      1. 3 is a potential hold too.
He’s averaging 122 minus his concussion game. If you replace him with say a 110-ave player and include the 50-60 you’d get from your def bench cover, you might be down 80 points? Not worth a trade, plus you’d have him for finals.
4 weeks is pushing it though.

  1. Stewart out.
Avoiding Doch due to wanting to upgrade Merrett -> Steele the week after. Concerned about Hall going down late in the year and having F all trades left, but his ceiling speaks for itself.

    Tu) Bailey Dale

    Td) Aaron Hall

    1. @ Abs – how many doggies do you already have?

Maybe avoid Dale if you already have English, Bont, Macrae, Libba etc

        1. I know that it has been discussed quite a few times already this year, but do people think 5 doggies in your team is too many?

The WB have a very tough run going forward (they have t0 play 5 out of the top 6 sides plus St K & GWS & Haw), and they now have to play:

          Bris
          Sydney
          St K
          Melb
Geel (@ GMS Stadium) – first week of SC league finals
          Frem
          GWS
          Haw

The WB players do seems to score quite well even in a loss, but I suspect they wouldn’t want to get badly beaten one week if we have 5 or 6 x doggies in our team

          1. Dosnt matter where the points come from. Every player can bring you down.
This time of the season just go with your gut, not head.
Early on. Research players to play Max games with a high floor.
Now, just go with who has the best chance of boosting your score dramatically.

  2. Currently 4 trades remaining with 1 upgrade remaining. Stripped for cash (30k), need to keep winning to cement a finals spot in my cash league..

Tu; Stewart > Steele & use 2 trades to get a lesser premo in week

Td; Hold Stewart & use 3 trades to get Steele in for a rookie next week

(Have used all my boosts already)
    Thoughts appreciated!

  3. I have 11 trades and 3 boosts still to use.

My question is could I be left with boosts that are left unused if I use all my trades first?

Don’t have to deal with the Stewart issue so hoping to do this trade depending on prices and selection
    Out: Hinge, McDonald & McCartin
In: Hall, English and rookie 102k mid with Mis/fwd Dpp
Will have bugger all cash left but have Rozee as M9/for cover but only D’Ambrosio at d7.
Liked the look of Archer but will give him another week

  4. Stewart to Steele this week.
Leaves me with 3 trades, 30k and one rookie left to upgrade (wehr).

Thoughts would be greatly appreciated on how to play this out. Is there any majorly cheap pods for the run home I can look at in the coming weeks? Ideally would like to keep 2 trades for injuries however looking like I may possibly only have 1.

    Thoughts!!

    1. If you’re looking for cheap, it could almost be worth doing Stewart to Whitfield this week and letting Steele drop again and you can upgrade to him next week?

      7

      0
      1. I don’t think Steele is set to lose much cash next week (I think his B/E is in the 130 range) – maybe $10k.

        0

        0
  5. Sinclair worth consideration, or is the return of Steele and Ross gonna cause his scoring to tank?

Dawson and Houston probably the other options.

    2

    0
    1. He’s been playing exclusively at HB the last few weeks, BlueBalls. So, midfield changes won’t impact him.

Copped a tag this week. Still Top 6 and, for mine, a must have.

      12

      4
  6. Trade out Stewart or hold him and use rookie to field?

TU: Trade him out not worth the ranking and don’t know if the rookie will be playing

    TD: Hold him

    18

    8
  7. McCartin > Some forward rookie
    Hobbs > Steele

Will then have a full premo team as long as English comes back this week

    1. Hold all trades.

      D’Ambrosio averages 50 next 3 weeks Stewart misses v a trade to 100 average premium = 150 point deficit.

Stewart returns over last 5 weeks and averages 125 v 100 premium you would have traded him to = 25 point deficit in overall points over reminder of season but hasn’t cost you a trade.

      7

      7
        1. No, he’s basically saying 1 trade to earn 25 extra points is not worth it which is correct. But the logic isn’t entirely correct. What if you trade in someone like Hall who could average 125 (who knows?) from now on? Then it definitely would be worth the trade. I don’t have Stewart, think I’d be trading to Hall (High risk High reward) or Dawson.

