If your on field is set and you’re just looking for a bench rookie could be fine. Job security might be an issue for chandler but should make money quickly if he gets games and lower price = more money.

Really wouldn’t be bringing Rampe in. I can’t tell which A Brayshaw you have but I don’t know that either are completely failed picks just yet. Potentially just do Dale and Chesser to LDU and Setterfield? Although I don’t know if you’ll have enough DPPs for that.
Depends on how many premiums you have.
But generally splitting a premium is a bad idea.
Would add that extra $$$ on top of Rampe to get another premium defender.
if you think Setterfield is a must have then at least go Dale > Bowes, Rookie > Setterfield and decide what you want to do with Brayshaw separately

Thinking out loud here.
1. I’m cooling my jets on daicos. Not sure I’m all that keen on Ridley for him with possibly a couple of tags coming in the next month.. and can’t move on anyone else to get daicos in. but that % owned is scary and could absolutely kill me if he keeps banging out 130+ every week. I will probably trade for him still.
2. Darcy he has a ruckless west coast and surely fremantle can not play him forward again he was a train wreck down there he couldn’t even take simple marks. Just play him in the ruck atleast Jackson is competitive down forward. I’m still open to trading for DCam as I believe he is a top 3-4 ruck and if not he will be F6/7 and ruck cover too and I bank 100k from this. This looks a smart move but could easily sit tight on Darcy. Long moire has to play him full time ruck doesn’t he?!
3. I think I’ll be bringing in chandler for chesser. I have nailed setterfield and ziebell by starting both for the year so don’t have to chase them which is handy.. still got Callaghan which isn’t ideal but he’ll be a slow burn I think, not sure it’s worth going up to worpel is it?

He played in the vfl on the weekend. Had 37 disposals. He must be close to getting a game
He just scored 120 in the vfl. I’m also curious when he will come back but I’m not sure if Clarkson has any plans on changing the team after going 2-0. I’m tossing up ziebell because of it
Hall coming back in the side could possibly affect Sheezels scoring. I think Zieball and Hall will probably play in the backline . Sheezel may spend more time playing forward. At the moment Sheezel is playing 80% in the defensive half. That may change when Hall comes back. I’ve had Zieball since round 1 and brought Sheezel in last week.
Any love for Jack Buckley? Scoring not a problem, JS may be the only issue

Personally, I’m holding Doch over Daicos and would probably try and look at a way to bring in Chandler if you could but I know it helps out with both points and cash.

I’ve already boosted last week due to injury to Stewart and Jones’ 5. The first puts Mackenzie to M9 but forces Bruce on field in the forward and I miss out on Chandler/Cameron. The second option allows me to have a very strong forward line and mids are still strong with Ashcroft and Mackenzie 7 & 8. 3rd option my midfield is stacked but I have extra on field rookies in def and forward.
I want to bring in Bowes because he looked great last week and my back line has 4 (decent) rookies. I think Cameron will be top 6 in the fwd line and would be great to pick up before the price rise.

I reckon Bowes can wait a week so option 3 is where I’d go so you can also keep Mackenzie as an onfiel rookie rather than a riskier option

Looking at the following two options:

Second option leaves me with over $100k more in the bank and one extra trade (but no Daicos )

Depending on what it leaves you with on field, it could be worth trading out Allen instead of Greene. As a $124k rookie, he just needs one game to kick a couple of goalss and the cash gen shoots right up. It’ll also leave you with more cash for future moves

If you can, wait a week on Bowes to be sure he can back it up
Ridley is still a premo. I’d want to be trading him out for a keeper, particularly cause he’s up against the saints this week who have no talls for him to be accountable for so I’d watch for him to score like Freo defenders did in round 1 this week. Ridley to a Daicos makes sense but down to Bowes who we’ve only seen one game from where he was actually really quiet for a half would be risky

In a bit of a kafuffle this week – wanted to trade Fyfe last week but decided to give him one more chance (also missed the late out). Now he’s messed up my trades for this week. Ideally I wanted to get Chandler in but not sure if it’s viable given the injuries and other issues I’ve got going on.
I need to trade Steele, Fyfe and probably Chesser
Money not really an issue, before trades I have $486,30 in the bank (downgraded Stewart to McKenna last week)

Yeah- reckon it is Si. He’s outta my side now. Was hoping he was going to regain previous years form but age & Bevo changing his positions means someone like LDU just better prospects- imo

I have Hopper, Callaghan and Ridley with only 35k and 1 trade left, would love setterfield and Daicos in the side but unsure if I should trade any of them, Ridley-Daicos is easy or Hopper – Setterfield. Would love to know your thoughts on what’s best
Consensus is hold Hopper. Should score well and has a lot of money to make. Possibly better to grab one of the rookies on the bubble to generate more cash more quickly.

