Nah, Nick. Saints are super tight and restrictive atm.
No DEF gone above 30 touches v them and Port’s HBs today scored 80, 70 and 50.
They’re a far cry from last year.
As for Roberts -> Whitfield in general, I think it’s too reactive. GWS’ fixture tightens up and remains to be seen whether Roberts and Bice chop wing and HB again.
Just wait, get your CG right and prepare for upgrades.
So far this is one of the worst premo crops in years, other than Whitfield/Sinclair I don’t see anyone worth upgrading to. Might be worth it to just focus on cash gen for now.
the tag has certainly made this year tough for the premiums.
its still all about Return on investment. if you are buying Sinclair and Whitfield you are paying top dollar and no real value. I’d be looking at players who have had a couple of poor scores (especially for no fault of their own) and wait for them to bottom out – Serong, Daicos, Neale, Heeney, Cripps, Laird, Ryan etc
give it another week of rookie upgrade and then pick the eyes out of the premiums, especially if we get some nice DPP’s (Warner, Tracca or Laird)
I’ve already used 2 boosts so I’m only trading Freijah to Hall but with the cash left over, I could move Lynch up to Darcy. It feels a bit like point chasing but is it worth it?
TU: Yes, Lynch is doing nothing and Darcy could be a top 6-8 forward
TD: no, stay patient and wait for a spike game from Lynch to start cash gen
Bice scores 70 he goes up 70k.
Missed the first jump but going to jump on now, could get to 300k if he goes 100+
SPP to bice via Paton
Make 30k with this move
Operation GET BICE!!!
Yep I faded him for moraes as it fit my structure better going forward.. now I have to pay up 90k more for him but he will still make 200k from here. But well done to those who were smarter than me and got him this week.
Travaglia and hall look good shouts but I’m happy to pass on both, my cows are still fattening up if named.
I Will try back in Callaghan and rozee and prioritise getting rookies offield going forward. Rozee will stop getting tagged soon hopefully and Callaghan was hurt by DE%
Hall has gone up too much in money man, defeats the purpose in my opinion! Hold onto Callaghan he will come good when he isn’t tagged. And not sure on O’Driscoll’s injury timeline but if it’s 2 weeks or less i’d hold, he still has coin to make and is good points on field.
Trading in Freijah and picking Petracca has failed. Only rookies I don’t have are Travaglia and Hall. Have 250k ITB and Petracca is bleeding points in my mids but is a chance of fwd status soon
T/U: Trade Freijah and Petracca to premos
T/D: Hold Petracca and trade Freijah to a premo/rookie and correct another rookie like Knevitt to hall
In draft keeper league, looking to drop one of L.Scholl or B.Scott and pick up a mid on the waiver wire. The top choices available seem to be Acres, Peatling and Hill.
Given his scores this year I feel like I’m baiting myself into going with Acres based on his first good game, but his history suggests he’s the most reliable.
I feel like Peatling has a higher floor and a comparable ceiling. Maybe Blacres sneaks you an extra win with a huge score, but personally I’d take the better Peatling consistency out of those 5 players.
Didn’t see his game – has Freijah had a role change or just been down on form the past 2 weeks?
Is it worth holding for 1 more or trading up now with his 115 BE?
Will have $683K to spend if i trade, don’t particularly want to pay through the nose for Sinclair or Whitfield atm.
Put up a post previously regarding this, however keen to get some more input. Would you bring in Lachie Whitfield this week if the only way was through Matt Roberts?
Whitfield looks to be a top 3 defender and will soon be out of reach (670k). Ultra consistent and a proven Uber premium.
I’m not sure Roberts is a keeper however I do acknowledge he still probably has some more money to make, however Whitfield is only going to rise in cash too which makes it difficult.
Whitfield is going great and probably will be a top 6 defender, but he is also expensive and it is only round 4. History tells us that expensive players are likely to drop in price at some time during the season. Even if you don’t think that, and he is a ‘get now or never’, his return on investment means he will need to average 120pts for the rest of the season to be a good pick. (same with Sinclair and Zorko, who is now $620k will need to average 123).
There are other potential other top 6 defenders to look at who, even though they might not average as much as the other big 3, their return on investment will be much greater.
remember that this years prices are understated by about 4% compared to other years, so Whitfield is an old value of $631,200 and players like Sinclair are now the same as a $665,200 player last year.
I’m still looking at Stewart in a few weeks, and possible Laird once he has DPP. Flanders could be $550k in 3 weeks. there is also the chance that Mills gets back to his premium scoring.
