Game Chat – Hawthorn v Richmond

Written by Thommo on July 31 2015

With the media shoving the fact down our throats every second day, we should all know the Hawks are flying by now. Eight straight wins has them as premiership favourites despite West Coast and Fremantle keeping a firm grip on theย top two spots.

So can Richmond match it with the Hawks?ย Although they snatched loss from the jaws of victory last week (as only Richmond can), they are playing great football and are still a chance to jump an ailing Sydney into the top four. When there are no expectations on the team Richmond win, when they are favourites they struggle. So based on that, expect the Tigers to surprise us all and upset Hawthorn…..not that I’m tipping against the Hawks!

Thommo’s tip: Hawthorn by 30 points.

  2. Should I punt big Ivan for Max Gawn?

Have 5 trades currently and still require 1 upgrade in either defense or mid.

Pull the trigger or hold trades for injuries in finals? I have reasonable cover with Steele/Krak/McKenize/Daniel

  3. Hey guys 6 trades left

I’m 8th in one of my leagues with 3 other guys on the same amount of points and another one, a game below me; suffice to say I need to win, and win big to guarantee a spot because of the guys right on my tail.

Should I spend one on Eski to get in James Kelly, or hold?

    T/U Trade pls
    T/D Hold, you moronic substance

  6. Umpires don’t know what to call this week. Decisions all over the place. They need to stop mid-season rule changes.

  8. Hawks have disgusting disposal tonight. Also I generally don’t buy the hype that the umpires have been ruining the game but I’m very confused tonight.
    What’s a 50m penalty? What’s reportable? What’s a duck and what’s a throw?

  9. FULL TIME

    Hawks 52 vs Tigers 71

The rest of the competition was ready to concede to Hawthorn, Sportsbet have already paid out Premiership tickets for them (in July!!), but the Tigers’ pressure over four quarters was enough to put any team off. Huge win (sorry for the biased report, very one-eyed) ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. Razor Ray’s umpiring tonight was horrific. Some baffling decisions. Time for a week in the VFL for Razor maybe.