First scenario allows me to get both Setterfield and Ziebell and gets rid of an under performing premo. However, it leaves me with T.Green as my M3
Second Scenario allows me to get rid of Darcy (another under performing premo that I am looking to offload) whilst getting only one of Setterfield/Ziebell.
I have already used one trade this week (Ridley > Daicos)

The trade for Darcy to Cameron nets you +100k in cash and 80k in differential.
I’m doing it even with the knowledge of Darcy vs No-one at WC this week.
Why trade Ridley?
He’s not going great but if he’s not a huge problem priced at 500k he won’t lose much over the course of the season.
The trade is a direct sideswap.
Why not just keep Ridley and do
Macrae to Daicos. +130k ish
Darcy to Cameron + 80k ish + cover
Then upgrade a rookie/failed midpricer to another premium/midpricer
At least you’re finding value for your trades that way. If Ridley averages 90 and ends up as D6 that’s not an awful outcome

Hi all, in a dilemma
Can do the following
1. TU trade docherty and Chester and bring in setterfield and ziebell.
Pros -saves a trade boost, getting in 2 hot mid pricers.
Cons – losing a premo
2. TD Trade Darcy, Taranto/rozee and chesser and bring in d Cameron, setterfield and ziebell.
Pros – solving ruck issue with Darcy, getting two money maker mid pricers.
Cons – using a trade boost, losing a premo forward.
Tough decision, what do you think.?
Crazy to get rid of T-didley – he’s settling into the role and will grow over the season. Rozee the same!

Trading premos for mid pricers just never looks good on paper for mine. Maybe just Darcy to Cameron and then Chesser to a rookie you’ve missed. Hold the cash for something else but I would only be trading Docherty for Daicos and even then, I’m not willing to pull the trigger on that myself. Taranto and Rozee both look like keepers in the forward line so wouldn’t get rid of either of them

From a quick read of this page as my only SuperCoach for the week, I’m thinking Callaghan and Ratagolea -> Setterfield and Chandler is the way to go. Dunno if it should be Flander instead though? Thoughts very much appreciated.

I’d probably cull Flanders before Callaghan, potentially even boost to get rid of both and bring in another rookie like a Phillipou or Long just for better cash gen and for money in the bank for future moves

By your own estimates on a per trade basis that nets you approx 10 points/wk and 60k. Of course you want Daicos and LDU but would need to be closer to double that to be worth spending 3 trades. Maybe better to be patient and upgrade to them when you want rather than sideways to them now.

OK, so I’m just gonna say it… 36 trades and 5 boosts is too many!
That value of a trade is diminished. 2 weeks in, with ample trades in hand, everyone is making up to 5-6 “correctional” trades and converging on very similar teams.
Seasons use to be make or break based on nailing your rookies, PODs, backing your premos and trading strategically over the course of the year. Now, miss a rookie, pick the wrong midpricer and it doesn’t matter. Enough trades to just swap them out after 1-2 week. Or the other way, nail your starting POD and see that advantage disappear because it is too cheap and easy for everyone to jump on board.
Maybe a topic for a poll. What is the optimal number of trades and boosts?

Absolutely torn on the following, doesn’t effect structure whatsoever, and Cameron is already in.

LDU won’t average 150 so we’ve probably missed his two best scores, but he’s 150k underpriced and a mid premo.
English, arguably has had two tough matchups this season and could have gone bigger given his halftime totals.
Downsides for English is you miss a cheap Gawn when he’s back , and injury history. Upside is surely Macrae will play mid soon and that will help his taps to advantage and scaling.
Thinking about fading both for Titch as it allows me to keep Calahan and rookie correct to another player
