          1. Naish or Collier-Dawkins would be the likely contenders.

If you meant W.Martyn or R.Mansell they are named to play so won’t be the sub as the medical sub is chosen from the emergencies.
            I hope that helps 911.

  3. Hello, Am I able to make a trade after the lockout if it is for players that still are playing later such as a Hawthorn vs Fremantle game on Sunday can I make a trade on Saturday to remove one of those players. Say Kosi to Chapman.

    11

    1. It’s a rolling lockout, so you can trade someone up until the start of their team’s game.

    2. Unless it’s changed you can’t reverse the trade though, so make sure you’re certain before hitting the button.

  13. Any chance Toby Greene gets some mid time with all the GWS carnage? He’s scoring well as a forward in a team that is struggling and could well be their captain for the bulk of this year. Just seems like the stars are aligning for him to be top 6 this year…

  15. Hey guys love this site
facing a trade dilemma, that revolves around how confident we are that Highmore will get picked this week as considering making 2 trades instead of 1 but need him to play as D6. This may seem crazy but.
    T/U Daniel>Jiath & Bergman>Impey (otherwise Rowe and Waterman will play as F5 & F6)
T/D Hold Daniel & Kos> Chapman (to play as D6 if Highmore not selected)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Highmore played in St. Kildas B side at training. Not looking like he will play this weekend but we will know for sure at team release tonight

    2. Crazy to drop Daniel. He is going OK, will end up top 6 Def at end of year.

Wait for teams list tonight and then make a call on trading Kosi if you want to avoid the donut … OR, make a call on whether you want to absorb the donut this early if the player you bring in may only earn 30-40 points anyway and again not have great JS.

Chapman’s JS must also be considered shaky with the players to return for Freo … you could burn a trade for not much net gain …

OR show us the rest of your side and possibly look for another solution if you want to bring in DEF coverage via any duals you have?

  16. Thoughts pls ….I just can’t decide who will AVG more longer term and make more cash….Points are more important to me…

    Young (Fre)-> C. Jiath (TU) / I. Cumming (TD)

    1
    1. Cumming will safely do 80s just on kick ins, whereas Jiath’s more dynamic and potentially volatile in his scoring in that he can find heaps of it and go 120~ or be a little quiet for 70.

Up to you honestly, CC. I’d go Cumming just because he’s got that reliable scoring stream from kick ins.

      1. Thanks GD.
I have had similar thoughts but just wanted a few opinions.
Can you see job security issues with either?

      1. donut time for most if already made a trade … if you haven’t traded anyone yet, its a good chance to get ahead of everyone and trade in two rucks, if you can cover the other positions …

        1. I changed plans on trading Kosi out, shifted Fullarton into R3. Meant I didn’t have to jump on Treacy on L’s.

Injuries probably mean I have cash for Grundy next week anyway.

  17. I want Jiath as H Young’s replacement (better JS than Chapman) but I also want Impey, but can’t get afford them both.

TU: Trade in Jiath – 1 trade only (and don’t worry about possible cash generation of Chapman)
TD: Trade in Chapman for Young, and wait till Sunday to decide on Brockman to Impey as a possible 2nd trade this week.

  21. Donuts everywhere for Tech League teams – Lachie Young omitted for North! On top of Witts injured, Flynn rested and the other def players omitted as well! Ouch!

    1. For whatever it’s worth he’s listed as “managed” in the team lineups on the AFL website. Are you trying to loop Macrae as VC over captaining Gawn?

        1. What’d ruin your weekend more? Putting the C on Gawn and he scores 90, or putting it on Kosi and he comes on as injury sub.
