Harry Sharp has been dropped so does that cause changes for coaches trades?
No. Bigger fish to fry and plenty of points to be won. Also has the DPP swing. However, if he is literally the only issue with your side heading into round 3, then I wouldn’t hesitate to trade him to another rookie, ONLY if you have missed out on the likes of jordon, Warner, Campbell ect..
Have to hold. There’s really no one else to trade to at the moment. Hopefully he gets another go at some stage.
Jordon in for Sharp
Swinging J Clark back to backline
No, he becomes my loophole. Handy with the DPP swing as Ollie noted.
I might change my mind if he becomes the medical sub?
Can’t loophole this round but I can agree in using him as a loophole in future rounds since there isn’t really anyone in the backline that is a must have that currently isn’t owned
How can he be used as a loop hole in early games?
No, he can not used this week as Natopotato88 stated above but handy for future rounds if he isn’t recalled.
My reference to sub was it would stifle any growth as a cash cow.
If the lockdown in Brisbane continues the Lions will have to rely on the players they have in Melbourne now for round 4. It could be a good chance for Sharp to regain his place in the team.
Thanks CT, I’m just concerned atm coz they are in the majority of early games.
BTW at what time tomorrow (before 12.00) do you think someone will announce that Neale is not playing. LOL
Agreed. Just checked the fixture – Brisbane with very few Sunday games, rarely playing after Adelaide, North Melbourne. Sharp not useful as a loop.
Nope. At 117k it shouldnt affect anyone
Hey CT thanks for team updates and injuries .
Contemplated keeping Sharp as my loop for this week but playing first round of week means he cannot be utilised as loop.
It would be handy to know if Bergman will be named this week but have to wait till Friday .
You are welcome.
With Connor Rozee and Todd Marshall expected to play Bergman could be on shaky ground. Nothing definite known at this stage. If I hear anything tomorrow before teams drop I will post as usual in the coaches box.
Is it worth sacking Sharp or Ely Smith for Sam Berry?
T/U sack Sharp
T/D sack Smith
Comment: hold
Want Ridley in, but would be at the expense of Cripps.
Should I ditch him, or hold the trade and hope he improves?
He’s underperforming but I’m sure he’ll likely improve.
Problem is I see Ridley seeing plenty of the ball and of course taking all the kicking ins we’ll concede, thus going up in value…
TU: Trade Cripps to Ridley
TD: Save the trade and hold Cripps
The rewards this year based on rule changes seem to have benefitted key forwards and kick in backs.
Obviously it is only round 2 and weekly reinterpretation of the rules is a thing.
Choose appropriately.
I’m in the exact same boat. At this stage I’m making the trade
Worth trading Sharp to Koschitzke?
#Just be aware.
There is talk that Mitch Lewis is likely to replace Koschitzke for Hawthorn Easter Monday game BUT we wont know until Sunday?
Sorry that I can not be more specific.
Handy to know thanks mate! Looking more down a Lachie Young path I think if I move Sharp on
I’m assuming we won’t know until 625, just after the Melbourne game starts? I want to use the loophole with kos to take Grundys VC score… Problem is Gawns game starts at 610 Sunday night
TU: Sharp to Impey (leves $5k)
TD: Cripps to Ridley (leaves $70k)
Need to get Jordan in but not sure who to trade. Have all of the other rookies.
TU : Scott
TD : Fullerton
Last rookie correction and help needed please:
T/U : S Berry (Adel)
T/D: L Young (Kangas)
Cheers
Sharp out, Briggs on my bench not getting a game, now Kochitske in doubt so I might cop a donut.
Don’t have the dpp advantage to move sharp and don’t have Lachie Young.
TU: Kosi to Young
TD: Briggs to Young
Comment, sharp to young.
Hmm Sharp out might change things.
Who to dump for Jordon?
TU: Bruhn
TD: Sharp
Have only used one trade so far. Have all the top rookies. Thinking I will be trading out Rowell & T Phillips this week, decision on who to trade in comes down to :
TU: Ridley & Brayshaw (Freo)
TD: Ridley & Butters
TU – Walsh
TD – Brayshaw
T/U – Impey
T/D – Tex
If Sharp is named as sub and doesn’t score, does his price go up?
-2 is his break even.
I think it counts as a DNP rather than a zero, so his price wouldn’t change
Morning, Wayne.
No, the medical sub has to actually be subbed IN to count as having played. Guessing Coleman will the Lions sub anyway.
Good Morning and thanks guys.
I thought that was the case, so i’d be hoping he doesn’t get that roll and then plays last quarter and scores zero.
…..and doesn’t give away frees! OMG
I was going to get rid of cox for berry using dpp, i have both harrison jones and cox unfortunately. But now i’m considering reversing that trade and getting rid of sharp and keeping both cox and jones because of their good js. Thoughts?
forgot to mention do this for above
TU yes go for it
TD get rid of cox instead
Is anyone else getting nervous now about their benches?
Dyson, Bruhn, Scott, Brockman, Koschie etc……
I don’t have Dyson or Bruhn but have the other three you listed – I’m not nervous yet but I probably will be at one point in the next few weeks.
No.
But I started with 30 players. I’m still looking for one to actively turn himself into a donut.
Missed out on Jordan, Berry, Warner, so will prioritise trading them in. Obviously, i only can trade two of them. Who and why? Thanks!
TU Jordan and Berry
TD Jordan and Warner
Comment-Warner and Berry
Jordon and Warner with rock solid JS and already have an accumulating dimension to their game. Berry’s also good, but just tackles like a mad man and yet to show he can go out and sustainably win the ball himself.
Pretty much Jordon and Warner will score more, grab them.
Berry is reminding me of Jack Steele on debut at GWS…
TU: Diath
TD: Lachie Young
Comment: Hayden Young
Captain Neale!! Vice
Hey, I have a question. I vc’ed Grundy and captaining Treacy. Say Treacy is Medical sub and he plays does that mean his score will be counted as captain. And what happens if he doesn’t play but is medical sub does he score count. Cheers in advance.
His score only counts when or if he comes onto the ground.
If he is named Medical sub and doesn’t play. He will not score and your vice will count as double. If he scores even 1 point as medical sub your screwed.
I can’t really see him as a medical sub. They usually don’t pick “Talls” as medical subs.
Treacy not playing according to Justin Longmuir
Knew I put Dom Tyson in my team for a reason… Grundy VC loop confirmed! Was worried he might become the injury sub…
No Highmore, no Bergman do these coaches look at my team before deciding who is in and out??!?!?
What the Friken Heck!! How do you ommit Highmore after a solid game and 77 points. Ah well loophole and grundy VC’d. Thanks saints.
Mitch Lewis and Tim O’Brien did not play VFL today so it is premature to speculate that Kosi is “named”?
There are still three options for Kosi – (1) named to play, (2)named to be emergency thus a candicate for medical sub and finally (3)dropped from team.
The only thing we know for certain is he was not named to play VFL today , so the rest is pure speculation until teams are named at 6.25 today.
Mitch Lewis has been spoken as a replacement for Koschitzke after his very good game in the VFL last week. So we will wait and see.
For those desperately hoping that he is named I wish you well.
