Im a Pies fan and all indications pointed to a big season however he is not spreading and getting easy uncontested marks like he used to, has a disposal efficiency of just 54%this year (39% by foot) and is not hitting the scoreboard or taking intercept marks.
The experiment last night did not work with Cox and Cameron. Cox is not AFL standard. A Grundy/Kruger ruck combo looks like the way forward which would result in a slightly higher TOG, but the biggest question mark is Grundys mindset.
I didn’t start with SDK, who is still only $158k after one price rise. Seems to have better JS than NOD but a lower ceiling. Who’s the better trade-in? Will be on my bench either way.
Not sure I’d be trading in either just to sit on bench.
SDK has better JS, and potential to stay long term with improved output- but only see him getting around 65 max average… not really going to generate cash
NOD I traded in to give DPP and because cash generation will be straight away. Might be lucky to stay in and average higher, but with Tucker, etc, waiting for one bad game I’m not sure about JS
18% trading him in this week- looking to gain about $50k this week
#Worth considering DPP that’s coming up, reckon guys like Pendlebury/Daicos will get def status as well
I have Grundy, English, Preuss, Xerri and Hayes.
Didn’t loop Grundy and have Xerri and Hayes on the forward bench.
Do I trade Butters for a never ever playing cheap Ruck/Fwd
Gives me Hayes score, cash to upgrade (probably Rowell)
And let’s me loop between my Ruck/Fwds each week.
TU yes do it
TD No trade. Butters will come good
And 1223/11/Macrae.
Anybody know when the new DPPs come in? I need it to magically fix my team!
And turn a lot of spuds into champions- yes- I’m looking at you Whitfield, Rowell, Grundy…
Leading 5/10 leagues but will need Sicily to stink it up to hold on in a few.
Ryan was scaled down 2 points and I lost a league match up ( ninja’s league ) by a single point.
I’m hoping this score can at least see me hold rank.
Tempted to use my first boost next week and get in another Premo mid. ( move Daicos back ) I want to trade Grundy, but his record against the Bombers is huge and it doesn’t look like Phillips will get up. He maybe a reluctant hold.
Will win 7/10 leagues. Eleven players @ 100+ and eight sub 80.
Short, Rowell, JHF, Chapman, Jackson, Witts and Blakey all sub par.
Expecting another move up the overall rankings.
Relatively happy with that. A few disappointments in Short, Grundy and Rowell but good performances from a few rookies made up for it. Could have got an extra 50-odd if I hadn’t swapped Dixon and Hayes. hopefully should be enough to keep me in the top 1000. Might think about downgrading Rowell to a rookie and bank the cash.
2252 /22 Macrae
I’m on the improve . Rowell Grundy a bit flat but may keep them
Loving Noddy
Is there a player that’s noted for his big ears ?
Would be a great fit.
A lot of underperformers, particularly JHF, Rowell, Grundy and Short but was ok with those considering high ownership. Occasionally I forget just how good everyone here is. Congrats to all the 2200+ people.
Currently thinking Rowell, Grundy to Touk and Preuss but we’ll see how the week plays out
Sorry my bad, looked too far ahead at the fixture.
Either way I’d wait another week. Miller had a BE of 188 this week, he’ll be cheaper when GC palys the Pies in rnd 7. Might or might not get tag by Pendle, just like Berry not a hard tag.
Just calculated Miller’s BE. After this round his BE will be 139 and should be sub $600K, making me think twice of picking him up this week instead. He’s not gonna LOSE(unless he has a stinker) or GAIN(unless he pull 200SC points) much cash. Actually don’t think he’s not get any cheaper than this.
Something for me to weigh on this week either Miller or Gawn.
Benny, I have Lipinski and believe me he is not pulling down trees either. Trade Rowell out ( he doesn’t look like a mid premo keeper) but upgrade to a proper premo and save yourself another trade.
