Keays has been charged with misconduct and can accept a $1,000 fine with an early plea.
Lloyd Meek has no case to answer for his bump on Darcy Macpherson late in the first quarter
SATURDAY
Tim Kelly has been charged with umpire contact.
Kelly has been charged with careless contact with an umpire during the first quarter at the SCG and has been hit with a $1,500 sanction, which can be reduced down to $1,000 with an early plea.
There were no other charges laid from Saturday’s two games.
FRIDAY
Max King and Liam Stocker have avoided suspension after they were reported during their club’s game against Brisbane.
Max King was booked for striking Lions defender Ryan Lester during the second quarter
Liam Stocker was reported for rough conduct over what the officiating umpire deemed a dangerous tackle on Eric Hipwood during the second quarter.
Both reports were thrown out by the match review officer (MRO) on Saturday.
Incidents explained:
The matchday report laid against St Kilda’s Max King from the second quarter of Friday’s game between St Kilda and the Brisbane Lions was assessed. The ball is kicked towards St Kilda’s forward 50. The Brisbane Lions’ Ryan Lester takes possession of the ball at half back and negligible high contact is made by King. It was the view of the MRO that there was insufficient force to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
The matchday report laid against St Kilda’s Liam Stocker from the second quarter of Friday’s game between St Kilda and the Brisbane Lions was assessed. The Brisbane Lions’ Eric Hipwood takes possession of ball in the Brisbane forward 50 and is tackled by Stocker. It was the view of the MRO that the tackle did not constitute a reportable offence including because no high contact occurred. No further action was taken.

Just now wonder what everyone’s thoughts would be about Gary Rohan’s incident
Lol, So the appropriate amount of time has now passed has it Nato ? You were very quick to take the moral high ground when this was raised the night of the incident..
I fully excepted thumbs down. Without the freedom to express our views, what becomes of any society.
Seeing how serious that it looked being stretchered off, I was more concerned about his welfare than making straight remarks to Rohan.
Seeing he has come of quite well from this incident, I feel I am then able to look it this way.
I didn’t feel turning that straight to the MRO was respectful.
Everyone has their own opinion
I think Rohan should get a similar punishment to Kozzie/Jonas. I think what jumper the victim is in should be irrelevant (under the assumption that duty of care is the real issue).
If the powers that be want to be serious about tackles on the other hand, all slings should get one week, scale up from there for levels of force, irrespective of outcome. Just like speed limits, it’s the potential that is punished not the actual result of the act.

If they take duty of care into consideration Rohan SHOULD have been reported then we MAY HAVE HAD a proper interpution of what is or is not a accident .
Yes everyone has and is entitled to their opinion. There was no mention of MRO at that time Nato. Just a valid question being posed and you decided to P/A shut it down.Which is your right to do. I can say I am all fine right now, but having some medical complications with my brain caused more concern for myself and Cameron over this incident.
