  1. Locked away doing J.Sweet & Rowe > CCJ & Reeves. 3rd trade is trickier to decide

    TU – RCD > T.Miller
    TD – Highmore > Whitfield

    1. I think this is the biggest and most different response ive seen on a thumbs up thumbs down, hope it gives you some clarity 🙂

  2. Is it worth trading Grundy to facilitate 2 upgrades and allowing myself 18 on field in round 14 vs 16 if I don’t trade Grundy. I also get an extra week of Poulter if I trade Grundy. Could also trade Zorko instead. However, by trading Grundy my forward line is complete and I’m pencilling myself out of danger.

    T/U trade Grundy

T/D tank round 14 a little more but grab Danger F6 in time

  3. J.Crisp ($536,000) or C.Mills ($573,200) for a defensive upgrade? Not worried about both being unavailable next round due to byes.

    1. Abs…I commented on Boak/Wines in the captain section…went with Wines as I reckon he has the higher ceiling. Also pulling on the v for me this week. Duncan was my only other consideration but I got put off by Danger inclusion.

      1. Wines has been my #1 choice off of the eye test, however the way CD score him some weeks leaves me beyond puzzled.

Think I’m gonna go with my gut and grab him!

        Cheers Wighty!

      2. ……but there is no Guthrie…..!!!!????

Also “O Fellow Wise Man”, Do you think Cunnington will get “tagged” by an opposition “fellow senior citizen” in the Tassie game???

  4. I’ll be trading out a R14 premo to assist with numbers:

T/U – Grundy to Jelly this round. Extra premo for R13. Aim to get Grundy back RD16
    T/D – Short to Merrett in RD14

      1. Yes but may also drop in price considerably that round… So if you’re offloading you can probably save $50k or so getting him back a week or two later.

        1. 160 BE – he is almost a good chance of getting close to that IF healthy and IF CD aren’t screwing him on his scoring again … either way, those items excluded, he wont lose too much money I would think …

IF not healthy and his neck giving him grief, then yes he could score lower …

    1. Short is not a top 6 defender and you won’t need to trade him back in. I will probably be trading him out in R14 for possibly Duncan after he drops a bit more in price.

      1. I’m tempted by this one as well David C.

But….If Houli goes down, he could go back to >100

If trading him gets you Whitfield, and an extra Premo R14, that could be a good bet.

I’m trading Zorko, so Short likely stays in my side.

Looking forward to Teams getting named. What could possibly go wrong ?

  5. This week has probably been the toughest week of trades for me all year.
Trades were locked in until the Guthrie news which has caused a lot of indecision.
I am not for sideways trading premiums and I certainly wouldn’t say my team is in a position to do so, BUT… I can see some logic in moving him to Boak this week.
Assuming they both continue averaging their current scores from here on out (119.8 for guthrie and 109.4 for boak) and assuming no missed games up until SC finals.
    Guthrie = 6*119.8 =719 points
    Boak = 7 * 109.4 = 766 points
I also gain around 80k from this trade which then enables me to turn Robertson and Rowe into Whitfield and Tomahawk
Basically what im asking is, Is it worth moving Guthrie?
TU- Yes, missing a week and less points with danger back in
TD- No, not worth the trade

  6. Is it silly to go early on jai Newcombe?
Downgrading Scott to him gets me my last mid premo
TU go for it he has decent JS
    TD nope too early

    1. Not only does he have good JS but his last 5 games in the VFL, his SC scores were:

      130, 121, 113, 105, 121

Excited to see him run around tomorrow night!

  7. Current team: 16 trades left, $384,300 ITB
DEF: Mills, Laird, Lloyd, Stewart, Short, Bianco (Kosi, L.Jones)
MID: Oliver, Macrae (BYE), ZMerrett (BYE), Walsh (BYE), Titch, Jordon, Poulter, Byrnes (RCD, Brockman, Downie)
    RUC: Grundy, Gawn (Flynn)
FWD: Ziebell, Martin, Impey, Rowe, Madden (BYE), Treacy (Weightman (BYE), Waterman (BYE)
    TU – Flynn > Reeves
RCD > Whitfield (Via DPP with Bianco)
Rowe > J.Kelly (via DDP with Poulter).
Will have 14 on the field next week
    TD – Flynn > Reeves
RCD > Whitfield (Via DPP with Bianco)
Rowe > J.Kelly (via DDP with Poulter).
    ??? > Newcombe
Will have 15 on the field next week before next week trades

    1. Brockman to Newcombe makes the most sense. 1 trade for 70K (+ future possible cash gen) + 40-50 bye points is a solid enough use of a freebie.

Presumably next week it will be Out Jordan, Poulter, Byrnes for 2 Primo’s + Rookie while your bench gets a reshuffle ( Madden to D8 via DPP) Bianco to M8/9

    1. Hi FT, does Robbie Tarrant return impact Hall and/or Ziebell ?

Tarrant took 104 kick-ins in 2020 being their leading player. Luke McDonald 103.

This was without Hall or Ziebell in the backline.

I have no knowledge of likely outcome, just putting it out there.

Is there as North supporter with an insight on possible scenario?

      5

      1
      1. I’d assume the 3 of them share kick ins now. Hall probably down from 5-6 a game to 3-4. Shouldn’t make a huge difference as Hall isn’t reliant on kick ins. Ziebell is irrelevant as everyone owns him.

      2. Thanks CT

I had considered MacDonald affecting them, Tarrant is now another to consider.

I’m leaning towards Hawkins, Jelly is also coming in. So the combined risk of Hall and Jelly could be too much.

Looking forward to our match up in GD’s Regulars league.

We certainly have some PODs 😉

  8. Go early on RCD too Newcombe?
It gets me one extra warm body from 18 to 19 and builds a warchest for Rd 14.

TU – yess do it take the points & money

TD – na just hold and watch