          3

          -1
    2. If you don’t get English and Preuss back this week, a trade makes sense, but otherwise, I’m on board with Timbo about holding – however, I’ll quibble with some of the numbers Timbo used:
      – 125 for Stewart is charitable – his season average is 115, 5-game is 118.
      – 50 ppg for D’Ambrosio is realistic.
      – You can afford Docherty, who is averaging 110 ppg (112 season, 5-game of 109).

Using my #’s – if Stewart is out 3 rounds, you’re up 180 points ((110-50) x 3). From there, you lose 10 points per game for final 5 games (probably closer to 5 ppg, but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to Stewart), then the trade has netted you 130 points. That looks more reasonable, especially considering you have good coverage on all other lines and could afford to carry some of the ‘general soreness’ or 1-2 week injuries that are coming in the next couple of months.

      1

      0
      1. Oh thanks for these information make lots of sense and I’m planning on holding Stewart move him to the bench and use Wehr and Ambrosio on the field but this would depend if they are playing and if Preuss is playing.

  9. 5 Trades left

    T/U Stewart > Doch/Dawson
T/D Stewart > Doch and Cripps to Steele.

Main concern is having 3 trades for the run home but bringing Steele in for the underperforming Cripps is a luxary trade that could work in my favour massively. Will think it over this week.

  10. Which trade is better in the long run

    TU Taranto to Duncan/Treloar

    TD Zerrett/Cripps to Steele

  11. Only have 1 trade after this what is a better trade to have a consistent scoring team.

    TU Zerrett/Cripps to Steele

    TD Taranto to Duncan/Treloar

    11

    6
    1. @ Jerome – I would seriously consider holding your trade this week if I was you!!

You only have 2 trades left, and you are considering trading out fit players (that are generally pretty consistent) in Cripps & Merrett & Taranto

Think you will need those last 2 trades for injuries over the next 4 weeks (or 8 weeks to go if you count all the SC league finals).

      36

      0
      1. I agree Brett.

Taranto to Duncan is madness. Duncan is brittle as and Taranto will improve.

Wait until SC finals to pull the trigger on a Cripps / Merrett upgrade.

  12. Steward dilemma. 7 trades left.

1st option, funds allowing a swap to a Hall.
2nd, use 2 trades to get Dawson.
3rd, hold Steward for a week, Sinclair price drop gets me him following week.

    Rank 225.

    5

    4
  13. Hey community,
Last upgrade is at F6 but I only have 520k in the bank. Who is the best option at this price?
    Any response would be awesome!

    1. Tex if you want to spice up your life, if not then probably Heeney. Shitty score over the weekend but on his ceiling, form and the strength of the Swans he’ll probably still end up Top 6.

Rozee interesting if you’re really looking for something radical…

      3

      2
      1. Can I possibly suggest Dylan Moore? He’s got a really high ceiling and has had less terrible scores than Heeney or Rozee. Also a nice POD and can score in wins and losses. I’ve had him in draft all year and he’s won me so many matchups.

        10

        1
    1. Baker is a bit of a Mr Fixit for Richmond. He can play off halfback, in the midfield and forward … he does not have a clear role. I would say he is high risk. Went into the midfield on the weekend. Cotchin back next week but Prestia out. Martin still a bit rusty after missing games. Short term he’ll probably score well. Long term, not sure.

      1

      0
  14. Liking Steele as a late luxury sideways POD, however think I’ll wait a week for a few reasons:

    a) he plays the Blues, who are the most restrictive unit going around

    b) give that shoulder another week to get battle tested

    c) to see if Cripps can make a case to stick around

    d) if Walsh is potentially a better option, the kid’s a jet and single handedly destroyed FT’s weekend down in Melbourne!

    14

    1
    1. Ha ha.

The fact I own him was the one shining light. Watching him the flesh he was everywhere. I highly recommend getting him . One of the only mids that doesn’t need CBA’s to score well. With his running ability, I pick him to be in the top few scorers to finish the year.