Appreciate it Derek. Personally I’m not sure I’m prepared to take a punt on someone like a Stewart myself, body is a concern and still remains a tag risk. Completely understand those who are wanting to jump on at a cheap price. I definitely want Whitfield in as I think he will be a top 3 defender, however I might wait a week and hold Roberts and try to get a rookie off the field first. Perhaps makes a little more sense to do things that way..
Thinking Freijah is not going to turn out how I wanted and need to offload him before he starts losing money and with Stone looking like he won’t be making much more money I’m thinking the following:
Freijah to O’Sullivan
Stone to Maric
TU: Good trades
TD: Bad trades, boat has sailed get rookies that haven’t popped yet
There wasn’t much love when I brought him in for his 81 pointer in R3!
Bit better this week though. Hopefully he’ll tick along with a bit of consistency for a while, as there’s other fires at the moment.
Have to trade out friejah. Don’t have anyone else that I’d like to move on so only planning on making yhe one trade this week. Due to lack of dpp and cash I can really only downgrade to a defensive rookie. Was thinking maybe travaglia prior or maybe even el hawli as the rest of my defensive rookies are going well. None of these look real appealing and any thoughts would be appreciated.
TD- travaglia
TU- Prior
Comment- el hawli or other option
Brayshaw and Libba pretty strong, then obviously both pairs at Brisbane and Gold Coast.
If the nub of your questions is who you should trade in (possibly replacing Day?), I don’t really like any MIDs rn on price and fixture. There’s no one screaming to be picked. Dawson’s been pretty well looked after imo.
Maybe Zerrett? Good next two games, huge work rate – but Essendon are useless.
Unless your hand is forced, I’d be working on other lines and waiting for Bont, Butters and Daicos tbh.
I’d be leaning towards Zerrett but already have Neale and he’s obviously going to be good. I think Green just doesn’t have the consistency of the other two (I realise I say this after Neale has crapoed the bed twice in four games)
Nick. I’m sorry, mate, but you need to stop spreading misinformation with your questions.
Just in this thread you’e said the Saints are great for opp DEF scoring (wrong), Whitfield is going to be 670k soon (wrong) and now that Rankine “spent majority of the time forward and hardly scored at all” (also wrong).
Rankine played full time MID, 20 CBAs, 18/21 contested and a heat map only lit up in the middle of the ground – identical to the role he’s had so far. His issue, in terms of scoring, was his DE (71%) and 7 clangers.
At present he has a corked calf and bleeding, so I also don’t know why you’re bringing up his soft tissue profile.
Appreciate your engagement on the site but you’ve got to stop couching your comments in clear falsehoods dressed up as fact just to justify the trades you want to make.
It’s alarmist and incorrect.
If you don’t know something, just ask. There’s some great footy IQ and supporter bases on the site.
First of all mate, for the past 12-24 months if you have been following the trends, the saints have given up consistently a large amount of points to defenders.. especially to players of the calibre of someone like Lachie Whitfield himself. I also corrected myself on the same thread and clarified that he would soon be 650k*, as I’m sure you would’ve seen. I don’t see how this is ‘falsehood’ at all, it’s very realistic actually with the form he is in.
Did you watch the crows game last week? Rankine had 1 disposal in the last quarter and was clearly hampered by the knock he received to the calf, this was confirmed by Matthew Nicks himself. This isn’t just my opinion or me trying to justify a trade I want to make. Ideally, I don’t want to trade out Rankine at all, but I’m also a realist and understand some players come with higher risk profiles than others.
All good though mate, everyone is entitled to their opinion at the end of the day. All I was doing is asking the question, I’m sure there’s other coaches out there that would be sharing similar concerns. Have a good night!
Saints were easy to score against last year but not this year. No one on Geelong or Richmond (exceot for Nank) tonned up against them. No crazy defensive scores from Adelaide either. Burgoyne had been killing it for port off wing/half back and only got 41. There’s no real evidence this year that the saints are a good match up. Whitfield is good against every team so if you want him, go for it but using old data is not the way to justify it
Gunboat I feel like you maybe also need to take some of your own advice. Nick mentioned Rankine played fwd in 4th quarter (true) and didn’t touch the ball (true). His heat map wouldn’t reflect this because he didn’t touch the ball. Watching the games gives a much better sense of what’s going on rather than just looking at CBA’s and heat maps.
Correct, if you refer back to my post, I did specifically mention that Rankine struggled and didn’t score much in the last quarter (correct). I didn’t state this was the case throughout the whole game. Great point too regarding his heat map, there’s not much to display if he only had 1 disposal..
