331/2/new recruit Wines wearing the v. Hoping to win leagues with 17 warm bodies and keep trades for next week…got two up my sleeve for this week just in case.
Wines has a purple patch every year ( usually around the Byes ) and looks to have stepped into the elite bracket of midfielders. Somehow he always reverts to the norm and averages 100-105. I think his low floor, mainly due to his poor DE let him down. This is his eighth year of AFL and he has never averaged over 105.
Last year he played 15 games and had a massive 189 in round 11 . He still only managed to average just under 105.
This effectively means he averaged around 97 either side of this huge game.
Duncan is a little older and more injury prone but his high DE, and ability to get involved in scoring chains give him a much higher floor. For the last four years he has averaged between 103- 109. This year averaging 113.5 even with the injury affected 73 and last nights 74. ( his two lowest scores)
I would personally much rather own Duncan going forward.
Hawkins ( 110 ) was great on debut, even though he faded in the second half.
Stewart ( 130 ) was awesome, and rewarded those who traded him in. ( I started him.)
Lachie Jones scored a goal and tried hard, a few crucial mistakes crushed what could of been an ok score. Lets hope I can drop his 43 as I have 20 playing this week.
Going on last weeks effort I doubt it.
I really want a decent score this week ( > 1900 ) I need to make up some rank this week , as next week looks diabolical.
No Reeves hurts, I really need him next week or I’m looking at 15-16 warm bodies after trades 🙁
But….can they drop Ceglar after that game ?
I traded Jiath before news of the Tigers / WC game got moved. If I had known he would of probably stayed, He looked like the break did him wonders. Congrats to CT and co who held him.
Mills solid again, He is keeping pace with Lloyd and for nearly $100k less to start, looks like a genius move at this stage.
Newcombe scored around what I expected from Reeves so that s ok.
12 tackles should see him hold his spot. Impey is frustrating but is so highly owned it seems to affect everybody. I’m hoping I can drop his score as he’s in my two lowest atm.
Mills 1o5
Newcombe 75
Impey 51
Looking forward to todays games, Miller has been heavily traded in. Will Brayshaw shine with no Fyfe ? Can Rowell get through a game ?
Could he be a cheap M8 for those struggling to finish a side ?
Then tonight, Steele and Crouch to hopefully fill their boots against the Crows.
Guys really need thoughts on my last trade this round. Contemplating either one of these trades;
Tu; Grundy > Touk Miller
(After next week Reeves will be my only rookie left on field, can hopefully get Grundy back in after a few weeks. This also gives me an extra premo and more points through the byes)
Td; Brockman > Newcombe
(Bank an extra 70k for next week)
…..so, I took trade for Guthrie -> Duncan Thursday,
…..then Friday Flynn -> Reeves,
so to clarify,…….. IF I TRADED REEVES TOO FLYNN before the game again, the trade WOULD OR WOULD NOT have counted…..
That is, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN STILL ONE TRADE ONLY, or A THIRD TRADE????????
1118/10/Wines. Slowed after great start..Highmore and Treacy awesome..L Jones to drop off leaving Kosi as only poor score so far….hoping to get to 1950.
You know that point of the season when you know you’re done, that point has come for me, Traded out both Bergman and Highmore for Reeves and Bianco. All season those two JS has been shaky, the minute Reeves was a late out I was cooked, then Highmore tonnes up, Gawwwwd!!
Big improvement on last week. Looking to drop Heeney (42), Jones (43), and Green (60). Glad I brought Newcombe in and held Highmore. Hall was also great on debut. Stuffed up by trading CJ to Whitfield though, that cost 40 points and $130k.
Gawn, Oliver, Jordon, Poulter and Bianco to come. Projected 1900 and hopefully a move up the ranks. Hoping for 17 onfield at least next week.
1753/15/Laird
Projected to get 2123 with 6 to play. Overall rank is only 23K so hopefully move up a few spots. 16 to play next week before trades, should be able to get to 18, maybe 19.
130/1
Just stewart for me

0/2
Yep, I was playing around with trades, hit reverse and had Stewart/Jones sitting on the bench without an E. Leaves me with 16 for the week.
Starting petition to not have to set Emergency’s during best 18. Please sign 🙁
I’ve seen a few teams do the same thing this round actually, I think you’ll have a few on your side.
Yep, seen a few get done with their loophole from last week too getting the C last night…..
Still doesn’t make me feel better about changing to Duncan last second in place of Wines.
I did this exact same thing! So frustrating.
Abs.
I think Duncan will be the right call long term.

Legend FT!
Thanks for the write up!
283 / 3 / Steele into Gawn.

Quick-ish update.
514 / 6- 20 / Steele- Gawn.

How’s everyone else doing ?
1285 / 12-20 / Steele
I’m taking Steele’s VC score, I’d rather lose a few points than go through an avoidable disaster like Grundy R 11.
I’m benching Bianco to take Highmore’s 111. I joked about him having to do something special , and he did !
Short better beat Bianco’s score, or he maybe out the door next week.
My two lowest scores are Jones 43 and Impey’s 51 I’m hoping to drop both at this stage.
Still to play..
Whitfield
Jelly
Ziebell
Dusty
Short
CCJ
Gawn
Poulter
Have a great Sunday everyone.
1899 / 18-20 / Steele
Gawn and Poulter to come.
Still looking to drop Jones 43 and Impeys 51 scores.
I’m hoping for >2000 . I think I may fall a little short.

Just to clarify fellow SCTians,…..Can you swap back on a second trade or more, or only the first trade???
But can’t do it if you have used all your trades. Even though you get your trade back, you have to have an available trade in order to trade back out.
…..so, I took trade for Guthrie -> Duncan Thursday,
…..then Friday Flynn -> Reeves,
so to clarify,…….. IF I TRADED REEVES TOO FLYNN before the game again, the trade WOULD OR WOULD NOT have counted…..

MOTTS AND CO. Where are you?……
TU ONE
TD. THREE
Thank you……now another loop hole to consider for Saturday trades on Sunday games…….reverse on Sunday…..
869/9/Gawn
Thought my weekend was over with a pair of 40s from Heeney and Jones, but Stewart, Miller, Laird and Highmore weren’t f*ckin’ around!
Hall, Ziebell, Martin, Short, CCJ, Gawn, Oliver, Racca and Bianco to come. Think 1900 is do-able.
5/699 Vc Laird taking the 134
Running about 15k
TU drop Harmes for Alirx2 with 84
TD Pussy – play Harmes
926 8/20 Steel VC
Really wish I’d kept highmore in hindsight oh well. Got 110 out of Thilthorpe so I should just be happy with that.
Do I take Steele’s score as my captain score or will Gawn trump him?
TU – Take Steele’s score
TD – Gawn’s our man this week

1328/12/Gawn
Lowest score is CCJ 81, hoping can push 2.1k
1753/15/Laird
Projected to get 2123 with 6 to play. Overall rank is only 23K so hopefully move up a few spots. 16 to play next week before trades, should be able to get to 18, maybe 19.
1713 17/18 without Captain yet. take the VC of Steele or hope Clarry goes huge today and leave the C on him? don’t have gawn :/
T/U Steele 126 (take)
T/D Risk it for Clarry (C)