  15. Feel for those with Stewart this week after last week’s carnage too, been trying to get him in but in hindsight thankfully it didn’t happen

    2 trades this week:
    McCartin > D’Ambrosio
Rosas > Steele (via Clarke DPP)

Gives me full premo and leaves me with Daicos as mid/def cover and one of Preuss/Cameron as fwd/ruck cover and loops. Left with 9 trades potentially to use on some underperformers (petracca, short)

    13

  16. Thank you for the 1 week service Stewart! Playing for rank so it’ll be a trade for me

    T/U – Stewart to Dawson
T/D – Stewart to Hall, Rosas to Jackson (becomes F7/R3 cover)

    5 trades left currently

  17. Looking at my midfield
Im thinking of having a POD

    TD McComb/G Clark to c Guthrie /rookie

Comment – stay with the big guns and get miller

    11

    TU – Hickey
    TD – Preuss

Reckon Gawn is back quick so not really considering Jackson.

  19. Thinking of a luxury trade this week as I am ranked 275 yet dont have Oliver. Thinking Cripps (TU) or Merrett (TD).
    Thoughts ?

    16
  20. Looking at Izak Rankin to out average Heeney for the rest of the year.
Rankins average has been creeping up over the year.
TU-Good solid speculative pick, he’s getting better.
    TD-He’s in a purple patch.

    Petracca T/D

  22. Best premo option down back for 450k or less for the run home? Restricted heavily for cash.

TU: Stewart > Steele via dpp
    > Next week bring in cheaper premo down back to finalise my side

TD; Hold Stewart & field Wehr
    > Bring in Steele next week to finalise side

    2

    15
  23. is it worth potentially copping a player who doesn’t play to get bont to finish my forward line? or should I get libba and a rookie who plays (bench)

TU – bont and a rookie who doesn’t play?
TD – Libba with a rookie who plays

(Rookie will obviously be on the bench and o have Judson clarke aswell on the pine)

    8

    14
    1. Wow, not a lot of love for Steele?

T/U – Only just come back from injury, give it a few weeks / Saints have tough run home.

T/D – Walshy just clearly a better selection.

      7

      13
  24. 4 trades left, full premo team

would you trade connor macdonald and rosas for d’ambrosio and luke jackson?? Jackson would be r3 & f7

With dpp, jackson can cover every mid, ruck, rwd. Have no playing defender bench, d’ambrosio might be useful. Have both English and Parish who didn’t play last week

    8

    3
      1. Yeah agreed mate, very surprised with the voting here! If i recall correctly we all had Hall over Dawson in our starting sides!

        2

        7
        1. If I recall correctly Dawson’s missed 1 game for the year and Hall has missed 8. Going into finals with limited trades. I’ll take the durability, thanks! Similar ceilings too.

          11

          0
          1. If you’re talking 90k difference I’m taking Hall at this stage every day of week. It’s similar to saying what would you prefer?

            T/U – Hall and Bont

            T/D – Dawson and Heeney

Think I know what i’d prefer!

            6

            0
            1. No real validation there, as Bont is 130k more than Heeney, not 90k. Of course, you take the Bont option if choosing from those two though.

              4

              3
    1. D’Ambrosio for me – he looks like a ripper 🙂

Beautiful kick, makes good decisions, and reminds me a little of a slightly shorter & younger Michael Hibberd.

Think Kemp is still learning his craft, and despite Jordan Boyds foot injury that was announced today, Kemp will probably lose his spot when Weitering, Durdin, McGovern etc return.

Archer probably got picked before he deserved a game, but he looked pretty good – although I suspect they will just try to get 3 or 4 games into him this year (so he knows the level required for preseason next year).

  25. Defence dilemma.
TU: trade out Daicos ($440,000 and rising)
TD: trade out Short ($498,500 and falling).

    19

    4
    1. Probably not, so I voted T/D

But if you are playing for a league win, just be mindful that Carlton need to play Melbourne at the MCG in round 22 – which is supercoach preliminary final week.

And Melbourne could be absolutely firing by then

  26. 10 trades left. Ranked 2004. 138 itb. Playing for league and overall.
ATM thinking hold Stewart as I will need to bring him back in after his suspension anyway… Butters and McCartin are my concerns. Can do Butters to English/Bont/Steele in one trade (main targets… trades are like gold for run home)

Defence: Hewett, Sicily, Sinclair, Doch, Daicos, SDK…. (Stewart, Uwland)
Mids: Oliver, Laird, Neale, Macrae, Miller, Walsh, Brodie, Cripps… (Clarke, Owens, Long)
    Ruck: Witts, Preuss (Teakle)
Forwards: Cogs, Dunks, Parker, Cameron, Butters, Heeney (McCartin, Curtis)

    Thoughts appreciated??

