Hiiiigggghhhhhmmmmooorrrrreeeeee!!!!
Highmore, you beautiful bastard!
I was staring down a D6 donut this week, could not have returned at a better time!
*Italian chef’s kiss
I have to reverse my trades, to save a doughnut I chopped Highmore.
I got sick of him not playing and having doughnuts.
Highmore saves a donut down back! You little ripper
Who to chop for poulter;
Tu; bergmann (BE 7)
Td; Rowe (BE 23)
Comment: BROCKMAN
I’m curious to see what people think mainly for Rowe after last week’s 80 odd. Im already bringing in RCD for berry so could bring I Poulter as well, but also want to save trades!
I’m most likely sacking Rowe this week – hear me out:
Fielded his 81 last week which was great, but his next three matches are against Eagles in Perth (A), top of the table Demons (H) and Tigers at the G (A). He struggles interstate, has a really low floor and I don’t see the Crows kicking many in those three match ups.
Could easily spit out a few 20s and kill his cash gen.
If I could push him to F7 I’d hold, but looking upgrading him to a FWD premo this week.
That’s a great point GD. Think you’ve sold me! Welcome to the team Poulter!
Lol, let’s go!
Gone for me also 20 is around the corner, getting hi mot poulter allows me to upgrade Warner to Zorko
Spot on mate was thinking the same after posting my earlier comment. Rowe is out!
Hello Highmore
Tom Highmore?? Tom Highmore?? Hmmm….name rings a bell.
Lovely. Highmore now provides a loop option down back with Murphy out.
You bloody ripper Highmore. The bright light on a rainy Thursday evening. Saved me and many others a doughnut.
There’s this weird green tick next to Highmores name on my screen? Anyone know what that’s about??? Hahaha
Will be interesting to see how Frawley goes. If he does not play well Highmore might be in for more games.
Hopefully Highmore is also in Frawley’s SC team.
Weren’t all of the teams meant to be named tonight?
Starts next week mate
Briggs is listed as DEF/FWD, doesn’t have Ruck DPP which is what the OP suggests.
Wonder if there is still room for Flynn
My mistake. He is definitely D/F. Thanks for heads up. Fixed now.
There is a good case that Briggs and Flynn share ruck or Briggs can play back or Forward. He is playing very well in the VFL and finally gets his chance.
I am more hopeful than not that Flynn plays.
Bringing in Briggs for Chapman this week. Just needed any defensive rookie who looked like maybe getting some games, so happy to go early here given there’s nothing else on offer.
Can swing him to R3 when Flynn gets culled, and then swing him back to D8 later on when Highmore or Kosi make way, effectively downgrading one of those defensive rookies for a ruck/fwd loophole to pair with Marshall.
Even if it takes him 10 weeks to string enough games together to make some money, I think I can hide him.
Briggs doesn’t have ruck status, and bringing in someone before they’ve played a game with the byes coming up is a little risky.
Could have sworn he was Def/Ruc…
Damn.
Might still take him, but gonna have to give it some thought.
Any better defensive rookie options?
Luke Parks if you can afford him, probably has the best job security. Lachie Jones might come back next week…maybe. Other than that, I admit the cupboard is pretty bare.
Can you upgrade at the back instead?
Could, but I’ve already got 5 premos down back, plus Kosi and Highmore.
4 rookies plus Daniher on field up forward.
A defensive upgrade potentially leaves some decent rookie scores on the bench when I could be shoring up the forwards.
Have had a look, and I can probably get away with holding Chapman though. Loophole Highmore into Kosi.
Could then look at culling Berry for Owies (via DPP) or Byrnes. Haven’t seen much of the Saints recently, anyone got any feedback on Byrnes’ security?
He’s coming in for another big defender (and part time ruck) in Lachlan Keeffe.
Keeffe is 204 cm and is definitely a ruck alternative that is being used elsewhere. Briggs is actually smaller.
Being added to the team doesn’t change structure at all, although if anything it should be better for Flynn’s chances if they feel there is a second ruck if he should falter.
It’s the structure I expected GWS to play with until they gave Mummy his extended run.
All my dead rookies are coming back to life. Highmore, Sharp, now all we need is for Flynn to get another guernsey and I’ll have a full set of Lazarus’s!
Wait, Sharp?
Sorry, my bad. I saw the VFL sides and thought they were the AFL. Sharps named in the VFL.
I just heard Sharp copped an injury last week.
Sorry Sharp has copped a bad injury in the VFL tonight. Just waiting on confirmation of the extent of the injury.
Will update shortly.
Yeah, ty. Let us know, TDA.
Early reports are Sharp has a dislocated ankle , but not confirmed as scans will confirm the extent of the ankle injury.
Thank you TDA.
Sad news but guarantees me a loophole opportunity for a bit. Still serving his purpose.
