    T/D: Merrett

    Can alternatively opt for J Kelly, however, would have to sacrifice two bench covers for rest of the season.

    Leaning towards Fyfe because of his ceiling and just the fact he’s Nat Fyfe

    1. I tossed up these two and went merrett. Only reasoning that swayed me is the potential sliding forward of fyfe as soon as freo are completely ruled out of finals. Might cut his mid time and points even more.

  2. Is it worth bringing in mosquito this week as a 3rd trade for cash generation?

    2. I’m voting Mosquito because he has the cooler name, we know he is playing this week and I don’t trust GWS rookies (Hately anyone?). That being said, I’ll probably trade them both in.

  6. TU: Sicily, Yeo, Georgiades –> Steele, Jelly, Riccardi. Would allow me to bring a good final defence premo and two relatively good forward premos in the next few rounds
    TD: Sicily, Yeo, Georgiades –> Macrae, J Martin/Simpkin, Riccardi. Gives me a relatively good defence, mid and forward premo over the next two weeks

    1. hi hazza. As a Simpkin owner, I would definitely take Martin over him if given the choice as he has shown more potential than Simpkin throughout the year. The only reason why I still have Simpkin is because he has cost me so much dollars that I refuse to lose all that money in a rage trade. I hope though that the future rounds prove me wrong, all the best : )

  10. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Gaff?

    Some of his down scores were against Adelaide (Tagged) / Sydney (tagged – still managed 83) & Geelong who he also scored poorly against last season.

    1. I rate him to finish off your MID.

      Like I said to AJ the other day, Gaff was the only Eagle who didn’t look suicidal when we were stuck up in QLD. Plays Metricon well, could be set for a strong month.

    1. I’m taking Titch myself. I feel like Bont won’t go that big against Geelong. Maybe you gain 60 points but potentially lose more?

    1. Go the loophole by giving Close the E and switching Wicks to bench with a non player if Close scores well. (Assuming you have a non player being a bye round)

  18. Waiting until teams for Swans & Saints are named to make the call but after a couple of subpar premium scores to start the round, I think hanging onto Rankine is a good gamble as he could go big against North.

    T/U – Trade one of Bytel or Wicks to Cripps $6k or $3k left
    T/D – Trade Rankine to Cripps or Fyfe $133k or $88k left.

    Could trade Schoenberg too but I’d like to have him for coverage round 15.

  20. I still have Simpson to trade out this week. Trying to decide on which premo mid to get as M7. Will still have 2 premo’s left to trade in after this round – a mid and def.

    My current mids are : Neale, Oliver, Macrae, Cripps, Titch, Zerrett

    TU: J Kelly seems the best option as had his bye and can go huge, but with ordinary bench coverage, I am worried about him missing a game with injury. He is probably more than I want to spend as will limit my last 2 upgrade options.

    TD: If I ignore players with the R15 bye (Steele, Bont, Danger), that leaves me with option of Fyfe or T Adams – both also injury prone. Adams bye in R16 should be ok as only have Grundy out. Leaning more towards Adams as more a point of difference, have been burnt by Fyfe already once this season, plus he will spend time resting in the forward line.

    Would appreciate any votes – to Jelly or a cheaper option in Adams/Fyfe or other suggestions welcome.

  22. Is Docherty going to come good? This season. Has his role changed? Is he carrying an injury. What is the cause of his supercoach scoring dropping away?
    I’m seriously considering trading him out (for Ryan), but have a sneaky suspicion he will immediately revert to some big scores.
    TU: trade him & burn the cash
    TD: hold him & use the cash elsewhere (get a premium R2 sooner)

  30. Not worried about next weeks bye as this is for Tech Team and not a H2H finals round so who would you rather have in your team –

    TU: Dangerfield
    TD: M Duncan

    Or comment for Boak but his consistency isn’t great compared to the Cats boys.

    1. Hey Barbie, I went for Duncan 4 or 5 weeks ago because his clean with the footy and kicks goals he hasn’t let me down.. Danger is great player and gets a lot of it but shanks it a bit and gives away frees..

      1. But of course I went Duncan, 80 points disappointing compared to Danger, and even Boak is on 80 at half time. Sums up my season. Pretty much every decision has been the wrong one the week I trade in a player.

    I can C on Bytel now he’s dropped if can’t use a bye player.

    1. You can use a bye player for the loophole. Throw the C on one of em and enjoy that sweet sweet Merrett score.

  45. Going for league win and leaning towards Lloyd for C. Had the VC on Titch but need more to win.

      1. I’m at 867 from 9 players and he’s 896 from 10 played.

        He’s most likely gonna put the C on Steele and he’s also got Luke Ryan, Haynes, Serong and Riccardi to play. While I’ve got Lloyd, Bell, Fyfe, Petracca and Goldstein.

        I still feel like I should go Grundy though…

  47. Things haven’t gone according to plan and I need to use my last trade for the week on an upgrade. Opponent and I have Rankine but I’m thinking of trading him to J. Kelly (unique) or T. Adams (to negate opponents Adams score). Any insight?

    Could still win without making a trade but it’s do or die.

      1. I’m in the same boat so I’ll be holding off to see how my h2h is playing put. I won’t risk the Grundy C if I don’t have to. The way things are going though, I might not have the choice.

  55. If I leave things as is, I need Doch and Simpkin to total less than 196 combined to win my qf. I currently have v on Macrae, and have kept it there as oppt has c on him. I’m worried that either Doch or Simpkin go off. My other c options are still Cripps, Grundy, and Goldy, all of which oppt has.
    Is it worth taking the risk and taking c of GCS loop Tovey and putting it on Grundy…….I think he could go huge against Pitt. It will also allow Williamson to come on field as a hail Mary and maybe beat Ridley’s 76 which is my lowest counting score at this point.

    T /D No…hold and hope ( Grundy projection will only add 19 pts to my score)

  58. Sorry, I’m having a bit of a brain fart when it comes to the top 18 scores using ‘any emergencies required’ – if all my fwds are actually playing, will I still get the emergency score if its in my top 18… or because an emergency isn’t required, I won’t??
    Basically I have riccardi as an emg and want his score to count.
    Sorry if that’s been covered.
