    1. He did for me round 5, traded him to McLean.

I think it’s time. Saints insist on playing him forward in a team with terrible delivery.

  1. Got a couple on my mind, namely, Holman (upgrade) and Stef Martin (to Grundy).

Buddy is also on my mind. I held off this week, but sounds like it will be weeks? Lot of cash to have sitting on the bench… who do we have our eye on?

      1. Grundy 126 avg vs Stef 96 avg…

It’s a luxury trade, sure – but Grundy looking like he’s going to continue to dominate.

    1. Who are you looking at? Zerrett seems likely – MCrouch probably a better option but you’d want to wait a week (maybe 2).

    1. Revision. Holman BE apparently still well acheivable and no mid rookies on the bubble anyway

      Thoughts on Billings to McLean?
      T/U : good
      T/d : waste

      43

      9
  2. Holman’s BE will be pretty close to what it was last week, so he survives.

Billings won’t be so lucky, although this is the fourth week in a row I have said this.

  3. A few ideas for who to trade this week, just thumbs up/thumbs down if you think if they’re a good idea, I don’t have to choose only one of the choices

T/U: Buddy to another premo, apprently could be out a while
T/D: Upgrade Holman to a fallen premo in the mids/forward

    16

    21
    1. T/U: Go Witts to Grundy, Grundy will finish a top 3 ruck minimum, and Witts hasn’t been wowing me
T/D: Trade Charlie Curnow to a Forward premo, he’s not looking like a keeper and Carlton’s run isn’t getting any easier.

      24

      9
    1. He will more than likely end up a top 10 mid without injury, and worse case scenario if you bring him in and he stinks it up, most other players have him anyway, so it’s no the biggest issue in the world.

      14

      1
  4. Didnt have the cash last week so i went a double downgrade, but am still looking at bringing in Merrett. Holman, Banfield or Brayshaw will make way will need to make an important decision.
Duman is a strong chance to come in this week with Murray a chance to make way or using one of the prev named and switching Finlayson to the mid

  5. All of them. I wanna trade all of them. Well, apart from a few notable exceptions. With so many spuds masquerading as premiums this season, I feel I’m gonna spend most of my trades fixing the damage I inflicted on myself pre round 1.
Hibberd, Goldy, Billings, Dahlhaus, Parker still remain even after the departures of Daniher & McGrath (not to mention the spud rookies Brayshaw, Dow & H. Clark).
On field rookies are scoring as well as these guys but still making money, so I’m thinking this week Hibberd & Billings out for Cole & Zerrett via dpp.

        1. yeah actually just checked his BE 119 is very doable for him. This week or next shouldn’t be a big difference. Having said all that if he doesn’t go big this week the 137 will leave his cycle and he could drop just before his bye?

Could be worth the wait now his bye is so close.

          5

          1
  6. Thoughts on Neale? At a bottomed out price of 523K and looks to have found some form with a 151 today and 100 last week.

    t/u Yes

    t/d No

    25

    11
  7. Thinking of going Holman to Ronke (I know it’s an early call) and then Omeara to Dangerfield. This will then just about complete my midfield with only Kelly to upgrade. My midfield is now DANGER TITCH FYFE DUSTY CRIPPS PENDLES COGS and Kelly

    2

    18
  8. Thoughts on bringing in Yeo this week, or saving the cash for next week (Danger). Banfield going out.

    T/U Yeo this week
    T/D Danger next week

    3

    33
    1. Probably got only 1 more increase as he is priced @ 58.7 with a 115 and 88 coming out of his rolling scores over the next two weeks. May be rested this week as it will be 3 games in 12 days and the Pies travel to Brisbane this week.

Breakeven of 56 this week and then 89 the following week if he scores his break even this week.

      4

      0
  9. Walters to Howe via Sicily.
That’s my 6th injury trade ladies and gents (Ryder, Langdon, Ryan, Venables, Kelly and now Walters, I’ve also had Zerrett and Sicily). On track for 23 injury trades for the year.

Will trade Bonner to Spargo/Mutch/Worpel next week, leaving 340k for me to turn Banfield or Holman into Danger or Macrae.

          1. During the early years, when the stadium had its biggest issues, it was called Colonial Stadium (hence the comment about feeling old 😉 ).

