Thanks Schwarz. I’ll send you the completed excel spreadsheet when I’ve done the last JLT game and you can share it with the community. It’ll be easy then for peeps to look at specific players/stats/whatever with the drop downs.
Cheers
If you go to this much trouble, I’ll be sure to post it. Thanks mate!
Absolute legend allsaints, super impressive work.
Great stuff all saints thanx
This is awesome!
Don’t know how blokes like yourself and adam find the time for all of your research and stats , but the rest of us sure appreciate it.
Amen to that! Thanks AllSaints!
Took a while to do the first one, but have it down to under 10mins/game now. Too easy. And a pleasure 🙂
10mins for a that. Wow!!!!!
Terrific work, AllSaints. Keep them coming!
INcredible work…
Legend!
Awesome work AllSaints! Legend .. thanks…
Kudos AllSaints
The 4 people that thumbs downed this post can piss off and not come back! Bloody amazing work, the most helpful pre season post so far!
I reckon they’re accidental! I thumbsed-down a post by accident last week and it wouldn’t let me undo it despite all my efforts. Can’t see how anyone wouldn’t appreciate this information.
Yeah people can thumbs down also if a player or 2 performed worse than they had hoped so you can’t read too much into a couple of thumbs down.
How lucky is the SCT community to have members give their time and effort to this great site. All Saints only stumbled on this site in the last year or so and has been enormous with his contributions as well as Ben and Nato stepping up this year and I am sure I will have missed others.
I am sooooo sorry… I was zooming in on the page and I accidently pressed the thumbs down button. Once it’s pressed theres no way you can change it. I spent ages trying. I am super guttered because this is incredible work…
I sorry everyone… (I felt terrible)
Bloody great stuff Sainter!!
Great stuff thank you
Terrific stuff, allsaints. Can’t wait to see all your statistical prowess channeled into your team!
Absolutely fantastic All saints, the time that I’ve saved by not having to do it myself has enabled me to put some water on my drought stricken garden thus saving a few hundreds dollars of new plants.
I have a query (not a criticism). How many minutes p/game?
I started a similar exercise on the Carlton Essendon game and the quarters added up to 126 minutes and six seconds, obviously including time on (Q1-33:41, Q2-26:15, Q3-33:05, Q4-33:05) your sheet looks to be about 125 minutes for that game which is close enough for me. My query is are all your games calculated on 125 minutes/ quarter length including time on or are they calculated on another number?
Obviously time on doesn’t effect the actual minutes of play because its added due to stoppages so nobody is getting stats but, if game x only had 10-mins of time on and game y had 20 minutes of time on the variance in ppm could be significant.
Yes, I’m a pedantic bloke.
The first game of the Rd CARvESS was estimated from AFL times. ALL other games are compiled from the FootyLive App, which gives you precise mins and secs per qtr. They are calculated to the exact second 😉 saddo that I am.
I will also change the CARvESS time played before next week’s update following JLT Rd2. Thanks for the reminder. If you download the spreadsheet there are a number of other errors that I’ve already spotted (couple of player positions), but can I ask that if you or anyone else spots any other errors, please post them here and I will make sure they are corrected for next week.
Cheers
AS

Number 1 draft pick Sam Walsh is $207,300. Setting that as our cutoff price, here’s the number of players in the above list by position:
DEF: 13
MID: 20
RUC: 3
FWD: 12
TOTAL: 42
Average SC, PPM, $PPM by position:
DEF: 60, .81, 176
MID: 68, .89, 157
RUC: 69, .76, 199
FWD: 60, .83, 166
Don’t forget about the 3300 rule. Supercoach scores are actually weighted down during JLT because teams can play 26 players each game and a couple more on excessive heat days.
The “Prodigal Son” returns! 😉
It’s been a longtime, Deano. I’ve been lurking around for a couple weeks now, check out your punters club post
Very impressive information and this whole website is a gem. I’d love to tell my mates about it but it’s my year to impress and this website is my secret weapon
Thanks again for ya hard work and contribition
SCT – The worst kept secret in SuperCoach 😉 Thanks for dropping in Aaron, glad you enjoy it!
Wow, what an amazing effort. Thank-you, awesome stuff!
I’m left scratching my head at the 4 nuffies who gave it a thumbs down!!!
Great work Allsaints. Since you are putting in so many hours, how about I send you my log-in and you can pick my team too?