    1

    3
    1. Butters to Bont I like, Even if Butters comes back this week, will he play more fwd less mid after injury ? and didnt score well last year when he came back from injury. Bont looked amazing vs Haw

Preuss should be back this week, If you’ve held this long maybe keep him for another week

I would look at Stewart to Dawson as well. Dawson d1 5 round average and adelaide have soft fixture rest of season. Stewart imo too long to hold, if he gets 3 weeks or longer

      6

I have Darcy Cameron so have to keep at least one trade to upgrade him when Grundy comes back.
    DEF is:
    Sicily, Sinclair, Docherty
    Hewett, Crisp, Short

    Am full premo.
Should I go for my first luxury trade and use some of my $134K to upgrade Short to Dawson

T/U – Yes their BE means now is the time to do it.
Dawson BE 74, Short BE 124

T/D – No you don’t have enough trades to be messing around.

    1. Not a silly question at all Baz, he has done it in the past when in very similar roles. Under spike I think he can for sure. He is a bargain @ 463k but still think he would probably be around D7-10 from now till end of season. Very strong season for defenders.

        1. Yeah for sure mate, I’d personally go Whit over Lloyd. And if you even have enough cash itb you could go Hall who i think will score top 3 defenders for rest of season if he stays on the park. Big if, but could really be a good pod.

  34. 9 trades left and no rookies left on field. However, some ‘premos’ will need ‘fixing’ (Ryan, Ridley, Green, Cripps, Stewart…).

I have 3 rooks still plumping up (Soligo, Curtis, Parnell.. maybe), 2 at their BE (SDK and MRioli) and 3 who aren’t playing (Owens, Carroll, Teakle).

Question is, should I trade out a rookie for Ambrosio to have some cash gen going forward (and bank some coin) or should I hold trades for the needed upgrades and inevitable spanners that will be thrown in the works.

T/U – Get Ambrosio, 8 rounds is still a long time and you’ll need more cash from somewhere (cashing out a plumped up cow now, and potentially from Ambrosio in the future)

T/D – hold the trade – you’ll need them to address bigger issues. And 5 playing rookies should be enough to generate the cash you need for any future plans.

    Thanks!

  36. Playing for leagues, no hope for overall! 11 trades left, 1 boost. Stewart has to go. Which is better option to replace Stewart, and another upgrade? Don’t think getting Dawson will leave me with enough cash for decent other upgrade. Prepared to take the chance on Hall staying on the paddock for remainder of season (or to make some cash to sideways trade if needed)

    T/U: Hall and Bont

T/D: Hall and Libba (save $30k)

Comment if you feel i should use the remaining boost to trade another cow to get Dawson instead of Hall

    16

  37. 7 Trades left. Pushing for the top 10 OA- Feel like I’m going to upgrade Keays to a walsh/kelly/steele type. 580k to play with

Steele i could wait on and potentially trade for crippa next week or the week after.
Kelly has burnt me before and makes me nervous!
That leaves walsh – i guess i’m looking for different opinions and if it’s worth it to make the move from Keayes to a higher ceiling premo considering the amount of trades left.

TU – Trade keayes (to walsh)
    TD – Hold and reasess

    4

    16
    1. Alternatively, and potentially more important;

Get Gresham off field for Bont, but would have to trade Khamis to D’Ambrosio to do so. Gresham with a tough run home and the Bont not looking like dropping price in a while. Does leave me with 5 trades left however.

      TU – Absolutely
      TD – Don’t be silly

  41. Hi All, I have a no English Dilemma,
Last week I had to play Hobbs and McCartin on field to my regret.
Rank dropped to 1253. 8 trades left and 148000 ITB.
No Stewart to cover and hopefully Preuss Back in. Don’t want to play McCartin or Hobbs again.
Was looking at luxury McCartin to Hall and then move Short to cover mid/def bench. As English is out again do I now do just one trade and do probably McCartin to Heeney and he will be M9/F7 when English back. Only 520000 to cover.