            0
    1. Are you any chance of keeping Walters & hiding him in the mids… I’m in a similar boat and I’m seriously considering using him as a donut in my mids while he’s out, then when he’s back, bring him back into my fwd line. Despite all my injuries, I’ve done well with premiums & Rookies and feel I could cover this. (+ I don’t think I can afford another sideways trade)

      2

  10. Any recommended trades
DEF: Laird, Simpson, Ryan, Murray, Finlayson, Doedee (Coffield, Naughton)
MID: Mitchell, Martin, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Whitfield, Merrett, Kelly (Banfield, Holman, Barry)
    RUC: Martin, Gawn (Olango)
FWD: Heeney, Walters, Petracca, Sicily, Fritsch, Guelfi (Venables, Henry)

  11. Who is the greatest priority for my team:
    Gray (from Billings) T/U
    Hurley (from Bonner) T/D
    Grundy (from Goldstein) Comment

Have 300k in the bank so will use it on one of these with the leftover + Banfield to Spargo next week facilitating another one of these moves. My personal opinion is Bonner out as at least Goldstein and Billings can o high. Am 1409 overall and really have everyone else I need.

    4

    17
  12. Also thinking of grabbing Macrae. I had planned on Dusty and Danger but form suggests grabbing Macrae first.

    13

    1
      1. Wow it looks nice having both Danger and Gray in my team. Yes, I’m paying top dollar for both but both are potential no.1 players in their respective positions from now to the end of the season.

And danger can easily (hopefully) pump out a 150 against GWS hitting his BE.

        3

        9
      2. I went Macrae over Oliver three weeks ago and regretted it for a week!
Still gonna go for Oliver eventually. Maybe v soon as he’s nicely priced.

        1
  13. TU- Trade Billings and L.Murphy to Spargo and Duman (will leave 600k in the bank to upgrade Naughton and Banfield/Holman to Danger and Oliver next week)
    TD- Trade Billings to Gray/Mundy/McLean

    2

    20
  14. Started off great on Friday
    Saturday was Spud town
Then Sunday was rolled gold for me

Touhy and Bonner looking like they want to leave the team badly, also have Fogarty, Murphy and Giles-Langdon

I’m planning to trade out Touhy and Bonner
Who to get in is a tough decision
I can get in any gun Defender, Mid or Fwd
I’m not really feeling bringing in a mid because I’m unsettled on who will be a top 10mid and the rookies I have there are fine
However getting in a Fwd is much the same deal since this will be my fifth premo Fwd and I don’t know about the options

    Unsure which premium defender

So which line should I bring in a premium DEF, MID or FWD

    0

    1
    1. I would say not a premium mid for the reasons you state.
Best Fwd most people don’t have is Mundy I believe. He’s also a DPP you can use as a mid if you want.
Best Def I would say is Yeo (assume you have (Laird/Hurley) as do most.

      0

      3
      1. I have Mundy I got him in last week glad I did instead of Walters
Robbie Gray I’m looking to pick up Round 11
I don’t have Hurley and he was the option was the one I was leaning the most towards

        2

        0
  15. Which one do you pick for a downgrade ?
    T/U Duman
    T/D Cole
One has the cheaper starting price but has the FURL JS problem, the other looks the better scorer but a higher start price.

    2

    14
  16. Looking to use bit of 600K war chest (as need to move up from 3100 o/a) for Walters to Robbie Gray & Holman to Macrae (0r Mundy to move forward, but start mid-forward link).

    TU – Gray & Macrae (Kelly M8 & O’Meara M9 – will trade out to prem M/F DPP after)
    TD – Gray & Mundy (Kelly & O’Meara M7 & 8)

    16

    2
  17. I’m really looking at Matt Crouch – I know his BE is high but he’s AWESOME at SC and an extra week of a guy getting 120+ is worth more to me than the $20k I’d save by waiting a week.

Just gotta figure out who to drop otherwise – like Richards/Naughton’s next two weeks but the only good downgrade is Duman down back.

    6

    1
  18. good evening lads.. I’m not 100% certain yet but I’m thinking:

    McGrath OUT – Hurley IN
    O’Meara OUT – Neale IN

    T/U Yes
    T/D No

    cheers lads..