Wouldn’t be using a boost to get rid of Rankine when he’s only doubtful at this stage and I can’t see any legitimate source saying he’ll be out long term
I agree Johnno. I wouldn’t use a boost to boot Rankine… or a trade. He is sure to be a top forward this year. Don’t overreact guys as it is only round 5.
Rankine received a knock and if he gets through the Captain’s run he will play. If he doesn’t it should only be for one week.
Grant…Wifh Crouch out Peatling got his chance and took it…Crouch expected to return so this could impact Peatling like previous rounds…Fella can play but his scoring will depend on the role given by Coach Nicks..Has played a tick over 50% forward so is likely to get Mid Forward DPP.
Maybe some people think Clay Hall isn’t safe or SPP should be held? I personally think it’s a very good trade but I’m just thinking of why to not do that
36 trades and 5 boosts remaining. Have to move Day and I think Callaghan’s scoring might be compromised now that Green is back. Subject to NOD’s injury report, thinking:
Out – Day, Callaghan, NOD
In – Sam Darcy, Serong, Hall
TU – do it.
TD – keep faith in Callaghan and save the trade (no Serong).
Not sure what to do with NOD, who’s currently my flex
He’s out for a while, but I don’t know who to trade him to? I’ve currently got $145k ITB, but there’s no one stable enough within $445k, and I don’t know any cheaper players to trade him to that have good JS.
If Tsatas and/or Lindsay come back this week, should I
TU: Switch Tsatas or Lindsay to the flex and hold NOD on the mid bench until he comes back/gather enough ITB to upgrade or a good rookie to downgrade
TD: Trade him now
If TD, who are best options within $454k? (I have Callaghan, Baz and Daniel)
Tsatas & Lindsay likely return this week. I’d make one of them flex and potentially downgrade NOD to a Hall type for some cash gen and look at a double upgrade next week?
I’m in the same boat but am going to offload Henderson for Hall along with NOD to get me to Cerra, Soligo, Warner or LDU. Otherwise, take the cash from trading NOD only, as it’s looking likely that both Lindsay and Tsatas will play. You’ll then have a bucket load of cash for another upgrade.
Fair bit of carnage for me this week. Day & NOD out for significant periods and just trades. Rankine now due to miss a week. Freijah underperforming with high BE and FOS not getting a game.
Trades so far:
Day > Soligo
NOD > Hall
Unsure of my next trade, I have $460k in the bank so can go hard.
TU: Hold Freijah and hope he scores well, trade FOS to Whitfield/Sinclair
TD: Trade Freijah to reduce cash loss & Hold FOS
Yeah I’m not too keen on him either mate, either way these trades it leaves me 140k for the downgrade. I’m tempted to go someone else with better JS. Will be waiting for teams to suss that out though.
Might cover my issue with Jackson L as R1.
Was running a risky strategy but was working until last week.
Really don’t want to trade him out then back in.
Both pretty much guaranteed top 6 barring injury. I’m personally going Whitfield. I feel like we will be able to get both of them at cheaper price. 640 a lot to pay for Sinclair. I feel more comfortable paying 605 for whit!
Still lots of moving parts at Saints with Steele out last couple of games, Windy getting lots of midfield time because of his tagging and Phillipou to come into team at some stage.
Thoughts. I missed Bice, but he is still so cheap. I’m thinking Roberts to Bice, as Bice appears to almost be favoured to take that downfield kick that Roberts used to. It raises enough money for NOD to any premo mid I want, and $148k
NOD – Travaglia seems reasonable but what about Freijah – to either Ash, Himmelberg, Soiligo, Hogan, Greene, or Darcy? Or just bank the 141K?
Leaning toward taking the advice of the good Father Douglas and holding the mid-pricers for now.
But tempted by Ash, Himmelberg and Darcy a bit.
Trying to work out what to do with Action Jackson who is scarily one of my biggest point of difference players. I haven’t ruled out holding him but want to know what the chances of S Darcy or Thilthorpe becoming Ruck/Forward DPP after the first re-alignment. And also when is the first position adjustment – is after R6? Please advise…
Personally holding Jacko, hoping the hamstring injury is on the minor side (maybe a 1-2 week absence instead of the standard 21 day rehab). My bigger issues were NOD, Flynn and the trap Freijah.
TU : OUT – Freijah & NOD, IN – Whitfield & Dudley
OR Hold Freijah even with predicted price drop (and I do still have Short) and
OUT – NOD & Stone, IN – Clay Hall & Dudley
Been watching Thilthorpe Vs Darcy and like that Thilthorpe has been rucking a bit.
Get the feeling that Darcy has burst out of the stalls, but Thilthorpe will be better long term. $60K difference now.
