  1. Connor Rozee will undergo scans to determine the severity of the injury.

“He’s got a sore hand, I think a dislocated finger,” Ken Hinkley said.

“It was like, ‘We’re not quite sure how this is looking, we’ll take some necessary action here and take him out of the game based on (the fact) he’s too important to us for not just today but for the long term and we’ll look after him.’

  3. Carlton: Ben Camporeale has been handed a 4 week suspension following a nasty head clash that left two Brisbane players with concussion last Friday at Ikon Park.

The incident was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, meaning Camporeale can accept a four-match ban with an early plea.

Deven Robertson was left with a concussion and broken teeth after Camporeale pushed him into James Tunstill at a centre bounce.

Tunstill has also entered concussion protocols following the incident in the final quarter.

  7. Sick to death of how woke and soft our game is being made. Piss the umps out and let hard men be hard. If you charge in with ur head and cop a whack your fault as long as its not malicious. We arent netball…..

    • Your right about not rewarding leading with your head, but any suggestion that this game is not hard is ridiculous. So get rid of the umps ??? There are plenty of sports for the so called hard men…boxing, UFC etc….. The AFL is already dealing with law suits from old fashioned attitudes towards concussions, and societal values have moved on. As we know from coward punches, it takes only one for lives to be ruined. If we can remove any chance of that in the AFL, even acciidental head high contact, it is a good thing surely.

  8. Should SC add 3-5 trades to the season ? The carnage will mean people Will just switch off early which is a pity. In the other hand, people who held to their trades have to reap the rewards

    • I’ve always thought they should allow for sort of a sandbox thing, where you can de-register your team from the OR race and get trades. Just to have fun weekend to weekend.

That said, I think we’ll be an unlimited trade/weekly trade format very soon. Just with the nature of soft tissue injuries/lists and the need to retain marketshare vs Fantasy.

That’ll annoy the purists, who really were fantastic at long game, conservative and consequential trading, but those days are long gone.

      • There’s already too many trades as is and everyone has the same team by round 15 every year. If we ever get to unlimited trades that’d be the end of playing SC for me.

        • Agreed 100% with GMKC, we have way too many trades as it is. Teams are exactly the same and people who are selecting the wrong premiums and rookies are getting bailed out during the season.

30 Trades would be ideal I reckon

          • I still think there should be a third form of the game for the real hardcore SCers

Classic – as it is now, 40 trades and 5 boosts for those who love that T button

            Draft

Pro – 30 trades, no boosts, every man woman and child for themselves

            • Trades are one thing, but the classic game could do with another overhaul…perhaps?
The salary cap has remained the same for how many years?????
If we remember say 5 years ago – (or whatever) only Jake Lloyd in def got over 100…now there are 6 or 7 especially with the DPP changes twice a year
Rucks have gone beserk in scoring – now 5 or 6 over the 100 (used to be gawn, grundy plus say 2)
More mids than ever over 100 (casual observation)
FWDs the only sort of weak link, but still 4 to 6 at the 100
So – in my (not statistically analysed) opinion – the cost of starting your team has increased Vs previous years and Supercoach still insist on putting $200k rookies into mix…..(who haven’t played like Lalor this year)
Then we added a 23rd player (flex)
              All into same salary cap
If you increase salary cap a little to factor in 23rd player, higher cost of players at start of year…you probably need less trades? Just another viewpoint…

    • S/C won’t even allow me to vote against this..You have to be more conservative with trading and not rush in trying to be completely premium too early therefore blowing trades. You are in this game for the long haul not 16 rounds ..

    • It has been a trying week, that’s for sure.
Thanks again for your kind words.

I have been struggling with my trades this week. With few trades and many outs. Contemplating a myriad of choices but not quite being able to manage the optimal choice that I prefer.

Wishing everyone the best of luck with your trades this week and hopefully nail that inspired selection.

  18. Does anyone know whats going to happen in round 24 with essendon and gold coast?
Is scoring going to be like bbl supercoach if a team plays twice you get the players scores from that team twice?
Tried looking for an answer in the help/faq section but nothing comes up.

*** side note, interested as ill use my last lot of trades on gold coast players in that case for double score, essendon wont have anyone left by then.