    22

    1
  19. thoughts on westhoff? Past stuff aside he’s going pretty well…Will ryder returning lower his scoring? Basically
TU; He is a top 6 based on this years performance so far and seems good for the season.
    TD; He will fall away.

    3

    14
  20. What to do about Parker?

TU: Hold. Big scores yet to come.
TD: Cut him loose. Something is wrong with him this year.

    19

    8
  21. TU: Greene to Titch via dpp
    TD: Hold

Currently have Banfield and Holman as M7 and M8 so perhaps could use a gun midfielder

    20

    0
  22. Walters to McLean and Holman to

TU Merrett $506,100 and price going North
TD Oliver $570,500 and price probably steady

    11

    18
  23. Walters Bonner out
    Zerrett Duman in.
Leaves 165k in the warchest. Can’t believe Billings survives, but the boy needs to be thrown in the middle. Double downgrade next week with Holman and probably Garlett. This will leave a decent warchest for the likes Danger,Yeo, Hurley and Gray after the bye.Should almost be about full premo by then.

    2

  24. Have both Franklin and Walters. Have decent cover for one.
    TU: Walters OUT
    TD: Both OUT this week.
    Thanks all

    16

  25. Early reports have Walters out for a month, and even if they came back less I wouldn’t be willing to risk it. There is nobody in either defense or forward I can get for the $490,000 I would have just from Walters, so that means a downgrade to fund whatever move I make. Fortunately there is one bubble option and several one game options. (Yes, I know about the Code of only downgrading to bubble players that have been named for a third match, but the Code is more what you call guidelines, than actual rules.)

Anyways, Robbie Gray to come in, and one cow out for someone costing < $130,000. Won't even try to pick who comes in without reading Hutta's Rookie Review, and won't pick who goes out until I have done the Cow Talk numbers. Once I have data from both, I expect I'll waffle up until the deadline….

    1. I’m sure the first thing most of us did when the rankings came out Father was check your position, No.10 is outstanding, I’m even getting nervous for you!! Your previous trades , Lids in particular, have been bold and brave but have paid handsome dividends. We’re all behind you, Go get em !!

      12

      0
  26. Did a double downgrade last week to clear up cash for danger.
But now I need to deal with walters.

    My options are to:
T/u trade walters and holman/banfield for a premo fwd and macrae this week
    Or
T/D walters to premo fwd this week and then downgrade one rookie and bring in danget next week

    4

    6
  27. Billings to R.Gray or M.Robinson?

Could really use the extra 100k in the bank, but of course would love Gray’s extra ~20pts per week (assuming current form is held).

    10

    1
  28. What’s everyone think about
    TOUHY, BONNER- OUT

    DUMAN, HURLEY- IN

Instead of Hurley I could get in any Premium DEF, MID or FWD for 620k
    any other options

    4

    1
    1. Best points getter you can afford with no injury cloud. Macrae? Robbie Gray? Hurley is a 104 average, can you get a guy who might average 120? 115?

      4

      0
      1. I have Macrae already
I was thinking about Gray but I’m unsure what people think about his bye
I was looking at Cripps but this will put me 7 premiums in the mid if you count parker

So that’s why I was leaning towards Hurley
but if everyone else thinks the Robbie Gray bye is fine and/or the 7 premos in the mid is fine then I will get them

        0

        0
          1. It is more of a sideways trade from Touhy
            Bonner goes down to Duman
Cripps would score the most and is looking like the best option

I am still able to field all the best rookies with Finlayson going into the DEFs alongside Murray and Doedee. Then I will be able to loophole Naughton and Duman with Murphy not playing

Kelly Would be at M8 and the more poorer scoring rookie are on the bench making money (Brayshaw, Banfield and Holman)

On field in FWD line I have Fritch and Guelfi, with Fogarty and Giles-Langdon on the bench

Thanks for the help looks much clearer now

            1

            0
  29. Trying to decide who to trade out this round

    T/U: Murray
    T/D: Banfield

Thoughts are, Murray’s BE is quite high, however he obviously has the ability to get a triple-figure score, Banfield we know will be a 40-60 scorer.

    0

    12
    1. neither this week, unless perhaps if Murray is rested due to the Pies recent heavy schedule. Personally I won’t be selling either just yet whatever happens.

