ADELAIDE:

Brett Turner (foot) 2 weeks
Fischer McAsey (leg) test
Rory Sloane (knee) season
Paul Seedsman (concussion) season

Josh Rachele and Patrick Parnell have both recovered from corked thighs and are expected to be available to play. Jordon Butts has also exited the AFL’s concussion protocol and will be available. Fischer McAsey has resumed running and will be tested at training this week. Brett Turner is making good progress from a foot injury and is expected to be integrated into training next week with a view to being available in the next fortnight.

BRISBANE: BYE.

Dayne Zorko (minor hamstring) Scans revealed on Monday a minor hamstring strain and will be monitored for the next two weeks. With the bye he may not miss any games? Darcy Gardiner (back) He received a knock to his back in the third quarter and returned to the ground. Post match he had required medical treatment for fluid on the lungs. He is currently resting and will continue to be closely monitored over the coming days.

Adam Cerra Hamstring Subbed out in the first quarter against Essendon, with scans confirming a low-grade strain.
Expected to miss the next two games. (Update: 14 June) 
David Cuningham Knee Has been restricted in his training loads for a number of weeks due to calf tightness.
Current focus is on running program and light skills: plan is to have him available late in season. (Update: 30 May) 
Ed Curnow Calf Returns to the ball program this week.
Availability will be determined at how quickly he adapts to skills program in coming weeks. (Update: 14 June) 
Caleb Marchbank Knee Further specialist consultation confirmed a meniscus tear, which led to surgery.
Expected to be available in 6-8 weeks. (Update: 14 June) 
Oscar McDonald Back Was placed on the Inactive list last week after being ruled out for the season with a back stress fracture. (Update: 30 May) 
Mitch McGovern Hamstring It has been almost a month since completing surgery on his injured hamstring.
Mitch is back into his running program and is where he is expected to be at this stage of his recovery.
A timeline on his return has not changed and at this stage is expected to be six to eight weeks away. (Update: 30 May) 
Luke Parks Foot Rehab is currently focused on gym work.
Remains a chance to play late in the season. (Update: 30 May) 
Marc Pittonet Knee Progressing really well and is back in the heavy conditioning and running program in the last few days.
At this stage the aim is for him to be available to play in four weeks. (Update: 14 June) 
Jacob Weitering AC joint Recovered well after surgery, with focus now on getting strength back.
Back running this week and is expected to be back within a month. (Update: 14 June) 
Zac Williams Calf Two weeks removed from sustaining the high-grade calf strain in Round 9.
Timeline on recovery has not changed, aiming to be available to play late in the season. (Update: 30 May)

Tim Taranto will undergo a fitness test at main training on Thursday to assess his availability for Saturday night’s match.Phil Davis is expected to return in either AFL/VFL? Harry Perryman will also be sidelined after suffering four broken ribs in Sunday’s match. He has been released from hospital but will remain in Melbourne for a few more days for observation. The 23-year-old will be sidelined for at least a month with a timeline to return to the field unknown at this early stage.

 Max Ramsden has recently completed his strength and conditioning block to prepare him to play.Although not injured, Ramsden has yet to play at VFL level to enable him to make improvements within this area. He is now expected to be available for selection after the bye.  Connor Downie has received another setback after injuring his other hamstring while training last week. He is expected to miss the next four to six weeks. Pending a specialist’s review, Ben McEvoy may be able to come out of his neck brace for a return to skills training over the coming weeks. If all goes well, he is expected to build towards a return to football in the second half of the season. Max Lynch is continuing to work with club doctors and external specialists to guide his progress through his concussion protocols. He has made a return to non-contact training and will look to return to football sometime after the bye.  Josh Ward is training well in a non-contact fashion after he was unable to progress through the final stages of his concussion protocols given some intermittent symptoms. The club is currently working with external specialists to help manage these, with his return to play set to be dependent on how he progresses through the rest of the protocols. Tom Phillips is also coming towards the end of his rehabilitation following his ankle injury. He has returned to skills training and should be available for selection come Round 15.

    Melbourne skipper Max Gawn is looking at a period of time on the sidelines with a syndesmosis injury. Typically 4-8 weeks.

    Also… defender Daniel Turner will undergo surgery on a facial fracture sustained in his debut and miss around a month

      “It’s obviously disappointing that we will be without our leader for the next three to five weeks, but we’re hopeful it’ll be a relatively quick recovery for Max, and he won’t miss too much footy.”

  3. Fremantle: Sam Switkowski (back) – Scans have revealed he has another fracture in his back.
    “Sam will require a period of non-running followed by a repeat scan before being cleared to progress in his return to training,” Fremantle football operations manager Peter Bell said.

    “It is not possible to ascertain an exact timeframe with this type of injury.