What chances of Thilthorpe getting ruck/ forward status and I haven’t watched Doggies games- can Darcy maintain his form- I’m thinking dogs may drop a little.
Hey everyone. I was just wondering, especially from west coast fans, whether it’s worth trading a low scoring rookie (Stone/hewett) for Hall?
TU- Yes
TD- No save a trade
Is it too late to bring in Ryan Maric? Was going to grab him last week but had other issues. Projection has him increasing by $41.4K this week. His M/F would be handy. Unsure of his JS?
TU : Trade him in
TD : Pass, find a cheaper rookie.
NOD is out for 4-6, Callaghan is playing and if you sell now, you lock in the price loss while holding for another spike game could be worthwhile. Easy TD for mine
JJ what about NOD to Travaglia and then Short to Whitfield if you still wanted to ? Or just the one trade,
You have Trainor on the bench down back who has scored 90 & 82 the last two weeks and I will bet you would play him ahead of a couple of your mid rookies which this would allow you to do ?
I did exactly this except I did not have NOD as flex, but it allowed me to swing Holmes in the midfield and play Trainor with Travaglia on the bench down back
Callahan not what I expected after 1 poor week already, trade up to Tom.Green or down to J.Dawson thanks
Zerrett
Yep. Great shout from Dubsy. Love Zezz and his upcoming run.
I’m still smarting from jhf to Baz, and losing my 1pt. I’m holding Callaghan
I made the exact same trade….. bound to happen that JHF would ton up bigtime………..
Sorry not sorry Wighty. Chance for payback this week in another of our leagues.
Callaghan
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
You can bet Ross is a vindictive cunt and is going to tag Finn and show him that he should have came..
Green maybe but not Finn!
Playing for overall
Roberts to Whitfield in 1 trade?
Hard to say whether or not Bice had an effect on Roberts or not. Whitfield also has the saints this week who leak massively to defenders.
Tu or Td
Stewart at 400k soon, Ryan also an option.
Appreciate the input, however as a non Whitfield owner I’m definitely trying to find a way to get him in sooner rather than later!
Too late to go for Maric?
Tu: Yes
Td: No
Short to Maric allows me $100k to get Paton up to Travaglia
Traded JHF to bazlenka which is a killer.
This week i think I’ll go freijah to bice which will leave me around 300k not sure on my other trade/trades I’d prefer not to boost
Baz was gone. Did anyone see jhf score coming ?
Baz was fine !!!!
Satan to Soligo?
TU or TD?
Trading out Rozee.
TU – Neale
TD – Daicos
Can’t go Daicos into Jordon.
should i consider merrett?
That has merit !!!
Probably only 2 trades this week
In – Bice and Miller
Out – Knevitt / Tsatas and Sanders
Trying to get those non scoring non playing rookies off the field.
Leaves me with $131,900 ITB
Tsatas should be back this week and you held him through the games missed so there’s no point cutting him now
Caldwell out and Dons good MID fixture too.
Better downgrade option?
Tu: Clay Hall
Td: Dudley
Freijah and Callaghan looking like a failed experiment. Have some cash in the kitty, so am thinking these two out and these guys in
TU: Whitfield and LDU
TD: Tom Stewart and Lachie Neale
Comment: just get Whitfield and give Callaghan another week/find another combination of players
TU: just trade Freijah to Whitfield this week and give Callaghan another chance
TD: trade the two players out but find some another combination to bring in
So far this is one of the worst premo crops in years, other than Whitfield/Sinclair I don’t see anyone worth upgrading to. Might be worth it to just focus on cash gen for now.
the tag has certainly made this year tough for the premiums.

Would be Clay Hall yes?
NOD and Humphrey to Hall and Darcy
Trading in Freijah and picking Petracca has failed. Only rookies I don’t have are Travaglia and Hall. Have 250k ITB and Petracca is bleeding points in my mids but is a chance of fwd status soon
T/U: Trade Freijah and Petracca to premos
T/D: Hold Petracca and trade Freijah to a premo/rookie and correct another rookie like Knevitt to hall
(35 trades and 4 boosts left)
What do we think of Tom Stewart:
TU – back to somewhere near his best. Potentially avg 105+
TD – last year was a blueprint, defensive fwds will be used and he’ll struggle to avg 90
Stewart is top 6
In: L.Whitfield, S.El-Hawli
Out: J.Freijah, M.Knevitt
Thought?
In draft keeper league, looking to drop one of L.Scholl or B.Scott and pick up a mid on the waiver wire. The top choices available seem to be Acres, Peatling and Hill.
Given his scores this year I feel like I’m baiting myself into going with Acres based on his first good game, but his history suggests he’s the most reliable.
