Not really. As long as you have DPP around that position I think you will be ok. E.g just say you have Knevitt at Flex and Hewett with DPP on your mid Bench, you can then change Knevitt from Flex to any mid or to Hewett first to Flex and then from Flex to any Fwd.
Also Lots of people going Flynn without any DPP which I think is a bit riskier.
Depends what you can do with the extra $$. That’s one of the positions people are chopping money out of to improve other lines..
E.g the thinking normally goes. Sanders would be nice but if I chop that down to Garcia for the $$$. But then what if you can chop Garcia down to SPP, And then at the end of the thought process you go why just not play Davidson and save $220k.

I feel it’s relatively safe to start the big guns with high priced rooks who have the rock solid JS. We can watch the Callaghans cerras Roberts shorts etc for a fortnight and boost into the ones we know look genuine. Rather than trade out of the ones who fail if we start to midprce heavy.. would love a TU/TD on the team of your choice and some discussion
Just blows me away that I have not seen one “expert” on YT or X go the GnR route which makes me think its not viable… can 5 elevated priced rookies not make the 150k is that asking too much? Will missing 1 or 2 midpriced players that pop off early hurt to much?
I like your GnR team better Hayden. You’ve still included the popular mid pricers in Macrae, Daniel and Clarry. The alternative is rolling the dice on Perryman, Roberts, Cerra and Callaghan being premos – depends on your appetite for risk

Levi Ashcroft supposedly the sub this week. Initially I am thinking to start him on the bench as there is a good chance he will come into their 22 over the weeks to come. Brisbane also play Westcoast & Richmond in the first month, we could see some spike scores.

On the contrary, it’s super helpful. Put him at R3 and Flynn at flex. If anything happens to Flynn you can then get a fwd onfield (or a mid if you have the right dpp setup)

Flex is DPP with it’s own line anyway. Not vital I wouldn’t have thought.
If you have Flynn and Boyd you can only sub them between Rucks and Flex. Could be very painful if Flynn goes down for 1 or 2 games early.
I’m anti-PODing Flynn btw.
Thats why having a ruck/fwd at r3 is important. Stops people getting stuck that way