I think a trade is in order but don’t think Lipinski is the option. Would try to get cash elsewhere to upgrade him to a serious premos like Touk, Steele or even hewett if you dont have.
A real up and down round with Sicily still to come. Very happy with my trades of Rowell and Hinge out for Hewett and NOD but some premos really let me down. Short, Grundy and Ridley undid the hard work of my Uber Premos.
Rachele on the field instead of Hayes hurts a little but should end up close to 2200 with Sic to play and 32 trades still in the bank feeling pretty good!
Good – English, Steele, Butters, Macrae as Captain, winning all my league matchups, O Driscoll, trades worked out well
Bad – only 4 scores over 117, Hayes 105 on the bench, Cripps missing
Ugly – 9 scores under 82, 7 under 71 – Ridley, daicos, Grundy, Rowell, McCartin, JHF, Rachele, Martin, short.
There goes my shot at top 2.5%. Had a horrid start to the season with players not performing and being forced to sideways trade because of injuries or role or performance. Good rookie cash gen should help get the team upgraded to full premo sooner than most, but won’t matter because every premo I pick will play horribly. Hopefully Sicily can pull me through to something like 2220, but likely he will just give away 10 50m and end up with 30-40 points
Could have been so much better with Xerri’s 103 on the bench &
Lost McGovern and had no spare on the def bench so effectively only 21 but didn’t want to burn a trade for a potential 50-60 points
Good – Neale McCrae Moore Treloar steel Hayes butters Bradshaw Dunkley Hewitt & finally Oliver
Bad – Rowell – Horne – rachele – Daicos
Rage trade – Rowell & if not fit Hinge is going out to give me some cover
1992/ McCrae/ only 1 left to play
Don’t know where to start.
Grundy looks lost or he’s just weighed down by his pay packet.
Hall on his way to his best score for a while does his hammy.
Rowell nowhere near his potential
Stinkers by JHF, Short, Jackson and Chapman.
Oh and also had NOD and Hayes on bench with 100+ scores…..
Seriously lucky it’s Easter and comfort food isn’t far away!!
Nailed my rookies with NOD, Xerri, Hayes tonnes which has offset shockers from Short and Grundy. Very pleased to see Butters back in the mids and scoring well as those 2 50s since trading him in were annoying me
T/U – Take Neale via loophole VC
T/D – Go with Macrae for C
Looking forward to 200 questions in Trade Talk this week about Grundy > Preuss.
He’s taken the money and not delivered it’s about time some players are paid on performance base contracts and games.Grundy dosnt seem to give a f. k
I was going Witts to Preuss this week, but might change to Grundy !!
378/4/McRae or Gawn.
5/431 Mac/Steele
It must be easter or it would be Grundy Monday
895 / 7 / Macrae
Good start – long way to go. I’m going off the grid for the rest of the long weekend, so Happy Easter everyone and enjoy the footy!
1167/10/McRae
Just waiting to make sure Hinge is out, but will probably loop hole Paddy Mac’s 68. It’s unlikely DK will beat this or by any great margin.
665/7/ Touk
Ironically looped English just in case of a spud score and started Grundy without a care in the world.
McCartin also looped looking at about 2200 so far but a long way to go yet.
1015/9/Macrae
Happy with everything except Grundy who is in every team in my main league except for my matchup this week
I didn’t start with SDK, who is still only $158k after one price rise. Seems to have better JS than NOD but a lower ceiling. Who’s the better trade-in? Will be on my bench either way.
TU: NOD $167k
TD: SDK $158k
Not sure I’d be trading in either just to sit on bench.
SDK has better JS, and potential to stay long term with improved output- but only see him getting around 65 max average… not really going to generate cash
NOD I traded in to give DPP and because cash generation will be straight away. Might be lucky to stay in and average higher, but with Tucker, etc, waiting for one bad game I’m not sure about JS
18% trading him in this week- looking to gain about $50k this week
#Worth considering DPP that’s coming up, reckon guys like Pendlebury/Daicos will get def status as well
Cheers Kotaredrew! Although they’ll be on my bench, they’ll be funding a upgrade elsewhere.
