog’s getting their revenge… 3 trades to a full team next week… tossing up last spot between Mills and Laird… but Himmelberg is an interesting one too with his new role… can see him getting the Def added to his Fwd so may be a decent swingman with Skinner after Round 18

    1. Interesting to see what happens when Nick Haynes comes back into the GWS lineup as Himmelberg has been playing his role.

      1. Yeah I saw Haynes was an emergency on the weekend so they must think Himmelberg is doing a better job of it than Haynes was…

  22. 1905 / Oliver / 13 272 up 4722 places.

Second week in a row I’ve gone up the rankings.

    8-10 league wins.

Getting Cogs back for Baz was a great move.

I’m trying to get in Laird for my last mid, team finished with 5-6 trades left.

      1. Hey Bomber..

Should be kinda finished this week.

I will still have Whitfield D6, Petracca M8 , Gawn and English in ruck and , Butters F6.

I should have at least 5 trades so may look at a luxury upgrade at some stage closer to finals.

  23. Was always going to be my toughest bye week, 1662, Cripps VC 252, lost 3000 places, lost both my leagues, rookie bench turning into injuries & dropped, 1 off from full premo, but might have 2 sideways luxury trades after that if I can find any money.

  24. Going into last game I was 123 in front but only had Oliver as capt vs Oliver gawn(c) crisp and petrecca
Panic traded chasing the win as I am only interested in league results.
Traded Witt’s to gawn and bont to petrecca.
Only downside forgot to put the e on petrecca ( or put him on the field). When I checked the teams at 15.20 I realised my mistake. Ended up going down by 23

  25. 1809- Oliver – 4863

Only managed to win 3/10 league games but somehow managed to move up 44 spots overall so no complaints really, considering only 17 players, and one of them was Owens. Traded in Merrett, Wehr & Owens and should hopefully be able to finish off my team next week. Although tempted to hold Daicos awhile longer. Looking at having 21 for next week (maybe a stretch as that’s counting Butters, Rioli, Preuss) so will wait and see what the Supercoach Gods throw at us for the final bye round. Gawny looked sore and will appreciate the week off.

  26. 1647/16/Oliver – 1135 down 744

Worst of the byes behind me and somehow won 2/10 leagues with this score, expected to drop much more.

6 trades left, team basically done and will have plenty of bodies on field next week – had planned to bring in Doch this week but Gwen’s BE was ridiculously low I couldn’t pass, that obviously didn’t work out but now I have English, Witts, Gawn and Preuss with a full midfield and forward line so just need a premo def to finish off and hopefully start climbing back up the ladder post byes.

Surprised my round rank was so high as didnt have a great captain and Owens as my 18th.
But only Clarke, Walsh, Brodie and Butters were under 95 from the rest of my team. Cogs huge and Daicos very handy dunno if I wanna trade him now.

Bought in Wehr, Owen, Sinclair and Merrett.
reversed daicos back to Paddy as had Wehr on bench which costs some points but worried about players next week. No butters, mrj, owens and Preuss? will make it tight.
is Himmelberg worth a thought for butters to get 18 players?

  29. 1962/Oliver/34+K

Pretty rapt with that from a bare minimum 18 playing players, including Parish & Owens’ injury affected scores. Blew away my last week’s score by 340 despite having 2 less players playing. Go figure.
Coniglio carrying the forward line with a monster score & me finally getting a captain choice right are my highlights of the week. Preuss & Hayes going MIA at the most inconvenient time of year the lowlights.

  30. Ok so last midfield spot – have the cash for anyone – what would you do?
    My midfield is –
    Neale-parish-McRae -Oliver -laird -Miller -Cripps
    Fwds
    English-Dunkley-Parker-Brodie-coniglio-butters
    Final spot?

      1. I’m thinking Mills, swans have a great run home especially in last 4 games so may be good option.
        May switch butters to Bont?

  31. 1,863 / Cripps / ~ 4,650

Moving in the right direction for overall – like many, ended up a couple players lighter because of Preuss and Rioli, and copped Owens’ injury score.

With one more bye to go, I have 20 on field pre-trades, but expect it’ll be 17 because of the two above, plus Owens’ concussion.

  32. 1814/Coniglio/14594

Only fielded 16, could have easily hit 2k if Preuss played, Parish tonned and Darcy wasn’t limp but not to worry. Will take the odd 1800 rank jump.

Shout out to Gra Pol, who pumped out a 2000+ courtesy if Himmelberg!
