    • Thanks CT, was thinking about retaining JHF as one of those recovery weeks was the Port bye. But if he’s missing 3 games plus the bye, I’m leaning towards trading him.

  2. DPP Changes

    CONNOR ROZEE: Lock him in.
He had his highest CBA percentage since round 4 against Geelong but still featured at only 28 per cent despite Jason Horne-Francis’ hamstring injury.

    ZACH MERRETT: Not likely.
Merrett was present at 81 per cent of centre bounces, his second-highest percentage of the season. As a result, he’s going to miss out on MID-FWD status

    WILL ASHCROFT: Stocks have fallen.
He featured in 55 per cent of centre bounces against Melbourne, which was his highest percentage since round 3 and second-highest of the year. He’s been edging toward DPP by 1 per cent a week so would need to play almost exclusively forward in round 11 to become a MID-FWD.

MARCUS BONTEMPELLI: The dream is unlikely
His forward time is at 23 per cent – well short of the magic 35 per cent threshold.

TOUK MILLER: Not going to happen.
Touk has spent 75 per cent of games in midfield.

    NASIAH WANGANEEN-MILERA: No
Even playing 100 per cent mid against the Suns this week wouldn’t get him DPP, at least this time around.

KYSAIAH PICKETT: Just about sealed DPP.
His split sitting at 46 per cent midfield and 56 per cent forward time in his seven matches.

    DANIEL TURNER: Yes. FWD/DEF
Has played 56 per cent of game time in defence in his six games

    AARON FRANCIS: Concussion casualty
Will miss out on DPP after sustaining a concussion against Carlton. He’ll miss round 11 and fall short of the six-game threshold required to be eligible for DPP mid-season.

    JORDAN DE GOEY: Selection dilemma
Looked a lock for FWD-MID but needs to play this week to meet the games threshold – and get his mid time up from 32 to 35 per cent.

    Corey Wagner: Tick
He bumped his mid time from 34 per cent to 44 per cent last round, all but locking in MID-DEF status.

    Cooper Simpson: Next time
Fwd who has played 100 per cent game time in defence – but won’t qualify in this round after playing just three games.

    Sam Banks: Yes
Will be a DEF-MID after playing 45 per cent of game time in the midfield.

    Oscar Allen: Positional switch problematic
He returned to the forward line on Sunday, likely ruining his DPP chances – he has played 31 per cent in defence this year.

Tim Kelly FWD time is 27 per cent so unlikely.

    • Need to remember these injuries are running into bye weeks- where it’s best 18.
So could easily hold through the byes- especially picking one to sit on bench

Jeremy McGovern’s return to footy is in the hands of the
AFL, it’s a process that is becoming more common with three specialists involved.

If he doesn’t pass, could miss the rest of the season.

  9. Carlton: Positive scans for Jack Silvagni and his groin injury, coming up all clear. The defender didn’t train today and is only a remote chance to feature against GWS, but isn’t expected to be sidelined long-term.

Tom De Koning set to return.

Lachie Schultz will miss a second game due to concussion. He’s still working through the protocols.

  12. Jayden Short: Calf, 1-2 weeks

“Shorty missed a game a couple of weeks ago, where he pulled out in the warm-up due to knee soreness,” Serpell said.
“Unfortunately, in the last couple of weeks, that knee soreness has tracked to the back of his leg, and he has sustained a small soleus strain in his calf.

“We will manage that over the next couple of weeks, and just like we do with any of our other players, we will take a precautionary approach with it and give him a bit of time.
“He will miss the next one to two (weeks), so we can make sure that he is right to go when he is available
