  1. You may have noticed that it’s been pretty difficult to access the site lately. Please accept our apologies for that. We’re not cPanel/database experts, so we struggle through with our limited knowledge. If you are such an expert, please get in touch with me – Motts at supercoachtalk dot com.

We think the issue might be the Coaches Box so we’ve disabled it for the moment to see what effect it has. That means that the updates that were going in there will now go into a weekly post like this one. It’s disappointing because we love The Coaches Box but having people be able to access the site is more important. Hopefully this fixes things. Again, we’re really sorry for the substandard experience.

  2. Well I’m not Chaos Theory, and hopefully everyone will be back online soon. But for those who do have access to the site, here’s some team news for this long weekend of football:

ADE v BRL: Subs will be announced at 6:40pm AEST. Keep an eye out for Luke Pedlar – I have a sinking feeling he may cop the dreaded green vest tonight.

SYD v RIC: Matt Roberts will miss this week due to illness. Callum Mills returns from suspension, but Caiden Cleary has been omitted. Noah Balta returns at the expense of Campbell Gray, who has been omitted.

GEE v GCS: Dangerfield returns from injury.

GWS v PTA: Nick Madden ($119K ruc) will debut in place of the injured Briggs. Angove has been omitted, while Brent Daniels makes a long-awaited return.

NTH v WCE: Finnbar Maley has been omitted. Still no Clay Hall for the Eagles! Jamie Cripps finally returns for WCE.

CAR v ESS: Four ins for the Blues include Williams, Silvagni, Fantasia and Cincotta. Jaxon Binns has been omitted but Matt Carroll has held his spot in the 23. Darcy Parish is the big in for the Bombers at the expense of Elijah Tsatas. Rookies Angus Clarke and Zak Johnson have both held onto their spots.

MEL v COL: Teams for the King’s Birthday clash will be announced on Sunday evening

  3. Gold Coast: Noah Anderson

“He’s gone for scans on his chest, just precautionary. We think he’s OK. Our doctor cleared him. I think the ARC sent him off to have a (HIA) but the doctor cleared him of that. It’s just his chest.”

    • Scans last night cleared Gold Coast captain Noah Anderson of any major internal damage after the heavy hit from Geelong’s Tom Stewart.
Anderson has joined teammates on the Suns’ flight home this morning

  16. AFL: It was the view of the MRO that Stewart’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and did not constitute a reportable offence.
