Hawthorn : Lachlan Bramble ($102k MID) To debut. 23yo 182cm midfielder picked up in this year’s supplementary selection period
“On the other wing to Connor, Lachlan didn’t find as much of the ball but his polish and drive meant he would have just about led the way for us for score involvements. His poise on the ball going forward was very strong.” Sam Mitchell
Essendon : Sam Durham DEF/MID $102,400.
MEDIUM DEFENDER ###EMERGENCY
19 185cm 75kg
*Versatile youngster taken at pick No.9 in the 2021 NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft. The former Murray Bushranger earned his opportunity at Essendon after his hot start for Richmond’s VFL side in the 2021 season, impressing mainly as an outside midfielder with strong skills. * Essendon website.

no reeves for hawthorn – oof
Madden in is good though!
Ouch, no Reeves, Waterman or Rosas. Still Madden and maybe Brockman in? My First XI is not looking strong!
Might need to do the poll again on warm bodies…….LOL
So we have to wait for hawks in the final game to be sure getting Newcombe wont backfire like Reeves did.
Wighty,
Changed my team colours and put a target on my back for our practice match this week.
Couldn’t do the name change to Kouta43.
Should give an incentive for the Eddie league (Mooyenairs) next week too……LOL
I’ll be gentle. ……lol
I have 19 warm bodies if Brockman plays which I would find incredibly hard to believe (to quote the Chief from Get Smart).
SOS (Son of shaggi) will also have 19 warm bodies but is disappointed Waterman is missing (wonders what his injury is) but pleasantly surprised that Briggs is playing.
We are both disappointed (like a lot of other coaches I expect) that Reeves is not even named in the extended squad – maybe still injured.
My tip is that Ceglar this week will score less than 60 this week.
Nice Shaggi…..you have SOS…I have SOW
Waterman has a calf injury. No further details.
Was thinking of bringing in A Hall
Does L McDonald in affect his scoring
T/u yes
T/d no
Only 12 players this week before trades 🙁
Did mcdonald take kick ins last year?
Thank the SuperCoach gods for Bramble.
Durham is also named extended bench.
102K M/D
The Dons pick in the midseason draft. He might get a run the in the next few weeks. One to keep an eye on anyway.
Could Bramble be replacing Newcombe? Surely he cant get dropped after that game last week.
Different roles.
Thumbs up
Poulter – Edwards
Weightman – Bont
Thumbs down
Poulter – Edwards
Waterman – Lyons
Other options to get Dale in as well
Trading impey and heeney getting Bont and Dale in
If a miracle happens and brockman actually gets into final team I’ll have 18 on field
Traded Brockman out last week and Reeves in.
Great!
Reeves in 74% of top 5k teams,
Waterman in 63%.
about 50% of teams have both.
only 10% have none.
I also read in SC Stats that 1,000 coaches actually traded Grundy to Reeves last week
13 on the field.
Lordy.
Waterman injured anyone know how long?
Rosas out
Zorko suspended
No Reeves..
Well this rd im losing
At 13 on field rn, can probably trade my way to 16.
Leaves me with 5 trades for two spots.
F*ck it, going shopping for a FWD it looks like then lol.
Thinking I might just not trade, bury my head in the sand, and pretend this round isn’t happening, rather than upend my entire side for one week of points from speculative rookies.
its not the worst idea … many are in bad position and it’s not worth burning trades on players that wont offer some form of back up and only play 1 or 2 games …
Anyone know about scoring potential and job security of Bramble (HAW) and Durham (ESS)?
Tossing up between bringing Madden or Briggs as a DEF/FWD sing.
Madden obviously had a price rise already but I feel has greater security with Lester being out for a few weeks. Briggs cheaper, but dependent on Mummy’s back. I’ve still got a couple of positions to upgrade, so the extra cash might come in handy in a couple of weeks.
TU: Madden
TD: Briggs
If Madden goes at his current average of 64, and plays while Lester is out:
3 games = $268,000
4 games = $281,000
So, prob makes ~100k max. Could be handy to swap with Briggs if he also holds his spot though.
Bramble and Durham could be good as a cheap bench option maybe, that’s if your other bench players are getting game time, gets $$$ into the account
Hamish Hartlett will be the medical sub for Port Adelaide, confirmed by Ken Hinkley .

Bramble helps.
Poulter into Bramble
Heeney into Hall
Gets me to 15, 9 trades left for 3 upgrades. How sounds?