TU Get Heeney for this week and then M9/F7 cover
TD Save trade and play McCartin

Also, can still get Hall and move Short to mid bench (cover mid/def) if I trade out Hobbs and Wehr and bring in D’Ambrosio. Will leave 5 trades left. Comment if worth doing or too much of a luxury.

    Cheers

    DEF is:
    Sicily, Sinclair, Ridley,
    Hewett, Daicos, Short (Wehr, Turner)

    TU:Ridley to Hall
TD: Wehr to D’Ambrosio, Daicos to Hall/Dawson

    Or do I just leave?

    1

    16
  44. 4 trades remaining, already have Butters F7/M9 cover and English as ruck cover.

    TU: Stewart > Hall, 139kITB (D’Ambrosio cover)

    TD: Merrett > Dawson
    Cleary > Uwland
(Keep Stewart, Short becomes D7/M9 cover when Stewart is back. M8 can be looped between Short and Butters for the rest of the year) 27kITB

  45. McCartin-Carroll-Clark to Hall-D’Ambrosio-Teakle.

Opens up swings between def-mid and ruck-fwd.

    Will look like this:
Sinclair, Hewett, Hall, Short, Zorko, Ridley (Parnell, D’Ambrosio)
Oliver, Laird, Neale, Macrae, Miller, Brayshaw, Cripps, Daicos (McComb, Rioli, Owens)
    Witts, Preuss (Teakle)
Coniglio, Brodie, Dunkley, Parker, Goldy, Butters (Rosas, Clarke)

I know it’s not the best looking team in the world, but have 9 trades left after and $354k itb to upgrade further.

    TU: Sounds like a plan.
    TD: Keep thinking.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  46. Anyone else loving their projected score this round when you put the C on Clarry and it doubles his projected 193 to 386!!!!

    12

    1
    1. As an owner of both i’d rather Doc, Sinclair tagged on the weekend and I think will continue to be, made a massive difference!

      4

      0
  47. Is anyone looking at holding Stewart and running with a rookie replacement – Daicos perhaps?

TU : Yes – holding Stewart
TD: Not for 4 weeks = Trade.

    19

    18
    1. I brought in Blicavs for Gawn so considering holding Stewart and swinging Blicavs down back as cover via some other trades. And then trading out Blicavs in 4 weeks

      3

      0
  48. 4 trades left and have 2rookie covering defense and forward(with English out for another week) plan to hold Stewart that means i got two rookie covering defense.

    TU: Good idea

    TD: Trade out Stewart

    2

    16
  49. If I don’t have Sicily, is he a straight swap from Stewart? Already have Hewett, Crisp, Short and Ridley as def premo’s.

    T/U – yes ya dummy
T/D – pod Hall can be considered

    17

    4
  50. Stewart replacement. Already have Sicily, Docherty, Hewitt and Dawson.

    TU: Jack Sinclair

    TD: Aaron Hall

    18

    16
  51. 9 trades and 2 boosters left. 2 different approaches I am thinking about. Use 3 trades and build more flex into the side or use 1 trade and get the flexibility by saving trades. The assumption is the big Preusser is back this week.

TU: Stewart, McCartin, G Clark to Rich, Libba and Teakle
De Goey and L Jackson provides loops and flexibility into the r3, f7 and m9 positions
6 trades left. Full premo except Daicos at D6

    TD: Stewart to Docherty
8 trades left. McCartin and Daicos loop at D6. Jackson and DeGoey @D5 and D6.

    5

    1
  52. Im using my last boost and upgrading both Rowell and Daicos this week and bringing in D’Ambrosio, taking me to full premo with 6 trades left

Laird is a definite in, but unsure of the last spot.

    TU – Steele
    TD – Walsh

    Comment – Other

Already have – Oliver, Neale, Macrae, Miller, Cripps, Keays.

    Cheers.

    4

    7
  53. McCartin, Rosas > Ambrosio, Bont

Have Stewart and 8 trades left. Only going for league finals win.

