  1. To afford Bont ($2K short) as my last upgrade, with my 2nd trade I ideally need a fwd rookie with half a pulse / chance of playing Any suggestions please team?

  3. Team is full premo. I’m brining in NAS for derksen this week. Current rank 2986.

Xerri is flex. I could upgrade to Xerri to Gawn and have 5 trades left or hold Xerri and have 6 trades.

    TU: Hold XERRI
TD: Get Gawn he is the top scorer

        • So instead of doing what a normal person would do – (ask in one post with your normal log on, “Which of Merret, Walsh or Callaghan should I trade out to enable me to get Baz in?”). You created 3 new profiles, to ask about each vs the other in three different ways, without even mentioning Baz. Then when that was pointed out, you created another profile to answer that query. Isn’t life and Supercoach complicated enough for you already?

          • I just wanted to do 3 separate ones because some people don’t comment. I am currently living at home with my parents so life is not complicated for me yet. Who do you think I should trade out to get Baz?

            • Being as we are getting to the pointy end of the season, I couldn’t say if the options you have proposed are your best path. It depends on trades left, dollars left, potential dollar upgrades/downgrades, whether you have more pressing problems, or wasted dollars on your bench. Are you full premo and this is a luxury trade? Because if its not you probably shouldn’t even be thinking about it. Without those numbers, I would say, none of those options yet for at least 2 weeks. Baz has a BE of 153, Walsh has a BE of 75. The other two are 107 and 110 BE. Just working purely on averages, going Walsh or Callaghan to Baz gets you 20 points and costs you $120k. If you still have any rookies averaging 50-60 and worth $200k, you could get the same points benefit by upgrading that 60 to a 60-80 point average $99k rookie and put $100k in the bank.

              • I’m full premo and got all the top premos apart from Grundy and Smith. Have 2 trades left after doing this trade and I think it is worth it as I want to be aggressive and maximise points on field. I’m worried about Merrett’s role too as he was playing forward at the end of the game and also plays for a bad team. Callaghan and Walsh have been underwhelming too.

    • I’m in the same boat as you, was going to get Durham last week but backed out! My view for what it’s worth:

Warner- He’s such a tease, when he goes big he can go huge but historically he’s never sustained it. Look at his history, almost every year he had 2-3 massive games but then he’ll put a 50. So I’m passing, but at this late stage could be worth a gamble
Durham- Seems to be a Solomon favourite, very solid pick. Not as high ceiling as the others
Marshall- At the moment I’m leaning towards him as he can also go massive like Warner but if he’s playing lead ruck he’ll be much more consistent. But that all depends on TDK, I’m assuming he’s out for a fair while? I haven’t seen any solid intel though

  6. Is Herbert a must have? Seven trades left after Sinc to NAS this week, 22 premos. Would have to trade out Cumming to get any decent cash and he’s proving a solid scorer and still has cash to make. Already have Fitzgerald for mid bench cover and feel that it would be worth getting as much cash from Cumming as possible, even if it’s a non-playing 99k rookie

    • If team’s complete then no, those trades are gold for any injuries later. Unless you’re freeing cash to get in a 23rd premo, then he’s a great option but hopefully Artemis is an option for cover and cash flow down the track if you can hold off.

    • The response is NAS but really depends how complete the rest of your team is, how many trades you have left and how that (saved) $130k could be used.

  12. 3 premos left to bring in.
9 trades with no boosts left.

TU: 1 up and 1 down
TD: two downgrades this week and two up next week.

Can make some cash with Hebert & Fitzgerald. My hesitation with 1 up and 1 down is if there’s no downgrade targets upcoming I won’t have cash gen to keep upgrading but I get delayed a week on points

Currently have Farrow at D6… I can go straight swap to either
    TU: Sicily
    TD: Parker

Or I could get to NAS if I do an additional trade Derksen -> rookie for example byt at this stage, all trades are a premium!

  18. Is Daniel a genuine option?

Am considering going Parker for the safer options but Daniel has been tearing it up lately

Alternatively, burn 2 trades (leaving me with 2 trades remaining however) to get up to NAS?

It’s my second season and any advice would be greatly apreciated

  20. 6 trades left and 250k in the bank. Am considering some new options with 3 rookies left to upgrade and Sinclair in my team…

TU: Sinclair to Nas, Cumming to Herbert
I stay at full premo for DEF and 1 rookie in M8. 399k to upgrade my shit F5/F6 next week. These guys are Arty Jones, Scerri, Pods and C. Banfield. Already have Sheezel, Pickett, Ross and Petracca as F1-4

TD: Cumming to Herbert, Scerri to JHF
this means HHK covers Sinclair. Still 1 rookie at M8. $141k banked for upgrades Jones and/or Sinclair later on

  21. Does anybody find some teams must be just a click and forget team. I am playing a team in one of my leagues this week that still has Rozee and Flanders on the field. I think if you don’t want to play the full season then don’t start a team in the first place, on the other hand it should be an easy win. Do you agree or disagree.
T/U Agree don’t bother putting in a team
T/D Disagree just one of those things, toughen up

    • there are plenty of Ghost teams. some people target a week and try and grab the $2k weekly prize, others had one too many injuries, plenty of reasons. thats why i try and stick to leagues that you know all the teams will play to the end.

    TU Trade Cumming to 99K
    TD Don’t trade for now

    • depends on if you are looking for the safe (Holmes) 91% owned by top 10% of teams, or a POD with Warner just 13% and Durham 39%

it will be hard watch not having Holmes over the Cats last 4 games

  26. Can get to Gawn as my 23rd player by using 2 trades including Cumming. This leaves with a team that looks like this but only 3 trades (+$42K) left for injuries:

B – Holmes, Dale, Whitfield, Sicily, Wilkie, Clark. (B Ryan, Annand)
M – Butters, Naicos, Bont, Newcombe, Callaghan, Day, Rowell, Kozzie (Hall-Kahan, Herbert, Fitzgerald)
    R – Jackson, Xerri ( Zakostelsky)
F – Sheezel, De Goey, Warner, Petracca, Treacy, JHF (Lake, Banfield)
    Flex – Gawn

Question is, am I too tight with 3 trades?

T/U – 3 trades remaining is ok with that team.
T/D – get back to 4 or 5 trades by holding Cumming and forget about Gawn.
    Comment – other options.
