Brisbane (19.12.126) defeated Sydney (12.11.83)

  1. Chad Warner (150). Kicked off the round in style despite his side copping a beating. Had 28 touches (14 contested) plus 7 tackles and 4 goals as well as 8 clearances, 8 inside 50s and 604 metres gained.
  2. Will Ashcroft (138). Top scored for the Lions, finding 30 disposals plus 7 marks, 7 tackles, 8 clearances, 8 inside 50s and 548 metres gained.
  3. Isaac Heeney (125). Another Swan to score massive in the loss was Heeney, as he collected 30 touches (14 contested) plus 1 goal, 8 marks, 7 clearances and 6 tackles.
  4. Zac Bailey (115). Nice game from Bailey, his night included 20 touches plus 6 tackles and 2 goals.
  5. Josh Dunkley (110). Rounds out this games top five thanks to 26 disposals, 8 marks and 9 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Callum Mills (109), Levi Ashcroft (106), Jaspa Fletcher (103)

Disappointment: Nick Blakey (64) had shoulder knock but player 86% of game time so he gets it here.

Rookies: Gallop (79), McKenna (70) and Tunstill (36) for the Lions, with Sydney having Edwards (81), Serong (60), McDonald (28) and Rosas (24) to starlet the round.

Injuries: Clean injury cards to start round 16.

 

Hawthorn (14.12.96) defeated GWS (12.10.82)

  1. Lachie Whitfield (119). Led the scoring on Friday evening, capturing 33 touches @ 82% DE plus 7 rebounds from 50 and 478 metres gained.
  2. Clayton Oliver (118). Not far behind Whitfield was Clarry who continued his strong first season in Giants colours. Had 34 touches (12 contested) plus 1 goal, 9 tackles and 7 inside 50s.
  3. Jack Ginnivan (114). Strong game from Ginnivan, his 23 touches, 6 marks, 7 tackles, 2 goals and 8 inside 50s led the Hawks scoring.
  4. Will Day (110). Did plenty in the Hawks midfield, finding 27 touches (15 contested) @ 77% DE plus 8 clearances and 592 metres gained.
  5. James Sicily (109). 22 disposals and 10 marks down back for Sicily, running at an elite 96% DE to top it off.

Other 100+ scores: Jai Newcombe (107), Cam Mackenzie (105), Sam Taylor (104), Finn Callaghan (103)

Disappointment: Connor MacDonald (73) had 25 touches but went @ 56% with 7 clangers, semi popular forward option.

Rookies: Dalton (95) was one on the bubble this week and produced, but not many jumped on, while the other Hawks, MacDonald (42) and Perez (36), struggled. Similarly, the Giants had Gothard (83) score well, while Oliver (38) and Gruzewski (26) didn’t.

Injuries: The Hawks lost Watson (hamstring tightness) while the Giants came away with seemingly long term injuries to Daniels (calf) and Gruzewski (knee).

 

Carlton (17.15.117) defeated West Coast (9.10.64)

  1. Sam Walsh (122). Finally getting scored right by CD, Walsh had another great game in the middle, finding 33 touches (9 contested) @ 91% DE plus 5 clearances and 4 tackles.
  2. Patrick Cripps (119). Another ton for Cripps, his game included 31 touches (16 contested) plus 1 goal, 9 clearances and 7 tackles.
  3. Ben Ainsworth (111). Played a great hybrid role, finishing up with 28 disposals, 9 marks, 3 goal assists, 8 inside 50s and 1 major himself.
  4. George Hewett (110). Another Blue mid to score well, Hewett ended Saturday with 26 touches @ 88% DE plus 2 goals and 10 score involvements.
  5. Harry McKay (105). Made it an all Blues top five thanks to 19 disposals, 6 marks and 3 majors for the game.

Other 100+ scores: Will Hayward (101)

Disappointment: Since the Blues midfield dominated, it was hard for Bailey Williams (67) to have any impact at all.

Rookies: Some really good scores for the Blues, led by Byrne (99) and followed by Smith (96) and Dean (84). Kemp (77), Ison (53) and Derksen (52) the others. Herbert (80) led the Eagles, tied with Allan (80), with the former being a solid downgrade option next week. Murdock (55) came in ahead of Duursma (41) and Duff-Tytler (38).

Injuries: Prized pick Duff-Tytler (calf) the only injury from Saturday afternoon.

 

Collingwood (15.16.106) defeated Richmond (11.6.72)

  1. Nick Daicos (154). Was tipped to dominate and did just that, securing a great VC/C score on the back of 37 disposals (11 contested), 14 score involvements, 3 majors, 7 clearances, 6 marks, 9 inside 50s and 512 metres gained.
  2. Jack Crisp (122). Consistent as always, Crisp found himself totalling 26 touches @ 85% DE to pair with 8 marks, 5 tackles and 558 metres gained.
  3. Jordan De Goey (121). Great hybrid game from JDG, finishing with 27 touches plus 1 goal, 4 goal assists and 13 score involvements.
  4. Dan Houston (114). One of the years more frustrating owns had a solid game on Saturday, reaching this score thanks to 28 touches and 11 marks while running @ 86% DE plus 1 major, running around at half back.
  5. Patrick Retschko (113). Made sure it wasn’t an all Magpies top five, with the Richmond rookie topping their scores thanks to 26 touches and 10 marks, 511 metres gained and 81% DE.