    TU: Hold Stewart
    TD: Stewart > Walsh (DPP)

    4

    9
  54. If I don’t have Brodie, is a must-have for my final upgrade? Thought I was just going to have to go without him but I have enough trades to make it work, and I don’t like any of the other options (Heeney, Stringer, Taranto)

    TU: Yes
    TD: Nah

    12

    4
  55. What’s the deal with Liam Baker’s recent form? 3rd Ave of 112 and a 5 rnd of 110, only in 2% of teams, could be a good rare gem or will this only last till Cotchin’s return?

    3

    0
    1. Baker is very tempting while playing a midfield role (Considering him myself) However, once Cotchin and Prestia are back then hard to see how he keeps it up.

      3

      0
  56. Stewart and Soligo out. Do I bring in:

    TU: Hall and Bont
    TD: Rich and Libba

Either one leaves me with Butters as my M9/F7 swing when English comes back next week, and 7 trades remaining

    16

    5
  57. 6 trades remaining with complete team, facing a 0 in the ruck with English. Tossing up between:

TU: Stewart to Dawson ($30k ITB)
TD: Stewart to Hall, Rosas to Jackson (Jackson covers English this week and will be eventual R3/F7 cover)

    1

    17
  58. Help please:

DEF: Dawson, Sinclair, Hewett, Crisp, Short, Stewart (Wehr, Parnell)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Macrae, Miller, Brayshaw, Cripps, Green, Butters (Stephens, Owens, Daicos)
    RUC: Witts, Cameron (Teakle)
FWD: Bont, Cogs, Brodie, Dunkley, Parker, Heeney (English, Curtis)

    8 trades, No $ ITB

    0

    0
    1. Depends how little no cash is. If you’ve got about $3k you could do Butters and Stewart to Keays and Hall. If it’s really no cash you could do Steele and Whitfield/Lloyd instead. If you’ve got a boost you could cull a Wehr or Curtis to get the cash for a player you’d like more

      1

      0
    2. My next 3 trades would be Stuart to Premo defender for $$$$

      Upgrade Butters/Heeney to primo Mid

Next week Wehr to D/M loop to allow Daicos to swing between the two spots

If you have a boost left do all 3 this week. And have $ in the bank for later

      0

      0
  59. Looking for a sub 500k Mid/Fwd to become my M9/F7. Already have Butters.

    TU: Heeney
    TD: Treloar

    Comment any other viable options

    7

    9
  60. Comes down to if English or Dixon are selected this week but…
    T/U – Darcy/Hall
    T/D – Treloar/Docherty

    Thanks.

    5
  61. I still have Gawn as I’ve had to fix up Butters, Preuss and a couple of dud rookies on field like Greg Clark. I have Witts and English as my R1 and F1 and have 4 remaining trades left. Should I:

    Thumbs Up: Hold Gawn
Thumbs Down: Trade Gawn to Darcy

Not sure on Gawn’s scoring potential after that injury and feel Jackson may shoulder more ruck duties for the rest of the season.

    15

    1
  62. Currently ranked about 3.5k and have 4 trades left and am wanting to move up in ranks. Do I trade….

    Jayden Short -> Aaron Hall

    T/U – Yes

    T/D – No

    4

    30
    1. Short has a few juicy match ups in the next month.
      WC
      GCS
      North
      Freo 😉

      I think he comes good.

I would prefer using the trade to sideways an under performing Mid to Steele this week or next.or get a Heeney / Butters type up to Bont. This could possibly net an extra 20 points a week.

      4

      0
  63. Playing for leagues only, on the cusp of making finals but have a couple of favourable matchups coming up so I should scrape into the 8. Pretty much no chance of top 4 with or without Stewart.

2 trades left at the moment and full premo (including Stewart in premo count).

TU: Hold Stewart (cover is Wehr/Masimo)
TD: Trade Stewart (leaves me with 1 trade and 40k for rest of the season)

    19

    2
  64. Only have 4 trades left (basically full premo)
TU: Trade Stewart left with 3 trades
TD: Hold Stewart and use Wehr for 4 weeks

Only problem is I have jackson who may need to be traded when Gawn comes back

    12

    6
  65. 1st trade is Soligo to Darcy via DPP
2nd trade either Daicos to Hall or C. Jamieson to Jackson

TU – Trade Daicos to Hall and field Taylor F6
TD – Jamieson to Jackson and field Daicos D6

I am leaning towards to TU as have English on Bench to swap with Taylor next week.

