Ordinary start to the year with so many underwhelming rookie scores.

Neale had one of his worst ever games.
Perryman was down after last week.
    Garcia looks like a flick.
Most other premos were unders, Sheezel, Serong and JHF

Pretty happy with Cerra, Rozee, Macrae, Daniel and Smith so far. Only premos that did well were TDK and Xerri.

Plenty of decisions running through my mind now

Took a punt had vc xerri but rolled the dice and Anderson went well
Couple of underperforming rookies particularly in the red & black colours but they will still generate cash and that’s their job

Horrible but still 20k higher than round one last year.

Some of my speculative punts may turn into “punted” as they did not so well. Included Milera, Cleary, Ryan and Tastes from the so called experienced ones. First year rookies are all forgiven as they will find their way at differing levels.

Liked the look of Bice and Draper when they came on for limited time.

couple of dice throws didn’t work so have to change it back a bit – seems trying for PODs isnt my strong point

Not a great start but I think it’s a lot of good players just not quite firing so not going to panic cause I trust the structure. Garcia, Sanders and Tsatas are the only 3 I’m reconsidering. I’ve got cash for Sanders to Smith so I’ll do that and maybe Tsatas to Ashcroft who I cut when Fagan said he’d be sub

Pretty happy, aced my captain. Had a nice finish with Anderson and Flynn clawing my score up and lucked out in some rookie roulette.

The only issues, and It’s going to sound like a late night infomercial but I’ve got a wee P problem in Perryman, Peatling, Parker and Powell Pepper. Gonna require surgery. Just who to cut first….

    • I expected Parker to really go hard, but bits of the game I saw, I was not impressed with him. I may be able to swap him for SDK. It’ll be a hard long think…

      • Stats were a lot better than 69, but he seems out of CD’s good books. I’m a hold for another round. he’s not losing money and rookie cash cows are a bigger correction requirement.

But if there’s a rookie 100-200k cheaper than him on the same points next week he’s gotta go.

  7. 2,148, Xerri, not to bad, as with a lot, left points on the bench. SPP…hmmm….not sure if I’ll give him a mulligan and another chance, or trade to a cheaper rookie…might let the dust settle for a day or 2…

Neale very disappointing. After Bont went down quickly followed by Butters my attention turned to the Lions. 50/50 call was wrong. Bailey Smith had the best game he will have all year, that also hurt.

Got the Levi news and dropped FOS. That will save a trade. Small win.

    Placed 11k over all.

Decision will be. Keep Flynn or replace with smith.? Both highly owned.

75000 better than last years rabble.

Last minute changes of SDK to Perryman and punting Baz after having him since the team picker opened stung as a Cats fan. I still think Baz will be managed but I have missed the big score.

Good things? Brought in Rankine at the last minute
Bad things? Dumped Smith and TDK to afford Rankine

    Solid enough start though

Not great. Left creating my team a bit later than usual and tried a couple PODs who haven’t worked out. How it usually goes lol. Still, it feels like minor adjustments are needed at the moment and can feel out the next week or so without cracking it and pulling a boost out this early.

i didn’t have any massive POD’s, but the few lower owned players (under 29% owned) all did good: Dawson, Cerra, Rankine, Holmes, Gawn, Brayshaw, Rozee all cracked the 100+.

I didn’t have any terrible scores JHF and Short’s 83’s were my worst of the non-rookies.

i avoided Day, Perryman, Neale, Sanders, Peatling who were all in and out of the last few days.

happy with that. could have easily been 2250+ with the right rookies on field (knevitt flex, ashcroft for tsatas). couple disappoiting scores from tsatas, sanders, perryman but could have been a lot worse

Midprice madness was a mid result.

    Sanders, Parker and Day disappointed.

Stewart was on track for a big day before the injury but still capped the ton.

Holmes, Rankine, TDK and Flynn (for his price) flew the flag.

I dropped Lashcroft like many others on the sub news and left out some key rookies, but that’s just how it goes round 1. Now the question is who goes for Lashcroft, O’Drisc and Knevitt.

Not a bad start for me despite Neale’s 40. Pretty happy with the structure with minor fix ups next week with Perryman and some rooks.

    Studs:
    Roberts
    Rozee
    Cerra
    NOD
    Knevitt
    Xerri
    TDK
    Rankine
    Macrae
    Smith
    Flynn

    Duds:
    Neale (WTF!)
    Perryman
    Short
    W.Ashcroft
    JHF