Other 100+ scores: Josh Daicos (111), Lachie Schultz (104)

Disappointment: Jayden Short (66) well under again, Cameron (86) struggling to get big score.

Rookies: After Retschko came Cumming (82) for the Tigers, ahead of Alger (62), Grlj (43), Annand (40) and Lefau (21). For the Pies, a quieter second week for Swadling (38), but that still led Steele (36) and Harrison (29).

Injuries: Horton (corked quad) on the injury report here, but that was all.

 

Port Adelaide (13.19.97) defeated Adelaide (11.5.71)

  1. Zak Butters (155). Starred in the showdown, finding 37 touches (23 contested) plus 704 metres gained, 7 tackles, 13 clearances and 11 inside 50s.
  2. Jordan Dawson (124). The skipper was the Crows best in the showdown, collecting 25 touches, 6 marks, 6 tackles, 6 inside 50s and 516 metres gained.
  3. Jordon Sweet/Josh Worrell/Darcy Fogarty (115). Sweet has been super the past few weeks and provided another nice score thanks to 10 touches, 5 clearances and 38 hitouts. Worrell had 21 disposals, 6 rebounds from 50s and 5 marks, while Fogarty was the Crows best forward, having 16 touches and 5 goals for the game.
  4. Jason Horne-Francis (112). Another nice effort from the Hornet, this week capturing 29 touches plus 10 clearances and 1 goal.
  5. Joe Richards (110). Rounds out the top five thanks to 18 touches (10 contested) plus 2 goal assists, 5 marks and 6 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Mitch Georgiades (109), Lachy McAndrew (104)

Disappointment: Rachele (46) and Rankine (38).

Rookies: McAndrew (104) is still in 30% of teams and produced a great score thanks to 14 touches, 8 tackles and 22 hitouts. Borlase (79) was once again very good as was Hall-Kahan (61), but Cook (20) had the worst score of his season. Bargain basement rookies Zadow (26) and Bambert (25) didn’t do much in Port showdown win, but Lai (82) and Whitlock (94) were super to influence the overall result.

Injuries: Clean cards from the Showdown.

 

North Melbourne (10.19.79) defeated Essendon (9.11.65)

  1. Harry Sheezel (175). Just dominated the whole game Sunday, finding 43 touches (13 contested) @ 93% DE plus 15 score involvements, 12 marks and 8 tackles for the game.
  2. Luke Davies-Uniacke (146). Great game from LDU, finding 25 touches (11 contested) plus 96% DE, 1 goal, 10 clearances and 11 tackles.
  3. Caleb Daniel (145). Back to back massive games for Daniel, this week collecting 40 touches @ 98% DE plus 9 marks, 12 score involvements and 586 metres gained.
  4. Mason Redman/Sam Durham (128). A couple of Dons tied up here. Redman had 29 touches and 12 marks to go with 563 metres gained, while Durham collected 25 touches (10 contested) to go with 2 majors and 6 tackles.
  5. Luke Parker (122). Rounds out this games top five, collecting 31 touches @ 91% DE down back as well as 8 marks.

Other 100+ scores: Andrew McGrath (103), Zach Merrett (102)

Disappointment: Considering most of the big guns fired here, I’ll give it to McKercher (92). Zurharr (54) and that backline role died quickly.

Rookies: Farrow (85) led the Bombers ahead of some other draft crop in Sharp (63) and Robey (62). Others to feature were Day-Wicks (54) and El Achkar (30). The Kangaroos had Blamires (57), Goater (52), Duursma (40), Dawson (39) and Coleman-Jones (13).

Injuries: Wardlaw (knee) and Redman (knee) the casualties here.

 

Fremantle (11.14.80) defeated Gold Coast (3.11.29)

  1. Andrew Brayshaw (131). Led the Sunday night fixture scoring thanks to 29 disposals, 9 marks, 8 clearances, 6 tackles, 654 metres gained and 1 major.
  2. Jordan Clark/Luke Jackson (119). Clark had a great running game off half-back, having 24 touches @ 83% DE plus 5 marks and 5 tackles. Jackson kept his dominant season going thanks to 15 touches, 2 goals and 16 hitouts.
  3. Matt Rowell (116). The best of the Suns, Rowell had 22 touches (12 contested) plus 6 clearances and 5 tackles.
  4. Bodhi Uwland (114). Another ton for Uwland, this week on the back of 24 touches @ 96% DE and 5 marks.
  5. Karl Worner (112). Really solid game from Worner, his 21 touches also included 6 marks, 5 tackles and 469 metres gained.

Other 100+ scores: Luke Ryan (110), Noah Anderson (107), Shai Bolton (105), Zeke Uwland (101)

Disappointment: Christian Petracca (50) stank it up to finish the weekend. Miller (76) not that much better.

Rookies: Zeke Uwland (101) had the best game of his young career with 23 touches and 8 marks, while he was followed by Lombard (66), Addinsall (62), Murray (41) and Jepson (39). No rookies for the Dockers.

Injuries: Clean injury cards to finish the round.