Am I making the wrong call?
I feel like Peatling has a higher floor and a comparable ceiling. Maybe Blacres sneaks you an extra win with a huge score, but personally I’d take the better Peatling consistency out of those 5 players.
Acres this week for the match up
Touk Miller T/U
Noah Anderson T/D
I have Callaghan & Rozee.
TU – Trade Both, bring in Hall & Merrett
TD – Hold both for one more week
I have both and I am holding as soon as we trade them out they will get a good score. Better to focus on rookies for cash gen.
I am playing mainly for league wins my opponents have both Freijah and Rozee so see what happens there
Trading Freijah and Rozee this week.
TU – Rioli & Clay Hall
TD – Dawson & Travaglia
Comment other premo options
Looking at Daicos but will hold off until Jordon tag is out of price cycle
I have to trade out Will Day too. 3 sideways trades is annoying this time of year but worth it.
TU – Dawson, Rioli, Tsatas
TD – Whitfield, Petracca (FWD status after this week, C. Hall
TU: Allan, Day > Brock, Dawson
TD: Hold
TU Tom Green
TD Merrett
Luke Jackson injured and Sean Darcy coming back into the side, swap to:
TU: TDK
TD: Gawn
i see Flynn has been playing well in the seconds
Trading out Freijah to Baz and Conor Stone to Clay Hall.
From left field…
Roberts to Bice
NOD to Merritt
Leaves 143.7 itb plus I still get lots of Bice cash to come.
T/u Brilliant !!!
T/d You idiot !!!!
Comment, Dunks or anyone else about that price…have Neale.
Hmmmmmm….this is not helping !!!!
Isaiah Dudley. JS looking ok for a few weeks?
TU: Yes
TD: No
Sideways trade –
Out: Nick Martin
In: Whitfield
T/U Big yes
T/D Noooooo
Didn’t see his game – has Freijah had a role change or just been down on form the past 2 weeks?
Is it worth holding for 1 more or trading up now with his 115 BE?
Will have $683K to spend if i trade, don’t particularly want to pay through the nose for Sinclair or Whitfield atm.
TU – NWM
TD – Clark/Ryan
I was at game Sunday and Freijah seems to be a spare parts role now, all over the shop, plus looks like he may be carrying a niggle.
Made the Moraes over Bice mistake. Bice still probably conservatively has $100k+ to make despite the big jump. Thoughts on this?
OUT: Freijah + O’Driscoll
IN: Zerrett + Bice
TU: Worth the move. Do it
TD: Don’t do it. Too late on Bice
Want to trade in Clay hall for an underperforming rookie. Which of these has less upside to trade out now?
TU: Knevitt (out of best 23?)
TD: E Hewett (injury prone)
What to do with Rozee
TU – use my 100k banked and trade to Merrett
TD – hold him and cop his price drop, focus on rookies
Having traded JHF last week, its an easy decision !!!
TU – Clay Hall
TD – Tobie Travaglia
Put up a post previously regarding this, however keen to get some more input. Would you bring in Lachie Whitfield this week if the only way was through Matt Roberts?

Hey Derek great read and insight. Don’t know how you worked it out but thanks for sharing. Food for thought!
Draft related, who averages more as a fwd?
Tu; Bailey humprhey
Td; Peatling
Do you think Connor O’Sullivan can make $100,000 from here ?
Tu – Yes
Td – No

TD: NOD & Leake >> W.Ashcroft & Hall
NOD Short > Tastas Serong
TU Good Trades
TD Bad Trades
TU Serong
TD Zerett
Who goes first?
TU: Rozee
TD: Richards
Already planning Short – Whitfield and NOD – Hall. Plans could change if NOD is named.
4 boosts remaining.
No love 4 Bailey dale
There wasn’t much love when I brought him in for his 81 pointer in R3!
Bit better this week though. Hopefully he’ll tick along with a bit of consistency for a while, as there’s other fires at the moment.
Need to upgrade NOD and only have $553k ITB. Lower end premiums to consider in the midfield?

I also have freijah and want to move him on but I also think I want Stewart next week so he might survive one more week in my team sadly
Might actually go with that to looks a better option wasn’t keen at all on the rookies this week. Gotta pray friejah doesn’t pull another 50
Day (RIP) > Zerrett
NOD > C. Hall
Top 3 Premo Mids right now?
Ugh. Such a tricky question, Jack.
Brayshaw and Libba pretty strong, then obviously both pairs at Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Unless your hand is forced, I’d be working on other lines and waiting for Bont, Butters and Daicos tbh.
yeah i was looking to set and forget a mid 1-10 as my other lines are full but don’t wanna pay for like a daicos who could drop another 50k?