Fingers crossed he comes good soon.
Might have to get the duster out fior highmore. He has been sitting on the bench untouched for so long.
Is it worth bringing Highmore in this week
Highmore’s breakeven is – 67 and an average of 68.5 (scores of 60 and 77) could rise $60k. Maybe $140k over the next three games if he maintains his average.
All positive BUT to say that his job security is shaky is an understatement after waiting 5 games for his third outing!
He performed well at his first two games and then dropped so I don’t know what he has to do to retain his position. I am a long time owner whose patience had expired this week and I was trading him before his unexpected recall. Would I pick him up this week if I didn’t own him? Big big question…. maybe not but I am bias because every week I have been waiting for him to play and copping doughnuts.
It comes down do you feel lucky? Should be an ideal trade in, but very risky.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Would seem hella risky. Lots of injuries at St Kilda though.
Highmore to last one round if St K lose as expected.
Looks like Clark has to finally go. Keep holding out but its obvious now he’s not considered best 22.
TU:
Clark-Mills
Warner-Poulter
TD:
Clark-Poulter (Sharp)
Berry-Impey
With TU, could also go Lloyd instead of Mills – same price
TU – Mills
TD – Lloyd
Should I trade Kozi out for:
TU: Highmore (yes, I’ve enjoyed watching social media blow up for the past 6 weeks)
TD: RCD
Hayes not debuting.
Tex being rested for the Eagles clash!!
Anyone know if Waterman will get a run this weekend? If not I can use him as loop if Robertson has a good game. If he doesn’t then I roll the dice with Rowe but if hinges on Waterman
Ben Rutten on replacing Stringer: “We’ve got Kyle Langford who we’ve been playing on the wing, he’s got the flexibility to play forward or inside. We really liked Matt Guelfi’s game as a sub. He played a bit more forward and wing.”
That presser didnt sound promising for Alec Waterman.
Thanks CT. Only one more round of this night before team reveal rubbish. Appreciate the quick reply. Good luck on weekend
Yes, I cannot wait until full team announcements on Thursday again.
Good luck to you too, Glen.
Been cleared of injury and will play either VFL or AFL this week, they’ve said.
Just a matter of whether they let Guelfi keep Stringer’s spot. If not, Waterman comes in.
Cheers GD. Might just field Robertson just in case coz I doubt Rowe will score over 40. But who knows this year lol

Bulldogs line up
FOLL: Z.Cordy, C.Daniel, T.Duryea
I/C: A.Treloar, M.Bontempelli, J.Macrae, T.Liberatore
Surely taking the p#ss!
The Bulldogs line up is just a joke. Why bother? Obviously those fringe bench players will be looking for new clubs next year!
Did the same last week. Should be fined.
How did martin frederick end up listed as sub last week and now omitted this week? Im confused he played 2 really good games not just from a supercoach perspective. (Although im biased because im getting his donut)!
Could be the sub again this week – it’ll be him or Sam Mayes
Gulden out injured.
With what and for how long?
Hotspot in his foot I think – won’t play again before the bye
Errol Gulden – “Being treated for a stress reaction in his foot and the club will manage this conservatively. He’ll be monitored over the next few weeks but is not expected to play before the R14 bye.”
Should I hold on to Houston or trade out? I have highmore on bench as cover. I will be trading Gulden for Poulter
TU: Trade
TD: Hold save a trade/ upgrade a dead rookie & use highmore
Rumblings that Petracca won’t be playing on Sunday.
Will Koschitzke get more than Highmore?
Tu Yes, Capt Gulden
Td. No, Capt Sharp
I am pondering whether to trade Koschitzke. If it wasn’t for the fact that Hawthorn are playing North I would. He was very good against them in a practice match kicking a bagful and he could do it again?
I checked the weather and the forecast is clear after a overnight low of -1 and a top of 13.
Not much help to you Chameleon. He has gone over 47 points four times and under 3 times, with a top of 103 and a low of 24. If he has his kicking boots on he should beat 47. Good luck.
I will sleep on my choice but I have nearly talked myself into keeping him for this round. Arrg too tired.
I’m concerned he was the only “key” forward in Tassie last time.
Did Lewis play?
‘Night all…….
I see where you’re coming from, because Lewis did not play in the pre-season (O’Brien and Nash played forward), but….
Last week De Goey kicked 6 against the Roos
The week before, Fritsch kicked 6 against the Roos
The week before that, Taberner and Schultz each kicked four against the Roos
There’s plenty of goals to be had in this game. If I’m wrong and Kosi rolls out a 40, then he’ll lose a little cash and can be turfed next week
Ok…..but what would you turf him too?
He could be the only emergency for emergencies…..
I kept Koschitzke and hoping for a bagful to kick start his increase in price.
Chameleon, I was trading him for Poulter and moving Laird back to defence from mids.
Good luck.
