Rookie Review – Round 18

Written by Alza on July 18 2023

With just 6 weeks left of the season and just 2 weeks until SuperCoach finals we aren’t really looking to bring rookies in just hoping the ones we have can provide us bench cover for our time of need such as this week. Unfortunately we lost our favourite rookie Sheldrick this week but popular players Johnson and Maric provided decent cover this week both scoring over 65 just showing how important that cover is come the pointy end of the season.

The Bad: Ginbey injured his hamstring very early but still managed 3 touches, 1 mark, 1 tackle and 1 clearance in that time. Melican was also injured in this game with a 3-4 week hamstring strain which in SuperCoach terms puts the defensive cover in jeopardy. He had 5 touches and 4 one percenters in 61% TOG.