Neale, T Greene and Zerrett?
I’d be leaning towards Zerrett but already have Neale and he’s obviously going to be good. I think Green just doesn’t have the consistency of the other two (I realise I say this after Neale has crapoed the bed twice in four games)
Not good news about Will Day. Shame for him.
Who would be the best replacement upto $580k?

If price wasn’t an issue, would the preference be Serong over all the above? (already have Brayshaw)
Izak Rankine reported to be a doubt this week.
If he misses, who is the best replacement?
Can get any player I want as I will use DPP to open up my flex position.
Tu: Whitfield
Td: Gawn
Hold him bud
Further to my previous question..
Rankine did look restricted during the last qtr of last weeks game with his calf, spent majority of the time forward and hardly scored at all.
Doubtful this week, however if he does play would you still consider trading him with his soft tissue injury past?
Tu; Only trade if he misses
Td; Trade regardless as the calf issue very may well restrict him moving forward
I also wouldn’t trade Rankine if I had him though, was just a cork
Correct, if you refer back to my post, I did specifically mention that Rankine struggled and didn’t score much in the last quarter (correct). I didn’t state this was the case throughout the whole game. Great point too regarding his heat map, there’s not much to display if he only had 1 disposal..
every time Rankine touched it in last quarter he tried to take on the tackle and was caught holding the ball.
Glad I don’t have him atm
He gave away 1 free only in the last quarter
Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story
Izak Rankine not only plays good footy but the dude can sing and play guitar pretty good too
Supercoach carnage. No Luke Jackson, Rankine and NOS. Should I swap to Sam Darcy, Bailey Smith and JHF.
TU – Good decision
TD – Hold
Nope Mick is Mick. 😉
Good luck with whatever you decide.
Please trade ranking out I want to move up the rankings. I’m also sorry for being a ranker.
Is Mick Nick?
Wasn’t planning on trading this week but NOD out 4-6 will hurt a lot of coaches!
We are really lacking good rookies this week IMO
Thinking NOD -> Travaglia
TU – Yes, go for it!
TD – No, trade NOD to someone else.
Cheers legends!
Nod to Peatling
Tu
Td
Grant…Wifh Crouch out Peatling got his chance and took it…Crouch expected to return so this could impact Peatling like previous rounds…Fella can play but his scoring will depend on the role given by Coach Nicks..Has played a tick over 50% forward so is likely to get Mid Forward DPP.
Nod replacement
tu: Tsatas
td: Travaglia
Or Knevitt who looks to be back this week
Will make this easier
TU – Knevitt
TD – Tsatas
Or neither…
My question earlier was a 50/50 but with NOD out a while shall I do:
TU: NOD to C Hall
TD: Freijah and NOD to Zerrett and C Hall
NOD and Freijah to C. Hall and Wanganeen-Milera
TU
TD
TU: Dale and Tom Green
TD: Whitfield and Will Ashcroft.
Cheers in advance
Hi guys,
TU nod to humphrey
TD someone else…
Thanks
TU- Brayshaw
TD- Dunkley
What’s C Hall’s JS like?
hall played a couple of weeks ago when Graham was out and then dropped with Graham back in
last week graham played, but it was Harley reid who went to defence and gave Hall a run in the guts.
it might be dependent on the Reid experiment in defense continuing
Also thinking about bringing in Jake Soligo
Yes
No?
as atop 8 midfielder? not seeing that
SPP NOD > Bailey Smith Clay Hall
TU Good Trades
TD Bad Trades
Why would these be bad trades – could anyone help explain?
Maybe some people think Clay Hall isn’t safe or SPP should be held? I personally think it’s a very good trade but I’m just thinking of why to not do that
SPP has plenty of cash still to make
TU: Soligo
TD: W. Ashcroft
Better Job Security:
TU: Travaglia
TD: Clay Hall
Don’t care about scoring, just job security
Zac Dawson
NOD and stone > Smith and hall
Smith helps me cover if rankine misses this week and better on field rookie options in the mids. When all on the park Humphrey would be my F6.
Tu or td
36 trades and 5 boosts remaining. Have to move Day and I think Callaghan’s scoring might be compromised now that Green is back. Subject to NOD’s injury report, thinking:
Out – Day, Callaghan, NOD
In – Sam Darcy, Serong, Hall
TU – do it.
TD – keep faith in Callaghan and save the trade (no Serong).
