They’re perfectly fine downgrade targets if you need to but they’re not must haves if you’re just trading for the sake of trading

Yeah all merrett options leave me pretty strong onfield GD.. just not sure whether I take the slow burn of weddle or a fast cash injection if Atkins holds for 2-3 weeks.. which are you taking this week?
Is it worth spending $650k for Dawson? I feel that eventually he’ll fall in price and currently it’s just a lot of money to fork out for one player.

I don’t see how these are so one sided, Dawson has been just as good in his new midfield role. Arguably a better chance for 150 and has great matchups coming up

Definitely need him there this week without Parish. They’re our two clearance kings
Thanks Chris, at this stage of the season to be viable I need him to be in this role long-term. 2m Peter coming back should help, and he seems to have pushed Setters out. Comes with risk, but if the role sticks plenty of reward too.
Lots of TU from Bombers fans, very tempted to bring in The Package.
Just be prepared for the occasional score of 50. He’s a great loop option if you have that available some weeks

Probably fine for D8 if you need a downgrade, but I’d make sure D7 has good JS, otherwise you could easily have no defensive bench cover.
Doing a rookie trade:
TU: Cowan for Gould – improves cash generation across the board, definite path to Laird next week, fulfils the SC prophecy of Will Gould at D8, but dicey rookie at F6 and Gould has almost no JS
TD: Pedlar for Atkins – improved on-field scoring, likely better cash generation but no path to Laird and he’s still Rory Atkins

Need to offload Grundy and, while cheap, I’m concerned the 2 premo rucks in the same squad conundrum exists for Gawn.

Grundy, Wilmot and F.Greene will be evicted with my last boost, and I’m currently deliberating between:

Clarry trade fits my bye structure a little better and am afraid I won’t be able to bring him in later without doing 3 – 4 trades. Will need to field Wilmot and don’t like bringing in a player who is not on the bubble.
Docherty trade means I can get Weddle and then Drury next week if named. I can also hold Ashcroft for the next week or 2./ through the byes if need be.

Is it worth doing Marshall -> Gawn

Been grappling with this one…bank $50k + DPP switch Gawn fwd in a couple of weeks and get Marshall back. Gawn plays Hawks this week (172, 95, 172), while Marshall has a tough run against Adelaide and GWS for at least the next two weeks. Apart from the trade, any other reasons I’m missing not to pull the trigger?
