Bit of a confusing one here coaches, would really appreciate the read and peoples thoughts as this will be my last trade for upgrading. Either way will have 3 trades banked for injury/luxury moves.
Currently have the ability to use McCarthy to cover an injury in any line via dpp (all my fwds are mid eligible which helps) and I have Jmac as my flex.
I feel like it may be important to be able to use McCarthy as a d7 loop however on weeks where there isn’t any carnage. My concern is my non playing defensive rookie is Campbell Gray who is listed as 2-4 weeks, if he comes back then I will lose the ability to loop down back.
Which of the following makes more sense?
(Remember I already have cover on all lines)
Tu: Bring in a non playing rookie with Def/Fwd dpp swing to use with Gray, in order to be able to loop McCarthy
Td: Bring in Butler and have the extra warm bench body with the potential to lose the ability to loop McCarthy down back
Hope this makes sense, apologies for the lengthy write up & good luck to all coaches!
who is the better option to trade out for Sam Darcy
T/u Rankine (doesnt look like he is getting much midfield time now but when he does play midfield has a good average)
T/d Shai bolton (has a high ceiling but very up and down and looks like fyfe is taking his midfield time)
Rankine CBA rate hasn’t actually dropped it’s stayed about the 45-50%, he’s simply just been out of form. Hopefully a week off and has Richmond + a very nice run home he can get back to 95+ average.
Bolton has lost majority of his CBA’s, If you look at the game through a coaches lense, Bolton is far more valuable to Freo as a forward. Plus Freo have heaps of mids especially with Young returning in the next few weeks.
I think Bolton is the clear trade out of these two. Good luck mate
You wouldn’t trade rankine with the Tigers this week.
Ive had Bolton for a few weeks and have watched him with great frustration. last week alone he botched two golden chances to kick goals, one he was tackled in the goal square and the other he kicked it out on full. instead for probably scoring 15pts he lost 10pt. that alone would have given him a 90. He isn’t getting many CBA’s, that is frustrating, but Fremantle have been good and the ball has been going forward so he is there abouts a fair bit. he is averaging 87 and i think that is what he can do for rest of the season at worst, maybe 90 with a chance of a spike game or two.
Do I go Liddy over McCarthy this week?
Mccarthy isnt on the bubble yet and he’s my 24th to loop with McKercher anyway .. think i prefer the cash from liddy and get mccarthy next week.
TU: Get Liddy this week mccarthy next week
TD mccarthy this week and pass on liddy

wait until/if Gray comes back
remeber he was only getting games when Balta couldn’t play
3 trades for 8 weeks never works you have players rested injured and suspended. Too hard to early seen it so many times.

it does feel a bit sideways

Touk Miller or Callum Mills and $130k?
5 trades left. Team at full premo. Use 1 trade for Darcy or 2 x trades to get Bont (leaving 3 for emergency till end of year).
TU:
OUT – Bolton & Zac Johnson;
IN – Bont & Liddy
TD:
OUT – Bolton
IN – Darcy
is Bont, is Good
Clear out dead rookies and leave A Clarke and Z Johnson to make cash after the bye or save a trade and miss out on an extra price rise.
TU: 3 trades and $69k left over
Hardeman, Gray, Husthwaite > Mills, Darcy, Liddy
TD: 2 trades
Hardeman, A. Clarke > Mills, Darcy
7 trades left one upgrade to go
Make the last upgrade Sam Darcy with 5 trades left which means fading bont (the thought of it makes me sick tbh)
Trade neale to Bont and make the next upgrade next week leaving me with 4 trades
These 2 hard to split for F6
TU MaCrae
TD Darcy
Hewett vs Touk Miller last mid.
TU Hewett
TD Miller
Thank you

Last upgrade for flex
Tu- Macrae
Td-Serong
Went C.Hall, Hustwaite & Gray to J.Martin, Darcy & McCarthy last week.
Team before trades this week,
Def – Holmes, Sinclair, Dale, Sheezel, Rozee, Roberts (Clarke,McCarthy)
Mid – Butters, Naicos, W.Ashcroft, Neale, Trac, Daniel, Warner, Rankine (Z.Johnson Knevitt, El-Hawli)
Ruc – Xerri, Marshall (Boyd)
Fwd – Smith, Macrae, JHF, Darcy, Bolton, J.Martin (Pedlar, Stone)
Flex – TDK
$58,200 ITB, 12 trades left, 2 boosts
Have gone Knevitt to Liddy ($148,000). Would appreciate any thoughts on any moves I should do this week as I’m unsure what to do.
I’d probably look at Bolton to Bont
Neale to Bont?
Or use the cash to turn Bolton into a mid premo
Is it a little bit concerning for those (including myself) bringing in Mills this eeek with Lloyd and Florent both returning??
Do we think he will maintain that QB role?
I’m hoping he pushes Sheldrick out the the midfield.
Tu- Mcrea
Td- Serong
Oops sorry
Bit of a delay.
Good luck everyone
TU: Out – Roberts & Neale, IN – Bont & Macrae
TD: Out – Roberts & Warner, IN – Bont & Darcy
Need to bank 100k roughly to bring in Jmac
Already have McCarthy
Tu; Merrett > Mills
Td; Johnson > Butler (via dpp)
