  1. Very similar to you Anthony. Grundy(vc), Heeney, Lloyd with a 99 from Crisp to top it off.
Current rank of 15. Let’s hope the weekend continues with this feel and not the carnage vibe of selection.

  2. The good news: I brought Grundy into my TECHTeam and put the V on him 🙂
The bad news? I have 7/8 DEFs with the Rd13 bye!! 🙁

  3. Grundy on the VC – gonna loophole that.
Got in Lloyd for Duursma – happy days
    Heeney – serviceable

Hopefully the rest of the weekend plays out that well!

  4. Big VC on Grundy, take that and bank it! In 6 years I’ve only pulled the loophole about 3 times! This one is done and dusted!!!! At least something went right this round!

  5. 527/3/VC Grundy
    Grundy, Lloyd & Heeney
Given the donut and 5 rookies I needed Heeney to ton up.
Was a tough decision on who to put the C on to loop Grundy’s score but after a lot of deliberation I felt Bines consistency should be rewarded.
Apologies to Danger, Williams, Moore, Lycett, Setterfield, Drew, Scott & Hayes
    You were all worthy recipients

  6. 247 / 2 / vc Grundy.
Finally got the vc and c right for the first time this year. Taking Grundy’s score.
Couldn’t get the deal done with Lloyd this weekend. Not to concerned as he only just crept over his BE so shouldn’t rise in price too much.
Now for the cats to win tonight and I’ll be happy. Go cats!!!

  7. I think I may be the only one who hasn’t VC’d Grundy. Life got in the way and I forgot to check who was C and VC. In 10 leagues, out of those there are couple of random leagues where I’m playing a ghost ship or else someone unaware of how to use the captains loophole….even they had Grundy as captain!

But I should really stop complaining. Apart from that minor dilemma I’m on
    724/6/ Captain Gawn or Cripps
    Pretty happy with that!

  8. 1273/11/Vc Grundy
Cogs, Billings, Neale, Fyfe, Mumford, Oliver, Whitfield, Cripps, 2 rookies and a donut to go.
Round is looking pretty good so far 😉

  9. 1342/12/Grundy

Very happy so far considering I’ve got 2 premos + Moore benched, for whom rookies had to cover.

Rookies have been a godsend for me this round: tons from Baker, Atkins and Duursma have helped mitigate the damage of poor scores from Boak, Heeney, Bolton and Corbett. Rest of my premos doing their job. A ton from Darling also helps lol.

With Gawn, Oliver, Hore, Whitfield, J. Kelly, Fyfe, Cripps, Walsh, Hinge and Answerth left to play, I’m aiming for 2300.

  10. 1438 / 12 / Grundy

Finally having another decent round after 3-4 weeks of carnage…

If only Scrimshaw hadn’t gone down injured again could’ve been even higher.

Hoping the good times keep rolling tomorrow.

  11. Projected 2446. C is on Gawn. 1271/12

Big winners in Goldy Kelly Houli Dunkley and Baker. Lloyd still starring. Macrae a pass at 105.

      1. my back 6 is currently Lloyd, Whitfield Houli, Williams, Smith, Hore (Clark, Answorth)

Not sure what to do about Williams. Getting a straight answer about injuries seems impossible this year.

          1. I’m holding Williams and hoping he is at least back by R12/13 to help with the Byes. Anyone you trade him to will miss a week with the Byes anyway.

I may have bigger problems with Rocky looking at missing weeks. 🙁

Hopefully its only next week and his Bye R12.

I need as many fit player R13 as is humanly possible.

            1. Same predicament with Rocky.

Who’d have thunk we’d have brought him in pre-season?!?!?

Like you say FT … best laid plans!! 😉

              1

              0
              1. I started him 🙂

I always new he would cost me a trade, I’m just hoping he can somehow get me through the Byes.

My biggest regret is not backing in Mundy after his first two stinkers.

My first two ” correctional” trades for the year (R3) were..

Out Mundy and Hore. ( he was dropped that week)

                In T Kelly and Butters.

Mundy is 5th for overall scoring and Hore is now close to the best defensive rookie.

Butters was a flop and only made me $80K and I could of picked up T Kelly R4/5 for $40K under his starting price.

Not only would I be much higher in the rankings..

I would have a couple of extra trades too.

                Harsh lesson learn’t..

  12. 1350 / 11 + 2 donuts / Grundy VC included

Seeing as tho I am miles off the overall prize I finally decided to focus solely on league’s this week. Could have traded to 1 donut but I’m versing top of the ladder in my main league and didn’t wanna bring Young in after 1 game. Happy to cop a loss this we for future gain.

  13. 1652/ 14/ Grundy

Atkins, Baker and Duursma all scoring in excess of 100, Goldy and Sloane with 140’s, great performance from Lloyd on debut and B Smith, J Westhoff and C Burgess are the only ones below 80. P Dangerfield and Z Williams missing this week as well as D Moore and ROB traded pushing Burgess fwd and R Young on and will likely trade Constable to Macrae/Cripps next round.

S Walsh, R Young (new recruit), M Hore, L Whitfield, J Kelly, L Neale, C Oliver and N Fyfe still to play.

    1. 1654 / 15 / Grundy.

I wasn’t expecting too much with M Crouch,Williams, Danger and Moore riding the pine.

