    • Back in the guy you think will average more for the rest of the season. I’m pretty sure I saw this same poll up last week and the results were vastly different. Don’t base your decision on one game or a recent spike score.

Personally speaking, I would be picking Rozee for a few reasons:

      – I think he will average more on the run home, however that is subjective.

      – As stated above and very importantly, you need to factor in who suits your bye structure and that Rozee has just come off his bye.

      – Added bonuses are he is slightly cheaper and offers DPP too.

Both nice selections at the end of the day though! Good luck!

  2. Best laid plans…. Trainers sucky score means I’m $4k short on my plans to bring in both TDK and Bont this round. Wanted to cash in on TDK’s Essendon match up. Will have to wait a week and go in the Eagles game.

Bonts run of next 6 games too good to miss

  3. Gotta tweak out a little this finish this team.

    This week:

    Gawn -> TDK
    Flynn -> Bont
    Cleary -> Clarke

    Next week:

    Chav Lindsay -> NWM

From there it’s two spots left with 9 trades.

For the FWD, I’m thinking Darcy at 400-415k and then any DEF or MID that’s half decent.

Cash left in the team: Hewett, Brock and hopefully Gray.

Lux candidates: Roberts, Sheezel – although doubt I’ll have the trades for that.

    • No other way to finish my team. Don’t have a single bench player over 200k.

The CG isn’t there and I’ve, undoubtedly, done myself some serious disservices at selection this year.

Gawn -> TDK rationale is: +180k, +1 extra game with TDK post-bye and a bit of hedging on fixtures.

TDK: Dons, Eagles, Roos, Port, Pies, Lions.
Gawn: Pies, Port, BYE, Suns, Crows, Roos.

Not ecstatic about it or anything but think it’ll be a solid set of moves.

      Comes up in tmmrw’s poll.

Td- trade dead rookie hustwaite and get libba banking only 39k

Plan is to go long to butters next week either way but just contemplating holding Hewitt as he will make a bit more cash..

Harry did well for 2 games and then got Bevoed into tactical sub at half time at his 3rd game…Still made 48 large and has a BE of minus 8
The last 3 weeks and most of The Hawks midfield should have been subbed out at Half Time!…

Just can’t see Bont not going under 600k at some stage as every mid has and could even be an upgrade from Caldwell later. And with cash gen so grim it means I can have 23 premos with Caldwell being the worst and not relying on any rookies to get to 250k+

    • I’m not an Essendon fan, but a quick look shows that he averaged 100 over a 10 game stretch last year (after round 14, which I think was their bye). It’s not impossible, but that average included two mid-50s scores, both of which would have been in the SC finals, so you may want to keep a trade in your back pocket for him.

  21. As my team nears completion, is it best to prioritise a higher number of “premium”players, such as flex and a potential 24th, or focus on getting Bont, Butters, Brayshaw types who are almost guaranteed to finish top of their line and have the potential for 150+ ceiling scores.

For example, is it best to go Lindsay to Stewart/Caldwell this week leaving me with a team of 22 “premium” scorers, or should I hold for now leaving an extra rookie on field and try to target Butters, etc in the coming weeks.

Also included in this discussion are underperforming players like Sheezel, is it worth sidewaysing them to bonafide ubers?

TU: A team of 23/24 solid 95+ scorers

Butters had back to back 160’s, against two weak teams, besides that he has been ok. maybe missing the early part of the season has caught up on him? maybe rest does him good. there might be other options to Butters.

we can wait a week on both, Hawks arnt the easiest match up for Bont, but after that he is close to a must have, its just his price will make it hard to finish team

How many trades do we anticipate having after our sides are ‘complete’ ?

I’m grabbing Bont this week and Butters in the next couple of weeks and that will leave me with 10 trades with 2 spots to fill (Def/Fwd).

Thinking of grabbing the likes of Mills potentially as my D6 & JHF at a discounted price to minimise the amount of trades used.

Against the dees, he had like 110 DT for memory and just a bad ratio, and on the weekend against the crows it was just a dog game from pretty much the whole team which happens, he had 12 clearances and 12 contested disposals which is overs, he used the ball by 16% by foot which killed him. 46. Posted earlier regarding Mills, is he a viable D6/23rd ‘premium’?

It will save me a trade and cash gen is looking thin as it is. Wouldn’t jump on this week but thinking after his bye it might be the play. After all, I feel like coaches are going to have to sacrifice somewhere this year.

For those wondering, my flex will most likely contain a ruckman, thinking of TDK this week.

