  1. SPP > Lashcroft
    Tsatas > Lindsay
Need to pull the trigger on above this week as will probably need to get Baz in next week. Leaves me room for 1/2 corrections
    TU Yes do it
TD Don’t do it this week (Ashcroft yes Lindsay next week for a boost maybe)

  2. Hi All, good luck with the round.
Like many I am struggling down back.
I can just manage; Tsatas, Garcia and Travaglia to SDK, Hall and Lindsay.
This moves Paton forward (if he keeps his spot) and then one rookie on field in defence.

    TU. Yes do it.
TD. Just Travalglia to Lindsay and have another look.

    Cheers

  4. Peatling > Lashcroft
    Blight > SDK

Worried about the blight injury. He looked decent until the injury, but worried I might miss an opportunity to upgrade to a more versatile SDK. Peatling looks rubbish, if I don’t drop him this week, I most likely will the next.

    TU Yes
TD Wait another week to see if Blight can produce a good score with full gametime

  5. Sanders, FOS -> Smith, Ash is done.

Thank the heavens I had 50k lying around – knew it’d come in handy for corrections.

Looking at a boost and wholesale changes next round pending, among other things, Perryman, Peatling and Gawn BE.

  6. I do love trading…

    Out – Cleary , Garcia , SPP
In – SDK , Bice , Hall (can’t afford Lindsay)

Next week targetting Lindsay via Tsatas and I don’t have Lashcroft (might fade him), but may need to drop Perryman + others IF better opportunities present

    OR

Would it be better to just do 2 this week (get Bice or Trainor and Lindsay in for Clearly and Garcia/SPP) then SDK next week?

TU – boost ,do 3 this week and next
TD – save the boosts, do 2 and 2

    • Bice doesn’t really need to come in yet. He’s played one game and is then on bye next week so it’s two weeks before he’s on the bubble

    • Cleary is Clayton Oliver, correct? If so, why are you trading him out? He posted a 93 against a pretty solid midfield and is priced at a mid-80’s average. If it’s the only way for you to get cash to fund the rest of the trades, fair enough, but I’d be cautious about making a trade based on such a small sample size.

  7. Out – Perryman, SPP , Garcia
    In – SDK , Lindsay , Silvagni

    Next week:
    Out – Tsatas , Cleary , ???
    In – Lashcroft , Bice , ???

    • Silvagni isn’t getting 100 every week. Hold that boost and get another look at Garcia maybe or downgrade him to an actual rookie to give yourself some cash for moves next week. Bice won’t go up in price until round 4 so isn’t really a priority just yet either

    • Hey Simon , wouldn’t trade in either one yet. Like what did you expect from Milera? He’s been injured over the last couple of years and with more games under his belt he can only get better. Trading him now would be a waste of a trade and in excess of $100,000 .

  8. I am likely going to hold this week as I want to see if the rookies I didn’t grab can replicate their round 1 scores (there’s about 5-6 of them that I could bring in but if past years are any indication, about half will have terrible scores in their next game). I also want to give my two weakest premos (Neale and JHF) a chance to redeem themselves. I may miss out on a couple of mid-pricers that I want to fit in (Freijah and SDK), but you can’t have them all.

  9. Corey Wagner looks to be only rookie on the bubble and has be of -37. Could only trade Lynch for him who is my only c loop this week…..Lynch not on bubble for another two weeks, and I have other rookies to correct next week.

    T/U Do the Wagner trade……JS ??
T/D Wait and see who else is on bubble next week.

  10. If you had to cut one of FOS or Tsatsas which one would you cut. One must be done for me to achieve what I want next week without using a boost.
This is life or death right here. Lol

    TU – FOS
    TD – Tsatus

      • How long do we think Corey holds his spot?
They have a bye next week and Adams, Cunningham, McDonald, Melican and Mills are listed as 2-3 wks away with Francis a test for this week.

        • Most of those guys aren’t competing in the same role – Wicks and Cunningham are likely both vying for one spot. McDonald and Melican are talls and with Paton Bice and Hamling in at the momentn, and McCartin forward, there’s obvious shuffles when other talls return.

Mills and Adams are midfielders, true, but not pacey and not outside types. Corey may more currently be competing against the rest of the mid/forward/wing/halfback type runners, where he is definitely ahead of Hanily, and may even be backed on form for the moment over a struggling Florent and kinda indifferent Campbell just at the moment.

McInerney and Gulden are the most direct threats, McInerney is out for the next 3 games and Gulden is indefinite. Hopefully enough to make us some money (I started the year with Warner)

  11. Def – Sheezel, Holmes, Short, Roberts, Perryman, Trainor (Reid, Leake)
Mid – Neale, Rozee, Oliver, W.Ashcroft, FOS, NOD, Tsatas, Knevitt (E.Hewett, Hastie, L.Camporeale)
    Ruc – Xerri, TDK (Boyd)
Fwd – JHF, Rankine, Macrae, Sanders, Daniel, H.Garcia (Kako, Davidson)
    $40,500 ITB

Rectifying my mistake from last week and swapping Sanders for Bailey Smith and Hugo for LAshcroft. Gives me $50k for next week’s moves.

  12. Needing to bring 2 rookies in this week with my current plans. Who should I be bringing in. Warner is on the bubble but I also feel like we are going to want the likes of Hall, Lindsay, Henderson, Hewett etc (already bringing ashcroft in) so getting Warner in means missing a few of these guys as I can only bring 2 in next week.