      2

      0
  30. Given the structure of my team I can only fit in one of Macrae and Oliver this season. Which is best?

    Up – Macrae
    Dn – Oliver

    14

    6
  31. Any recommendations?
Def: Laird, Simpson, Siciliy, Doedee, Murray, Bonner, Coffield, Naughton
Mids: Fyfe, Titch, Martin, Cripps, Cogs, Kelly (Geel), Finlayson, Holman, Banfield, Amritage, Barry
    Rucks: Gawn, Martin, Cameron
Fwds: Gray, Heeney, Greene, Smith, Christensen, Henry, Fritsch, Garlett

    0

    0
  32. Planning on no trades this week but sweating on news on Greene. If he has to go:

    TU – McLean
    TD – Mundy

    11

    3
  33. Went Walters to Gray this week for obvious resaons.
    Should I
    T/U – Coffield to Howe/Savage
T/D – Downgrade Christensen to a FWD rookie

    4

    3
    1. Did it for Walters, looked at it, the reversed.
Made me way too nervous. He’s doing great I know, but personally I don’t have the confidence in him to do it. Doubtless I’ll be proven wrong. Again.

      0

      0
  34. Thoughts on trade?

    Banfield -> Danger
    Walters -> Sicily

Know it’s a little early for dangers BE 150 and banfields 42 but waiting a week or two would only save max 40k and with 400k in the bank, just can’t justify waiting on that for two weeks (had it last round two with double downgrade).

Or is it smarter to wait for a falling crouch?

    0

    5
    1. He’s averaging 8.6 more than the current number 8. Based on that, if he continues to play only 2 of every three games, you’d need a rookie on the bench averaging high 70s to cover it. That’s how I evaluate his flogability. Naughton 78 last week. Tick.

      6

      0
  35. I only have two DEF Premos (Laird and Simmo).
T/U – Wait a week and only use one trade this week (Walters to someone) and have $280 in the bank for next week

    T/D – Make a third DEF Premo a priority, someone like Hurley/Yeo

    1

    6
    1. If you can afford someone you want for the rest of the season, get them in. If you can’t, is the different between what you will score with and without them something the player you do want will make up over the rest of the season? If, not don’t wait.

      0

      0
  36. Def Premos aren’t a priority as the rookies are performing so well, focus more on forwards or falling mids as there are a lot of them too.

    3

    0
    1. Have to agree. There are only 5 DEFs averaging 100+ and you have the top2. Of the others, Sicily and Hurn are the only ones who are currently undervalued. If you don’t like them, then focus elsewhere as the others should all drop over time. Even if they start to ave. around 105-110, they’ll just end up being realistically priced.
There are 8 FWDs averaging 103+. 11 over 100 and there is more value there.
Comparative rookie performances only serves to make the focus more emphatic.

  37. Who to get for banfield
    TU Danger
TD bont (his gonna play in the guts from now on)

Comment someone else, thinking Macrae or Treloar

    2

    6
  38. Lewis taylor is going as ive only held him this long due to injuries and suspensions in the forwards. Who to get.

    T/U Gray
T/D Macrae (Move Higgins forward and leaves Kelly at M8 with holman, banfield and barry on bench)

Comment: Issac Heeney (wait for Gray after his bye)

    0

    7
  39. Why no love for Josh Kennedy of the Swans? This will be the cheapest for the year at $441600 and you have your mid 8/9 locked in for the year.

    6

    1
    1. better options for the structure I have and bigger priorities right now.
That said, if I had a MID ripe to trade right now, I would be giving him serious consideration as a long-term M9.

      1

      0
  40. Just unsure what my next move is weather i should double downgrade or upgrade billings and banfield for mcrae and rookie.
    This is my team
Laird Hurley Savage Finlayson doedee (coefield, naughton)
Fyfe Martin Mitchell Cripps oliver Coniglio Kelly Holman (Banfield Fogerty Barry)
Heeney Mclean smith Billings Stephenson Guelfi (fritsch Henry)
    23 trades left
    100k in the bank

    Any advice is appreciated

  41. Lads.

Looks like Walters is out for several weeks.
Also have BILLINGS! But there’s bigger fish to fry.