    • Why not wait on him though? He won’t go up in price before his bye and you can see if he actually gets a decent score before we know if he’s worth grabbing

      • My bad, should’ve noted that I won’t be grabbing him this week. Just trying to figure out how I’m going to finalise my side with the lack of cash gen going around. The plan could be to grab Mills after his bye. Cheers!

        • Cash Gen at this stage of the year can be easily generated by trading out players about to drop 30k and trading in players about to increase by 30k. Trading in a mid pricer to make 50 -70k in 3 weeks plus 250-300 points seems better than trading in a mid season rookie who is replacing an injured player and scores 180-200 over 3weeks week but makes 100k.

  47. What to do with Clayton Oliver?
TU: Keep him and continue upgrading rookies to get to full premo
    TD: Trade for Jye Caldwell

  48. Trying to build up some bank to get Bont + Butters next week.

I’m thinking of trading A reid to Blakiston, as I don’t have a ruck to loop with anyway.

For context, once those players are in, I’ll have one fwd left to upgrade. Currently 16 trades left.

    TU: Smart move
TD: Keep him just in case

  49. Heylo! I can’t figure out what to do… was thinking Flynn, Maric and Cleary to Libb, McCarthy and Clarke but idk if i should be piling money on Libba. I would be able to get bont and butters afterwards and have 5 trades left, 22 premos + Phillipou in 2 rounds (with 7 defenders roberts at flex). Any thoughts on where I should focus if don’t agree with above?

Sinc Dale Zorko Sheezel Roberts Hardeman (Gray Saad)

Neale Cerra Brayshaw Merrett Daicos Holmes Rozee Phillipou (Hustwaite Gross Lindsay)

    Xerri Gawn (Boyd)

Smith Martin Warner Daniel Maric Rankine (Cleary Simpson)

    Flynn

  50. In all sorts of trouble in my league. Keep playing teams that have top 500 scores. At least I’m top of the Points Conceded ladder 🙂
So, looks like I have another tough matchup this week against 19th on the ladder, and need the win!
TU: Cleary, Flynn & Stone -> Bont, Clarke & Pedlar leaving 4 rookies on field and $10k itb
TD: Cleary, Flynn & Lashcroft -> Clarke, Stewart & Caldwell leaving 3 rookies on field, $195k itb and the plan of getting Bont next week.

    • Not a fan of Naicos, great at getting easy 1,2 possessions, crap at handling a tag (suddenly injured) or playing head to head against a complete footballer (also suddenly injured) or changing the course of a game. Not having him is the best move ive made all season

  51. Just curious…I can’t recall a mid season round like this where I reckon I have already tried 20 different trade alternatives. Am I alone ???

  54. Went J.Short & E.Hewett to Bolton & Simpson last week
Def – Sinclair, Dale, Sheezel, Roberts, Trainor, Gray (Stone, El-Hawli)
Mid – Neale, Naicos, Trac, Rozee, Holmes, W.Ashcroft, Warner Lindsey (Knevitt, C.Hall, Huswaite)
    Ruc – Xerri, Marshall (Boyd)
Fwd – Smith, Macrae, Rankine, Bolton, Daniel, L Ashcroft (JHF, C. Cleary)
    Flex – Flynn
    $126,900 ITB, 20 trades left, 2 boosts

Can get Bont & Clarke going Trainor & Flynn ($8,500 ITB) this week but unsure that’s the best move. Would appreciate any thoughts on any other obvious moves I should do this week

    • I think stick with your guns but with that many trades, you could also trade a Cleary or Hustwaite to Pedlar to get more cash. You could also get TDK in instead of Bont and then use the extra cash to get up to Bont next week. Also, I can’t see Simpson even though you said you have him

  55. Def – Sinclair, Clark, Holmes, Sheezel, Roberts, Clarke, Carroll, El-Hawli
Mid – Brayshaw, Anderson, Neale, Merrett, Naicos, LAshcroft, Lindsay, Boxshall, FOS, Moraes, Huswaite
    Ruck – Xerri, Gawn (Boyd)
Fwd – Smith, Petracca, Warner, Rankine, Maric, Gray, Macrae, Stone
    Flex – Cleary
    ITB: 224.3k
    Trades: 15

Obvious people to move on are Maric, Cleary and LAshcroft. I was considering going:
    OUT: Maric, Cleary and LAshcroft
IN: Pedlar, TDK and a mid sub 604.9k (would have like Bont)

Not sure if these are the right moves.
    TU: Good trades
    TD: Reassess

    • Could hold LAshcroft and trade him to NWM next week instead too if there’s no player below that price jumping out at you this week