I was surprised SDK only scored 62 last game, as he looked really good taking intercept marks. Leaning towards SDK due to JS.
Judging by a few articles/discussions going around, I think Daicos is very line-ball to get DPP.
Who to trade out for NOD?
TU – Gibcus
TD – Ward
1163/11/Macrae VC looped
868/8/Macrae
Let down by Grundy, could potentially impact all my league match ups this week as Grundy one of a few uniques vs oppos.
1031/8 Macrae(C)
Happy with the score so far, projected 2269. If everything goes well, should hit that projection McCartin & Xerri score still to come in.
Goodluck and Happy Easter all
Pretty happy with this weeks trades. Gresh and Sinclair in.
8 hundreds so far from my onfields so far, sadly Hayes on the bench.
1408/Macrae/13
Nice.
Just don’t ask about last week 🙂
I have Grundy, English, Preuss, Xerri and Hayes.
Didn’t loop Grundy and have Xerri and Hayes on the forward bench.
Do I trade Butters for a never ever playing cheap Ruck/Fwd
Gives me Hayes score, cash to upgrade (probably Rowell)
And let’s me loop between my Ruck/Fwds each week.
TU yes do it
TD No trade. Butters will come good
And 1223/11/Macrae.
On 1750 with butters, Ridley, brodie, NOD, martin to play
1642/16/Macrae
Projected 2183. Hewett, Butters, NOD, Brodie, Chapman and Martin to play.
1434/14/Macrae
Hewett, Durdin, Butters, Parish, Ridley, N. Martin, Brodie and SDK to go.
Looking like a 2150 – 2200 on my end.
1776/17/Macrae
Lack of comments indicates level of despair this week…..me included !!!
Looking around leagues it seems 2150 is gonna be a pretty reasonable score this week and 2250 will be a good score.
In my head to heads the highest projected score I’m seeing is 2250, and 3 2100’s.
1618/15/McRae
Proj: 2265
Trade in
TU – Docherty
TD – Stewart
Anybody know when the new DPPs come in? I need it to magically fix my team!
And turn a lot of spuds into champions- yes- I’m looking at you Whitfield, Rowell, Grundy…
After round 6 pretty sure
Nah, it’s before round 6 ie: tomorrow night
Awesome
Monday night when SC opens!
1814/ 17/ Steele
Hewett, Butters, Caldwell, Ryan, Brodie still to come.
Hoping 2300. Ranked 105 overall
1670/17/Macrae with Butters, SDK, Hewett, Sicily and looped NOD to go, and a century from Hayes sitting unused on the bleachers.
I’m already waiting for TRADE TALK discussion link to open up ………too many spuds, not enough performing players…..
Worse part about Easter long weekend is waiting to trade until Monday rather than the Sunday night rage trade.
I’m already rage trading in my heart.
1542 / 15 / Macrea
Caught in a few very close league match ups this week. Gunboat, Dane and Lisa as well as a few others.
Most of them involve Ryan (me) V Ridley (them)
I really need a win as I’m 0-2 in most of my leagues.
Ryan you need to perform, or I feel a rage trade coming on!
2175 / Macrae / Was 35K 🙁
Leading 5/10 leagues but will need Sicily to stink it up to hold on in a few.
Ryan was scaled down 2 points and I lost a league match up ( ninja’s league ) by a single point.
I’m hoping this score can at least see me hold rank.

2017/Macrae/19.
Projected 2291
Finished 2,323/22 Macrae(C)
Jackson, Short and JHF we’re the ones who underperformed, apart from that, pretty happy with score this week.
Im done 2258/Macca.
Not sure where that would place me this week. Lots of ups and downs
2200/22/Macrae
Will win 7/10 leagues. Eleven players @ 100+ and eight sub 80.