    My FWD line up atm:
Heeney, Walters, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Guelfi.
    Bench: Fritsch & Henry

    T/U: McLean – $515K / 104.7 avg
    T/D: Westhoff – $512K / 112.3 avg

    Cheers.

    11

    3
  42. Walters to go. Bring in a mid to balance the side.

TU: Merrit + 90k for danger in coming weeks
    TD: Macrae (no bank)

Danger spudding it up gives me more time to build the war chest back up.

    4

    7
  43. JPK seems great value but that is obviously because his scoring before this week has been well below normal. Considering bringing him in for either O’Meara or Billings but not sure if I should spend more on Crouch/Oliver etc.

T/U could be one of the value picks of the year

T/D form has been poor. Wait till he puts a few good games together.

    3

    11
  44. TU – trade murray to sicily, (holman on field)
TD – trade banfield to sicily via finlayson, (holman emergency)

both moves keep finlayson on field but but bring my total rookies on field from 7 down to 6. sicily also fits my bye structure well so i am set on bringing him in.

    2

    9
  45. Decided to be a bit bold and move on walters and holman for a premo mid and fwd this week as Im sick of my middling scores.
With the money I have narrowed my options to the following mid and forward combos:
T/u Option 1: danger and deledio
T/d option 2: matt crouch and robbie gray

    2

    8
  46. TU: Billings to Sicily, Greene to McLean
TD: Holman to Sicily via Finlayson DPP, Greene to McLean and hold Billings

    3

    3
  47. Greene and Banfield to Oliver and Macrae? Leaves me with $144k and looking at going Murray and Holman to Yeo and Spargo/Worpel next week.

T/U – Gotta risk it for the biscuit
T/D – To much risk and not enough biscuits

    9

    1
  48. TU: Buddy to Mundy
TD: Buddy to The Hoff (don’t currently have FWD line cover for the bye round.. so I’d likely need to bring a DPP into the midfield in the coming weeks to cover me)

Have about $65k/75k in the kitty after a trade to Hoff or Mundy.

    Current on field looks like:

    D – Laird | Yeo | Finlayson | Doedee | Murray | Naughton (Mirra / Murphy)

    M – Fyfe | Martin | Mitchell | Cripps | Oliver | Cogs | T Kelly | Holman (Banfield / Brayshaw / Barry)

    R – Gawn | S Martin (Lavender)

    F – Gray | Heeney | McLean | Fritsch | Henry | Langdon (Franklin / Fogarty)

    4

  49. Had to deal with both Buddy and Greene last week, couldn’t afford to have both on bench so went Buddy to Gray.
Question is now do I hang on to Greene and use bench cover or just move him on ?
    T/U trade

    T/D hang on
Still have 24 trades and no real major problems elsewhere.

    8

    -2
      1. Yeo- has some hard games ahead
Hurley- lapping up the cheap stuff as his team sux at the moment and keep going backwards so should keep raking them up.
Simpson- he killed it to half time then got shifted to a wing and went quiet???
Not sure if this will become regular..

        Probably hurley

        5

  50. Be very careful those considering Grundy as a trade in

Seems to be a big chance he will miss this weekend with sore shins.

    3

    0
    1. Barry could potentially make another $50k, BUT his JS doesn’t look good, especially after last week.
Duman will make you that in a week, BUT his coach is Ross Lyon, so am not sure about his JS either.
At the end of the day it’s your call. Personally I wouldn’t, unless I needed the cash differential NOW to make an additional and imperative premo trade.
Very tough call to make. Hope you get some more helpful feedback!

      1

      0
      1. Was thinking this because Barry’s scoring has dropped and might not make much more $$ in the next 2 weeks if he even plays. Duman has looked okay but not good enough to get rid of my defence rookies. It is probably a matter of if Duman will play for the next 6 weeks and make 150k, if he does then probably a good trade but if he only plays for say 4 weeks and only makes 100k then maybe not so good.

        1

        0
        1. yeah I know. dilemmas. I think for these reasons I’d opt for Cole over Duman, but only just. Why? because he has better JS and will make money (less quickly than Duman if he plays, but more and faster than keeping Barry). Further, he is the type of player who should give you an ONfielder when you do sell the fattened Doedee, Murray, Finlayson etc.
Worth considering all outcomes. If you’re not in a hurry, you could always wait for next week with better potential cows hitting the button.