Pull that trigger bro! And you could go a cheaper version of Darcy in Tilthorpe. Same type of player in all aspects and 60K cheaper
TU NOD Short > Tsatas Serong
TD NOD short > Tsatas Baz
TU-Hall
TD-Tsatas
NOD>Josh Ward
Has scored 90+ 3 times now, 11k more than NOD
could be a play for cash gen
Worpel will be back this week. not sure he will be a regular 90 scoer
No Will Day? so i believe the worpel factor won’t matter
Do you keep SDK or trade him to Holmes.
Having trouble with the battle of he sub 600k
T/U Neale
T/D Serong
Thanks coaches
TU – NOD to Smith, straight upgrade
TD – NOD to Hall, $426k itb for upgrades over the next few weeks once cash cows have fattened
TU: Tilthorpe
TD: Baz Smith
Yeah yeah i didnt get Baz at the start but geez watching Tilthorpe play, he is a beast. Also does ruck contests so which one to choose
Freijah replacement –
TU – Whitfield
TD – B Dale
If you’re willing to take a risk on a POD, Thilthorpe is $442k. Otherwise I think Tippy’s idea makes a lot of sense
Thilthorpe
Kennedy WBD. Averaging 99, dpp, great pod, rarely misses. R12 bye only negative.
Thinking for this week
Short -> Whitfield
NOD -> Clay Hall
i was thinking the exact same trades
only hesitation is that Whitfield is expensive and won’t leave much in the bank for other upgrades next week
Thinking for this week
Short -> Whitfield
NOD -> Clay Hall
I’m not sold on Hall’s JS. I’d almost be tempted to park NOD on bench for a week and see how Tom Gross goes in his 2nd game
Yeah I’m not too keen on him either mate, either way these trades it leaves me 140k for the downgrade. I’m tempted to go someone else with better JS. Will be waiting for teams to suss that out though.
Hey
Trade -Nod,Flynn,Rozee
To- Hall,Gawn, Soligo.
Y,
N,
Flynn could play this week. most likely
Might cover my issue with Jackson L as R1.
Was running a risky strategy but was working until last week.
Really don’t want to trade him out then back in.
Need a defender, T/U. Whitfield or T/D Sinclair
Both pretty much guaranteed top 6 barring injury. I’m personally going Whitfield. I feel like we will be able to get both of them at cheaper price. 640 a lot to pay for Sinclair. I feel more comfortable paying 605 for whit!
I’m going Whitfield
Cheaper
We know his role
Still lots of moving parts at Saints with Steele out last couple of games, Windy getting lots of midfield time because of his tagging and Phillipou to come into team at some stage.
I think Whitfield this round is easier option
TU NOD Short > Hall Whitfield
TD NOD SPP > Hall Smith
Freijah and NOD to Whitfield and Maric
TU: Tilthorpe
TD: Kennedy
Thoughts. I missed Bice, but he is still so cheap. I’m thinking Roberts to Bice, as Bice appears to almost be favoured to take that downfield kick that Roberts used to. It raises enough money for NOD to any premo mid I want, and $148k
T/U Genius
T/D Craziness
The good father covers this from both the nice and the roberts side in his cow piece…
Have to trade out Day.
Tu; Dawson
Td; Washcroft
Thanks!
O’Driscoll to:
TU: Soligo
TD: Merrett
Thoughts on Luke Ryan at a 70k discount?
TU – was just a bad patch, good pod
TD – role has changed
Comment if you have a better sub 600k suggestion
Like him into Tiges this week.
What is the better trade
T/u camporeale to clay hall
T/d hewett to Dudley
Can do both but would have to use a boost T/u use boost
T/d not worth it
NOD – Travaglia seems reasonable but what about Freijah – to either Ash, Himmelberg, Soiligo, Hogan, Greene, or Darcy? Or just bank the 141K?
Leaning toward taking the advice of the good Father Douglas and holding the mid-pricers for now.
But tempted by Ash, Himmelberg and Darcy a bit.
In for NOD as FLEX (with $145k ITB before trading)
TU: Hall or Travaglia (adding another 130-180k ITB)
TD: Tilthorpe or Kennedy (average 105 and 99 currently)
Need a replacement for Day (already have serong):
Tu: Brayshaw
Td: Merrett
Comment: Dunkley
Tu: Dunkley
Td: other
Well, safe to say this has not helped :/
Trying to work out what to do with Action Jackson who is scarily one of my biggest point of difference players. I haven’t ruled out holding him but want to know what the chances of S Darcy or Thilthorpe becoming Ruck/Forward DPP after the first re-alignment. And also when is the first position adjustment – is after R6? Please advise…
Personally holding Jacko, hoping the hamstring injury is on the minor side (maybe a 1-2 week absence instead of the standard 21 day rehab). My bigger issues were NOD, Flynn and the trap Freijah.
