Game notes: Here we have two young sides on the rise, both coming off strong performances. The Saints dominated long stretches of the match against the Hawks in Tassie and did everything but defeat the reigning premiers while the Giants absolutely pulverised the Power in Canberra, setting all sorts of franchise records for scoring and winning margins.
For all St Kilda’s promise, GWS seems to have the superior list. The Giants are expected to push for finals this season while the Saints are probably a fair way off yet despite their recent improvement. With the inclusion of Jeremy Cameron and Devon Smith, expect the Giants to be too strong for the Saints even playing away from home.
Thommo’s tip: GWS by 18 points.
