Game Chat – GWS v St Kilda

Written by Thommo on July 12 2015

This game will shed light on how good these teams really are. St Kilda looks to be improving as the season advances, breaking records with their crushing of the Bombers last week, but is that a tick for the Saints or an indictment of where Essendon is at? Meanwhile the Giants have struggled to cope with the loss of their backline but they showed a lot of fight against the Tigers at the MCG last week.

With both sides relying on undersized backlines and sporting strong midfields and forward lines, this could become a shoot-out at Spotless. Let’s hope the predicted showers hold off.

Congratulations to Sam Gilbert for his perseverance inย reaching 150 games after multiple injury setbacks.

Thommo’s tip: GWS by 8 points.

  1. Looking for some help guys,

If I have H.Shaw and Hamling (didn’t play) both selected as my emergencies, will supercoach register the score of zero for Hamling despite him not playing? or will H.Shaws score count?
(vc loophole for Goldy – McKenzie)

The other option is just to keep Fyfe as Captain, but Goldy’s 145 is quite enticing…

    Cheers

  2. Captaincy help:
A single point ahead in a paid league but, one less player to so thinking I may have to choose a different captain to my opponent also having Fyfe as captain.
    Choices are Ward, Beams, JPK and Hannebery, but I think it really comes down to a choice of two;
    TU: Hannebery
    TD: Beams
    Comment for Ward or JPK.

  3. Hey guys, a similar question to SupaStarStatus, a little behind against my opponents in my leagues (between 100 – 150 for most of them on average) with 4 out of 5 having Fyfe as Captain, and additionally most of my opponents have 1 or 2 more guys to play than me in uniques. So, I might have to roll the dice with a unique captain with choices of JPK, Hannebery, Hodge as my main options at this stage.

    T/U – Roll the dice with Hannebery/JPK/Hodge
T/D – Stick with Fyfe, might get over the lines with my remaining unique players

Either way, I should remain in the top 4 regardless of the results this weekend, but would love your thoughts guys, cheers ๐Ÿ™‚