Huge scores from Grundy , Dunkley, Sloane and T kelly have helped.
A big shout out to Duursma and Baker for tons when I needed them the most. Both should be solid holds till their Byes now.

Gawn, Cripps, Whifield, Oliver, Walsh, Stocker and Answerth to come. I’m hoping for anything over 2200.

I have zero cover, so no late outs please!

      1. Sometimes forced trades are a good thing. Had to keep Duursma, Clark and ROB with more pressing issues elsewhere. Maybe there is an SC god somewhere.
        Also v happy with Baker!

Just need Parker to have a big one today and I’ll be wondering what I was worried about on Friday. Either way, will likely have to keep him for some time now.

Keep it up FT and ditto on the late-outs!

        1. Thanks Sainter.

I went ROB to lloyd. ( opened F/D DPP ) I just couldn’t have so much cash on my bench with so many Premo’s down.

This left me with only $4K so I could only downgrade Constable to avoid a donut. I thought long and hard about going early on Young or Hind but just couldn’t do it.

I ended up going late on Balta. ( R14 bye) He was $250K, but has rock solid JS and a BE of -33. With the 83 he scored, he has made me $55K in a week. If he can hold this form he will be great cover through the Byes, and should nearly make $150k by R14. I then plan on a straight swap to a Fallen Premo F6 / ruck cover.

          Lets hope it works out

I hope Freo and The Saints can snatch a win each. It would make for a great weekend.

Best of luck for a huge Sunday.

          1. Haha, I bought Balta in too. For Ross via a few DPPs.
On the news that Constable did his groin in the VFL (I’ve since heard it not too bad), I traded him via Setters to …

Toby freakin GREENE. So call me stupid 😉

It’s the sort of trade that will either ruin me or turn out to be a master stroke. Either way, my season is now on the line.

            Good luck today mate 🙂

            1. He he

              Good luck with that one..

I looked at Toby but the only way it possible was to miss Lloyd this week and risk a Cripps / Blakely type.

              That wasn’t going to happen!

I have the Cash to turn Drew into Greene next week. I think I will wait till R13 and look at R Gray for around the $400k mark.

              Best laid plans eh!

        2. Kept Clark and O’Brien too. Clark loophole emergency for 85 was nice.

Was 50/50 either way, between Young and Fort. If Hately was named that was the certainty.

ROB to Fort still next week for cash. If Danger, Hately and Fort all play next week I will be in a pickle.

          1. Yep, Clark a saviour for the second time this year.

That’s a monster projection HH, are you up and about this year? Haven’t seen you on SCT for a while that’s all …

    1. We must have similar teams AS…

      1467 / 12 / Grundy

Going well so far, but still so many to play. I have the wonder trio of Answerth, Gibbons and Lockhart to play today, if they manage 150 between them I’ll happily take it. Given I’ve got nearly $2.5million riding the pine this round, 2300 would be a freaking miracle!

    1. I hope those that we’re thinking Broadbent ignored the thumbs and did it anyway. Could be a decent money-earner and D6 for a while.

  16. 1402 /Grundy / 12 played

Can’t believe I put gibbons on field over Atkins with no way of looping! He’s E so late out my only chance of that tonne. Wouldve been a huge start otherwise. Only a couple scores below 100 so far, bring on the Sunday carnage!

    5

        1. I think so too. His last 2 scores have been made in 1 quarter of footy, so he has the potential. And Young is an unknown at this stage

          3

          0
          1. I’m really hoping Young can score (75+) this week.

This score will hold in his price cycle for the next few weeks and determine the speed of his growth.

It may actually cost me a few league wins this week as a few of my oppo’s have gone early.

I really don’t care, as I need him next week with a tasty
            – BE.

  19. 11/1365 Grundy 11 to play , looking at my highest score since my 2739 and a heartbreaking 5th ranked for a week last season , any guesses what the highest score will be ?

  20. 1609/14/Grundy
3 premos on the bench this week (Crouch, Williams and Danger) and looks like I’ll post my best score for the season. Strange game this one.

  21. Missed the Boat on c for t.kelly.

Who out of Neale(TU) or Fyfe(TD) would be the next safest?

Also have cripps/oliver but suspect they will cop the tag.

    1

    4
    1. I suspect Neale with cop a bit of attention, in his first game back in the west. I’m not sure it will faze him to much, It hasn’t really all year, but I voted for Fyfe anyway.

      Big game this..

Freo needs to keep winning these home games to have any sort of chance.
Brisbane need to start winning away, to stay around the eight.

Lets call it a ” line in the sand” game.

      Time to stand up boys..

Go Fyfe and Go Freo !!!!

      1. Hey Adam any stats on players who have left a club, first game v’s old club performance?

Will Neale prove a point or crumble under pressure?

By the stats on Cripps you posted maybe I should go Cripps, just have a feeling Neale will go Ballistic against the EGO!

        2

        0
  22. Bloody hell big max looks at scoring a 200 88 at halftime. Even hore looks at scoring a 130. I think cogliano and whitfield get moving they could score 120 130 and Lockhart. 7 at the moment. Be happy if I get to 2090 2100. Before cripps neale billings and Walter’s play. Looking around 2560 to 2600 if a big if they score huge
