We have support for the trades poll to be expanded so let’s have a crack at these for the folk out there on the site.
Firstly, Lisa wants to know how many trades did people use, or will have used, for the four bye rounds. I then thought to add a question on how many trades that leaves you after round 15 trading, but took it a step further to combine the facts with the philosophies and try and gauge what people thought would be an ideal number of trades to carry post round 15, not what you actually have left.
A few coaches are keen on the the thoughts of others regarding decisions around the new wonder ruck (small sample), Kieran Briggs. I’ve chucked a few options in there, as well as a question based on the best finishing ruck combo, in everyone’s opinion. To keep it a little more specific, I have limited the choices to those rucks with current averages above 100. Pick two in this section, and place any comments below so we get a clear view of the thought processes of y’all.

I find it hard to determine how many trades I feel I’d need after the bye rounds. If I had a full premo team I could probably do with a minimum of 5, but then it depends on going for overall/leagues.
With upgrades still required it would keep increasing by 2-3 trades
I can’t even vote in these polls yet as had my trades all sorted for this week – but no Oliver means I have no idea what to do now. So many hours spent – for no result. I was sure the Demons would bring him back this week.
Clarry was going to be my Sicily “get out of gaol free” trade. Not happy Jan !!
I’ve had the opportunity of bringing in Dawson for him, gives extra cash too
Can we make a submission to Andrew Dillon about the ridiculous situation of the uneven bye rounds in 2023?
Some continuity please, Andrew?
Just have 3 rounds of 6 teams (rip the Band-Aid off) and be done with it.
4 weeks in a row of dealing with injuries (Clarrie’s blisters anyone..?); the concussion rule, players being suspended for rule interpretations from the MRO and then the extended bye season.
How any coach (AFL or Supercoach) can plan for these weeks and deal with the fallout is near impossible!
Thoughts from anyone
Just 1 full bye week, where there is no footy or the old split round