    TU: Warner
    TD: Hall

  13. So I have a structural dilemma. 6 deep in midfield and weaker Fwd/Def lines. The only way to fix this is to remove a Mid premo and bring in Baz + SDK or Freijah. If I were to do this, would you remove:

    TU: Dawson
    TD: Serong

  14. Restructuring my lines. Hesistant to go early on W.Ashcroft but too many mid pricers for my liking. Have two options:

    T/U
Trading out – Perryman, W.Ashcroft and Tsatas
Trading in – Rozee, Freijah and Lindsay.

    T/D
Trading out – Perryman and Tsatas
Trading in – Freijah and L. Ashcroft

  15. Is SDK going to hold down the ruck role at the cats??? I know Scott said something in pre season that they would look at it on a week to week basis. My concern is the upcoming fixtures and whether they will look to bring Stanley in.

However, they seem to be using Blicavs & Neale to support him as it is around the ground, SDK has been sitting more so in the centre and letting the others do their thing at either end of the ground.

People can say wait a week and see, however the fixture this week is a nice one. My main concern isn’t his scoring potential, more so if he will nail down the role.

    Any cats fans on here?

    Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

Tu: SDK is the real deal, too cheap to turn down
Td: Avoid for now, some tough ruck match ups approaching in the coming weeks

  16. L Jackson to B Smith & SPP to J Clark via Paton DPP which gives me that 5th defender

I can keep Jacko and just upgrade SPP directly to B Smith who would become F4 as I have $280k. I made some pre rolling lockout changes last week after Smith played to get $$ to upgrade a rookie directly to Smith but thickening up my backline now seem the better move. I do not really want Roberts or Short along with Perryman and SDK, Perryman’s 62 is better than any rookie I and most have and he will play better games

With the above my side is now

Sheezel, J Clark, Holmes, SDK, Perryman, Reid (Trainor, Leake)
Brayshaw, Rozee, Day, Oliver, Callaghan, Lalor, Tsatsas, L Ashcroft (Hewett, Hall, Camporeale)
    Xerri, De Konning (Sims)
JHF, Macrae, B Smith, Daniel, Kako, Davidson (Paton, Stone)
    Flynn

    T/Up – Do it

    T/Down – Nup

    Thanks guys

    • I wouldn’t, especially after one round. Dunkley usually has a couple of ‘spike’ scores each season (140+) and this equals his second-highest score in his career. In other words, he’s already had one of his best (if not his best) score for this season and you’re chasing points.

  18. Pretty set on trading Powell-Pepper to Warner or Lindsay which allows Sanders to Bailey Smith.

Is it worth boosting to get Ashcroft in? Would likely be trading Tsatas or FOS.

T/u – Yes, Ashcroft is a must have boost away
T/d – Just do the above trades, wait for Ashcroft

  19. I’m missing a couple of the cheap rookies who fired in round one but don’t wanna get too worked up before they start making money. Still, considering trading out Lynch for Hall/Lindsay to free up some cash, get some profit a bit earlier and give me the option of potentially three trades next week if needed without being too in the hole.

    TU: solid idea
TD: no trades and wait til next week

  21. I see alot of SuperCoach’s trading in SDK. I think he’s a trap. Personally if you need to trade and haven’t got Freigah he’d be my first choice. SDK had it easy last week against Reidy and going fwd it will be alot tougher against the more established rucks. Just my take on it. Good luck.

    TU: Hold
    TD: Trade

Personally I don’t have Max Hall or Corey Warner. Also don’t have Bailey Smith (which feels like a different issue that I think I’ll give another week).

Waste a boost for the following.
    Pez – Holmes
    Day – x Lindsay
    Spp – Smith
    Tu: yes
    Td: no
I can pocket money if I went sdk but stupid me had Holmes before I got sucked into the pez Roberts backline.

  24. Just holding fire and doing PPE to Lindsay via DPP.
Wanna make sure L.Ashcroft is definitely not under sub clouds, and want to take another free look at Bazlenka, he might cop a tag according to Ross Lyon.
Next week will definitely try and get in the GOAT Dunkley, probably via Day if he scores poorly tonight.
    Best of luck to everyone!

    TD: Hastie

  26. I forgot that with round zero, some price changes are coming this round. I’m fading Corey Warner because of concerns about his JS, so that leaves only Ned Long as a potential in this week. In order to do so, I would have to trade out one of FOS or Tsatas.

Is it worth trading out FOS or Tsatas for Ned Long? (TU = Yes, TD = No).

    • Ask yourself, how many trades do you think you’ll need to make next week? I can see myself and majority of the community needing 2-3 at the bare minimum.

I think Ashcroft is a must so don’t see a reason not to make this trade this week personally.

  27. If I’ve used a trade this round, and neither player have yet played, and I want to reverse it – can I?
I see that I can click on UNDO CHANGES but that seems to give me the option of selecting a different player, not to reverse the trade? Am I meant to trade back the player I traded out, and then that doesn’t count as a trade? I don’t want to try that in case I then end up on 38 trades instead of back to 40!

    • Hi Barb,

You can’t “reverse” trades once the round has begun. However, you can trade back in the player you just traded out. This will effectively give you the trade back and you’ll be back on 40 trades.

Good luck for the round ahead.

  28. Just putting it out there, Lawson Humphries from Geelong is a serious player. Is exactly the same price as Perryman. He averaged 112 for Geelong in the finals last year and is just silk. His SC to DT ratio is elite due to his skills on either foot. Scored the 97 against Freo last weekend and was on 90ish at 3qtr time, the ball didn’t go into the Geelong backline in the last. In 1% of teams and is a big watch IMO.
