Zak Butters suspended for one-match ban for striking Tom Green in the first quarter.

Match Review Officer has handed down a one-match ban, grading the incident intentional, high contact and low impact.

“Early in the first quarter of the Power’s match against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday, Butters engaged in some push and shove with Giants midfielder Tom Green. The Power midfielder appears to strike Green on the left shoulder with an open hand, with his hand then rising up and collecting Green on the chin.”

* Port Adelaide  are yet to announce if they will accept or challenge the suspension.

# UPDATE. Zak Butters had his one-match ban for striking overturned at the AFL Tribunal. 

North Melbourne’s Kallan Dawson suspended for one game for a high elbow on Collingwood’s Jack Crisp.

The MRO has graded the incident careless, medium impact and high contact.

# UPDATE: Kallan Dawson has accepted his one-match ban for elbowing Collingwood’s Jack Crisp.

GWS’s Connor Idun has been fined for rough conduct on Jed McEntee. $3750 or $2500 for an early plea. The MRO has graded the incident Careless conduct, low impact and high contact.

Port Adelaide’s Ivan Soldo has been fined for rough conduct against Lachie Whitfield. $3750 or $2500 for an early plea. The MRO has graded the incident intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

  1. So an intentional elbow to the jaw is one week and bump in the play is 3 weeks? And no, I am not a Port supporter.

  2. They better be careful with the open hand forced contact to the stomach / ribs area then…….

    ……. that is of course unless their medical liabilities insurance only covers above the shoulders (even if it could have been accidental…….)

  3. How did Maynard not get his sling tackle even looked at? Collingwood absolutely kissed on the you know what by the AFL this week……