    4

    9
  66. Final defender already have short, Docherty, Hewett, crisp, Sinclair

    TU: Hall
    Or
    TD: Dawson

    Comment any other thoughts

    1

    19
  67. A bit of a dilemma here, l’ve only got six trades left:

TU: Do l just use one trade to trade in Hall for McCartin or….

TD: Do l use two trades to get Dawson in which either trade would be my last upgrade?

    13

    16
  68. Playing for rank, 117 overall atm
    7 trades, 1 boost left

    English > Darcy
    Cripps > Mills

Can bring back English next week for D Cameron (Grundy’s probably not too far away and Cameron doesn’t have that much more to make)

    Tu: Yes
    Td: No

    19

    1. Surprised by the overwhelming response as I was very on the fence for it! Thanks everyone, cheers

  69. Goldstein worth it? Always worry with teams like North looking to give more opportunities to youth. Espeically after their club is under review

    5

    13
  70. So this week I can either trade Jeffrey & Curtis to bont and a rookie who isn’t playing or either trade Jeffrey and khamis to whitfield or a defender up to 507k and a rookie and keep 80k

    TU – trade to bont
TD – trade to Whitfield / 507k defender

Curtis BE -5 and this trade leaves me with one more rookie to upgrade

    5

    6
  71. 7 trades, $54K ITB, playing for league only. Currently top 4 but v close for top 8. Need 2 more wins I reckon.
    TU: Hold Stewart
    TD: Stewart -> Bont
    Butters is another question…….

    7

    9
  72. So, Butters….
If he doesn’t play, he’s definitely going to Petracca
But, if he plays, do I
TU: Hold and hope he’s recovered?
    TD: Trade to Petracca?

    13

    6
  73. If Rosas ain’t playing do you think Luke Jackson a good cover to get? I know Gawn will be back but i think Melbourne will play safe with him and maybe ruck less.

    TU: Yes get Luke Jackson

TD: No Gawn will be back.

    4

    5
  74. 8 trades left weighing up two options.

    TU: McCartin F6> Hall
TD: McCartin, Short and a rookie trade for cash > Rich, Houston.

    10

    4
  75. Last week traded Gawn, Jeffrey & G.Clark to Witts, D’Ambrosio (via Daicos DPP) and Heeney
    My current team:
DEF: Sicily, Sinclair, Hewett, Crisp, Ridley, Wehr (Sinn, D’Ambrosio)
MID: Oliver, Laird, Neale, Macrae, Parish, Miller, Cripps, N.Daicos (M.Rioli, Owens, Hollands)
    RUC: English, Witts (S.Hayes)
FWD: Cogs, Brodie, Dunkley, Parker, Butters, Heeney (Durdin, C.MacDonald )
$63,500 in the bank, 14 trades left, two trade boosts left
    Any suggestions are helpful

  76. T/U – Stewart to Houston (4 trades left) – Play Rosas or Clark as English cover
T/D – Stewart & Rosas to Hall & Jackson (3 trades left) – Jackson to act as R/F cover for rest of year

  77. Hey guys,

apologies if this has been asked but does anyone know whether Harry Himmelberg will receive DDP status (Def/For) with the next batch ? And does this happen going into Round 18 or after Round 18 ?

    Thanks everyone !

    1. I’m pondering the same question Plus…had traded him in for Jeffrey this week but may reverse that, as the worry is Gawn will be back in a week or so and it could severely affect Jackson’s scoring.
But…he will go up in price and hard to know where he’ll be used when Gawn’s back!
Just not sure its worth the risk…or a trade at this stage…

      1

      1. Also will they keep using Jackson in the ruck to play it safe with Gawn previous injuries? so much questions.

  78. 6 trades left and already carrying some weapons on the bench…

Should I replace Stewart with Docherty, or hold Stewart by burning two trades to bring in Pendles and a DPP nuff?