Better JS?
TU: T.Gross
TD: C.Cleary
Reversed my second boost last round to loop in Bices score. Pulling the trigger this week for ……
Short to Whitfield
NOD to Merret
Rozee to Hall/Tsatas
I’m not really concerned about their prices. Playing for overall and currently doing ok.
TU: Good
TD: Bad
Thoughts appreciated.
Rozee 150 incoming! 🙂
2 options I’m throwing around this week
TU : OUT – Freijah & NOD, IN – Whitfield & Dudley
OR Hold Freijah even with predicted price drop (and I do still have Short) and
OUT – NOD & Stone, IN – Clay Hall & Dudley
Upgrade Freijah to NWM TU
or
Downgrade Freijah to Bice TD
I think Bice is a must-have, even if you missed the first price rise. NVM and other premos can wait.
Hi all, tricky times….
TU W ashcroft
TD Soligo….
Thanks
Who to bring in:
TU: Hall
TD: Travaglia (better job security)
Also have Hewett and Allan from the eagles so be hesitant on Hall
Given the apparent state of things.Rucks not scoring well, taggers etc.
TU- Just use defenders as V/VC from now on(sheez, zorko,Whit, sinc)
TD-Will miss out on to many good scores.
Thinking of doing something a bit different
Day, NOD > Maric, Briggs (at flex)
Good idea or nah?
Tossing up between the safe bet of
T/u will day to dawson
Or a couple of high risk high reward moves (mainly to get sdk out of my team):
t/d day to petracca (with the assumption I move him forward in next few weeks) and sdk to tom stewart
O Driscoll to
TD Thilthorpe via DPP
TU Darcy via DPP
If you had to get 1 this week
TU Zerett

Okay, here goes. Would mean I’ve used 3 boosts already, but solves a few problems straight away and uses spare cash to upgrade.
OUT: Day, NOD, Freijah
IN: Whitfield, Zerrett & C Hall
TU: Do It
TD: Don’t
SDK trade to Holmes..good move or wasted trade.
Good move..Thumbs up
Bad move..Thumbs down.
Trading out Day, NOD & Friejah.
Which of these options?
TU: Whitfield, Zerrett & C Hall
TD: Whitfield, Soligo & Bice (I missed the boat last week)
Hi all,
TU TDK NOD to Dudley Serong via dpp
TD NOD L ashcroft to Hall Will ashcroft…..

Yay or Nay
Been watching Thilthorpe Vs Darcy and like that Thilthorpe has been rucking a bit.
Get the feeling that Darcy has burst out of the stalls, but Thilthorpe will be better long term. $60K difference now.
What chances of Thilthorpe getting ruck/ forward status and I haven’t watched Doggies games- can Darcy maintain his form- I’m thinking dogs may drop a little.
TU- Thilthorpe
TD- Darcy
Hey everyone. I was just wondering, especially from west coast fans, whether it’s worth trading a low scoring rookie (Stone/hewett) for Hall?
TU- Yes
TD- No save a trade
is it too late to get Levi Ashcroft?
NOD >> Levi (puts $60k in bank)
No sold of Hall’s JS
I like the scoring ability of Levi now we are in best 22. Plus he will get Forward status next week.
Ive forgotten why he had such a low score in round 3 against Geelong, anyone remember.
It’s not the worst trade, obviously has excellent JS and not too many rookies coming through, unless El-Hawli gets a non sub go at it
Trade out
TU – E Hewett
TD – Stone
Is it too late to bring in Ryan Maric? Was going to grab him last week but had other issues. Projection has him increasing by $41.4K this week. His M/F would be handy. Unsure of his JS?
TU : Trade him in
TD : Pass, find a cheaper rookie.

I’m still liking Callaghan. Good teams accumulate more points and GWS are going to be up there you’d think
NOD is out for 4-6, Callaghan is playing and if you sell now, you lock in the price loss while holding for another spike game could be worthwhile. Easy TD for mine

For first- which rookie
TU – Hall
TD – Dudley
JJ what about NOD to Travaglia and then Short to Whitfield if you still wanted to ? Or just the one trade,
You have Trainor on the bench down back who has scored 90 & 82 the last two weeks and I will bet you would play him ahead of a couple of your mid rookies which this would allow you to do ?
I did exactly this except I did not have NOD as flex, but it allowed me to swing Holmes in the midfield and play Trainor with Travaglia on the bench down back
TU – NWM & $60k ITB
TD – Whitfield & no cash
Do you take Bailey Smith 105 i’m thinking Whitfield or your views who should be captain cheers. TU- Smith TD-Whitfield
