  1. No relevant players in box hill (hawks) game?? I’ve had Ned Long in my team from the start hoping he’d get a call up! He played pretty well. Fingers crossed.

    1. True he did play well but he was doing the same earlier in the year with no reward. He may get a game but he isn’t really someone coaches will be looking to trade in as actual cover, more of a basement option/loop.

I brought him in for the same reason in my Tech Team as a loophole and possible chance of getting a game.

    2. Yeah, he had the 24 touches last week but Alza makes a good point: early in the year he was having 20 touch and 6-8 tackle games and still didn’t a look.

I started him as loop with the hope that he’d eventually play as well, FBS.

Goes without saying another great write up, Alza. Usually read these before they get published, so sometimes forget to comment. Superb and essential as always.

  2. Indeed. Wasn’t having a crack at the thread! I read it every week coz it’s so well put together. Just hoping Long might get a call up coz with no trades I need all the bench cover I can get! Lol. Thanks for all your work Alza!

    1. No worries ForBucksSake, I appreciate the feedback and I didn’t take it that way anyway. For your sake hopefully Long does get a game but also for next year hopefully he doesn’t score to well haha.
Last year I think it was Downie who was announced to debut round 1 so I picked him but he was an unused sub never to be seen again until Rd 23.

  3. Thanks for the great articles throughout the season Alza. I found them a must read. If I could just make one suggestion, your verdicts don’t need to repeat the stats achieved but rather appraise how they played and their prospects for elevation.
    Cheers, Greg.