    Lineup before trades:
DEF: Sicily, Sinclair, Stewart, Dawson, Hewett, Short (Wehr, D’Ambrosio)

MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Miller, Macrae, Cripps,Petracca (Clarke, Owens, Worner)

    RUCK: Darcy, Jackson (Gawn)

FWD: English, Bontempelli, Dunkley, Brodie, Coniglio, Treloar (Rosas, Teakle)

TU: 1 trade. Stewart to Docherty. 5 trades left, $25k ITB. Carrying Gawn and English on bench, field Rosas for English.

TD: 2 trades. Wehr and Rosas to Pendles and N.Long. 4 trades left, 14k ITB. Carrying Gawn, English and Stewart on bench, field J.Clarke for English

    1. Not sure how best to answer you Pumba – I guess it depends on if you are playing for OA or just leagues?

If OA, then trade Stewart I think.
If leagues, I may be inclined to hold Stewart … he may well end up being an awesome POD if people burn their remaining trades on players … and short term outs … and while you still have functional players listed and playing that are scoring (hopefully around 60 and above) as cover, they are gold with the outs that continue.

One other option that I haven’t seen a lot of talk on as DEF cover, and I am wondering and will ask below, is have you considered Kiddy Coleman from Lions?
      $407K – averaging 79.4 and 3RA 85.3 and 5RA of 89.2

Seems to have a good role, rebounding and intercepting and taking some kick ins etc … and only 3% owned??

      Just some thoughts?

      3

      1
  79. Folks, as per my reply above to Pumba – can we get some thumbs / thoughts on Kiddy Coleman as a replacement / cover for Stewart (particularly if you are holding Stewart and in a price range) … he also has DPP to FWD if you have another on your bench in that space still (SDK / McCartain / Skinner may get a game?)

T/U – yes, appears great cover with role and numbers
T/D – nah someone else may be better (please nominate them!!)

    3

    3
    1. Just a bit more than I’d like for what he gives. There’s a lot of players averaging 80 around that price. Pendles is $30k more and averaging 15 more points. Lloyd and Whitfield are $60k more and we all know they have potential to be really top tier talents but the year we’ve seen from both is still more points than Coleman despite them being disappointing. Just think even if they don’t improve, they’ll outscore him and both have the potential to just go 110+ from here

      0

      0
          1. But may still be not a bad call Freo … just depends if the whole fiasco of his suspension has put him on the outer with his teammates and affected his game I guess … he was OK early on … so yes, not a bad call! (maybe into the unknown we go!!) … pity he doesn’t have the DPP swing …

            1

            0
  80. What to do with English… don’t want to hold I’m fed up with him

    T/U Nankervis

    T/D Cameron/ Darcy

Comment: Hold and give me a good reason why coz I’m done

    3

    2
  81. If Preuss is playing this week should i hold Stewart only have 4 trades want to use that trade to finish off my defense so two trade on defense and stewart is the last which leave 2 trade left for injuries/suspension.

TU: Keep him and bench the player and use the rookie to cover

    TD: Trade him out

    6

    0
  82. Which option is better? I have 10 trades

    TU: Option 1
    C.Stephens -> $102k rookie + McCartin -> Dawson

This option also keeps Butters as my M9/F7

    TD: Option 2
    Butters -> Dawson

    0

    3
  83. I have given up on English wasted three trades with him, been in and out of my team since Rd1, scored me very little points and lost heaps of dollars. Traded to Bont with 8 trades left and 2 boosts to finish the season.
    T/U Good idea
    T/D Bad idea

    8

    1
  84. 7 trades left and I’m done with English and Bevo..

    TU: Stewart/ English > Pruess/ Sicily

I could go Nank or Darcy but Pruess has proven he scores as well as them just needs a clear run at it.. leaves extra $ for last upgrade

TD: hold trades.. Field Parnell in defence and donut in ruck

    3

    2
  85. I only have 2 trades left.

Don’t want to trade but. I have SDK sitting at D7 and Curtis covering English at F6. I would rather SDK at F6. I also have Preuss currently at R3 and 35K in bank.

Should I trade a cheap DP or save a trade?

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

    0

    7
    1. If you have a DM and MF on your bench you can trade your players out and back into the position you want them in and it won’t cost you a trade

      1

      0
  86. Trades in hand so can afford to be a bit cute. With the plan to probably move them to English/Libba at F6 in the next week or two..

    TU – Goldstein
    TD – J Cameron (v NTH)

    Cheers!
