SCTTL – Round 5 Review

Written by JimmyDee on April 17 2023

Round five completed and some big scores are starting to drift in.

Amir’s Ninjas pumped out an extraordinary 2379 points this week which was in the top 2% of SuperCoach for the week. No mean feat but I’m tipping the trade king used a few more this week to get there – it’s a trademark !!

Andrew’s Terangatangs also pushed past the 2300 barrier with a 2306 for second place this week. Another Andrew, CirqueDuSoreLegs, rounded out the podium with a nice 2292. They were followed by Maxismen on 2289 and Go Hawks Tech and Goopstars equal fifth with scores of 2288. Needless to say, these coaches pushed up the rankings this week.

Brad’s Yeeter@SCT moved up one position to the top of the ladder, and Paul’s MBuszz also moved up one spot to second while Brenton and Lucy slipped to third. The SG Tech Ninjas zoomed from outside the top ten to fourth, Cripps Walk dropped one spot to fifth, while Max and his Men also leapt from outside the top ten into sixth position after round five.

will the new DPP changes influence any trading this week or is the plan still in place to play the long game. Let us know your intentions in the comments. Thanks for reading.

  1. I stupidly forgot about the Thursday game and didn’t trade Doc. Glad I only slipped to 5th after some of the other scores!

  2. Another poor week and I’m 360 points behind so may as well get aggressive and use a boost. Brayshaw is going this week!

  3. Spot on as usual JimmyDee – have used max trades to date (4 boosts and 12 trades) and team is looking good!

Holding and fielding Rat was the difference this week but also trading Doch + Day out for Dawson (VC) and Stewart helped!

Just the one trade planned for this week (subject to injuries/selections) to cash in on Ginbey and let others catch up on number of trades used 🙂

  4. Had a crap week but didn’t slide too far, cash generation the main issue. Held Day and the rookies didn’t excellent unfortunately, swinging a roo or two back may help matters.

  5. Used two trades to swap out Doch to Stewart which proved rewarding. As a Crows man didn’t want to mozz Dawson by having him in both Tech and Classic.

Other one was an early swing to Wagner to fund the deal. Six clangers hurt a potentially good first up score for him so hopefully he loses clangers and gains cash as the growth from the rooks is not great.

Eight trades used and Brayshaw looking susceptible this week if I can afford it.

  6. 11 trades made. About 200 off the lead.
    Went Doc > Stewart
Brayshaw > Florent and of course Florent scores 50…..