Short, Rowell, JHF, Chapman, Jackson, Witts and Blakey all sub par.
Expecting another move up the overall rankings.
2240/22/Macrae
Up and down week end, Short and Grundy underperforming prevented a much high score, but happy enough.
Only Danger left to watch tomorrow for the Tech team
2292/22/Macrae
Relatively happy with that. A few disappointments in Short, Grundy and Rowell but good performances from a few rookies made up for it. Could have got an extra 50-odd if I hadn’t swapped Dixon and Hayes. hopefully should be enough to keep me in the top 1000. Might think about downgrading Rowell to a rookie and bank the cash.

2163/22/Macrae
A lot of underperformers, particularly JHF, Rowell, Grundy and Short but was ok with those considering high ownership. Occasionally I forget just how good everyone here is. Congrats to all the 2200+ people.
Currently thinking Rowell, Grundy to Touk and Preuss but we’ll see how the week plays out
I have my eyes on Miller in two weeks, he’ll be even cheaper then. GC has the Pies next, Pendle might tag him. Bringing in Preuss this coming week.
Miller plays Brisbane next week.
Sometime they send Berry to the Oppo’s best mid but its rarely a hard taG.
Sorry my bad, looked too far ahead at the fixture.
Either way I’d wait another week. Miller had a BE of 188 this week, he’ll be cheaper when GC palys the Pies in rnd 7. Might or might not get tag by Pendle, just like Berry not a hard tag.

Thinking of trading Rowell.
T/U Keep
T/D trade for Lipinski

No opinion about Rowell but T/U for your score! 🙂
2076/Macrae/21

2268/ Bradshaw C
Danger to come
2171/22/Macrae
All done.
A big axe coming, only 3 trades used thus far, so I think 3 trades coming this week with the positional changes!
2023/21 McCrae C
Could have been so much better with Xerri’s 103 on the bench &
Lost McGovern and had no spare on the def bench so effectively only 21 but didn’t want to burn a trade for a potential 50-60 points
Good – Neale McCrae Moore Treloar steel Hayes butters Bradshaw Dunkley Hewitt & finally Oliver
Bad – Rowell – Horne – rachele – Daicos
Rage trade – Rowell & if not fit Hinge is going out to give me some cover
2075/22/touk
Not having Macrae hurt this week as did having Grundy/Short/Chapman on field while Hayes and O’driscoll were on the bench.
Premo roulette didn’t go so well this week.
Oh well time for my first upgrade this week. Seems like Chapman + Rowell for Pruess + premo
Seems like you need to do 3 trades.
Can use Daicos DPP for Chapman to become a mid/fwd/ruck – maybe Pruess if you don’t have him.
Turn Rowell into a Premo, and sideswap hall
Short will come good, JHF is insulated by ownership so if he does bad everyone has him
Grundy you can sideswap next week if he has another stinker
Yeh something has to be done. Thanks for the input. Hopefully can turn it around. Such a shame coz I was ranked 4300 before this weekend!
2123 / 22 / Macrae
Grrrrrrrundy 🙁
2177/22/Macrae, and with both Hayes and Xerri on bench. Hoping I hang on for the win.
And I blame Malthouse for bombers terrible start to the season !!
22/22 done for 2240 with Macrae C
Looking at my leagues, 2150-2200 seems to be par?
Nailed my rookies with NOD, Xerri, Hayes tonnes which has offset shockers from Short and Grundy. Very pleased to see Butters back in the mids and scoring well as those 2 50s since trading him in were annoying me
2085/21/Macrae
Just De Koning to go.
Nice Gunboat.
He needs to go 90 plus to get me in Guns Regulars #1
More likely he scores 9 than 90 lol.
He’s not that good defensively 1 on 1 and Stewart back will dry up a lot of the intercept and distribution economy.
You’ve got me. Wp.
2269/Neale.
2 more bench players running today but irrelevant to field scoring.
