To afford Bont ($2K short) as my last upgrade, with my 2nd trade I ideally need a fwd rookie with half a pulse / chance of playing Any suggestions please team?
So instead of doing what a normal person would do – (ask in one post with your normal log on, “Which of Merret, Walsh or Callaghan should I trade out to enable me to get Baz in?”). You created 3 new profiles, to ask about each vs the other in three different ways, without even mentioning Baz. Then when that was pointed out, you created another profile to answer that query. Isn’t life and Supercoach complicated enough for you already?
I just wanted to do 3 separate ones because some people don’t comment. I am currently living at home with my parents so life is not complicated for me yet. Who do you think I should trade out to get Baz?
Being as we are getting to the pointy end of the season, I couldn’t say if the options you have proposed are your best path. It depends on trades left, dollars left, potential dollar upgrades/downgrades, whether you have more pressing problems, or wasted dollars on your bench. Are you full premo and this is a luxury trade? Because if its not you probably shouldn’t even be thinking about it. Without those numbers, I would say, none of those options yet for at least 2 weeks. Baz has a BE of 153, Walsh has a BE of 75. The other two are 107 and 110 BE. Just working purely on averages, going Walsh or Callaghan to Baz gets you 20 points and costs you $120k. If you still have any rookies averaging 50-60 and worth $200k, you could get the same points benefit by upgrading that 60 to a 60-80 point average $99k rookie and put $100k in the bank.
I’m full premo and got all the top premos apart from Grundy and Smith. Have 2 trades left after doing this trade and I think it is worth it as I want to be aggressive and maximise points on field. I’m worried about Merrett’s role too as he was playing forward at the end of the game and also plays for a bad team. Callaghan and Walsh have been underwhelming too.
I’m in the same boat as you, was going to get Durham last week but backed out! My view for what it’s worth:
Warner- He’s such a tease, when he goes big he can go huge but historically he’s never sustained it. Look at his history, almost every year he had 2-3 massive games but then he’ll put a 50. So I’m passing, but at this late stage could be worth a gamble
Durham- Seems to be a Solomon favourite, very solid pick. Not as high ceiling as the others
Marshall- At the moment I’m leaning towards him as he can also go massive like Warner but if he’s playing lead ruck he’ll be much more consistent. But that all depends on TDK, I’m assuming he’s out for a fair while? I haven’t seen any solid intel though
22 premiums with 4 trades left
TU: Darcy caermon and sharp to luke jackson and herbert
TD: Save the trades for injuries cos rankine, xerri, miller are injury prone
Is Herbert a must have? Seven trades left after Sinc to NAS this week, 22 premos. Would have to trade out Cumming to get any decent cash and he’s proving a solid scorer and still has cash to make. Already have Fitzgerald for mid bench cover and feel that it would be worth getting as much cash from Cumming as possible, even if it’s a non-playing 99k rookie
If team’s complete then no, those trades are gold for any injuries later. Unless you’re freeing cash to get in a 23rd premo, then he’s a great option but hopefully Artemis is an option for cover and cash flow down the track if you can hold off.
Just doing a derksen to Herbert trade. Leaves me two to hold as my team is done. Have been improving every week but just playing for league win glory now.
Was just looking at swapping Sinclair for NAS this week.
looks like a few posts have the thumbs down on Nas as a trade in option
any particular reason why?
3 premos left to bring in.
9 trades with no boosts left.
TU: 1 up and 1 down
TD: two downgrades this week and two up next week.
Can make some cash with Hebert & Fitzgerald. My hesitation with 1 up and 1 down is if there’s no downgrade targets upcoming I won’t have cash gen to keep upgrading but I get delayed a week on points
6 trades left and 250k in the bank. Am considering some new options with 3 rookies left to upgrade and Sinclair in my team…
TU: Sinclair to Nas, Cumming to Herbert
I stay at full premo for DEF and 1 rookie in M8. 399k to upgrade my shit F5/F6 next week. These guys are Arty Jones, Scerri, Pods and C. Banfield. Already have Sheezel, Pickett, Ross and Petracca as F1-4
TD: Cumming to Herbert, Scerri to JHF
this means HHK covers Sinclair. Still 1 rookie at M8. $141k banked for upgrades Jones and/or Sinclair later on
Does anybody find some teams must be just a click and forget team. I am playing a team in one of my leagues this week that still has Rozee and Flanders on the field. I think if you don’t want to play the full season then don’t start a team in the first place, on the other hand it should be an easy win. Do you agree or disagree.
T/U Agree don’t bother putting in a team
T/D Disagree just one of those things, toughen up
there are plenty of Ghost teams. some people target a week and try and grab the $2k weekly prize, others had one too many injuries, plenty of reasons. thats why i try and stick to leagues that you know all the teams will play to the end.
4 trades left still need 3 premos to finalise team
TU – Murdock and McKercher > Durham and NAS
TD – Murdock and Mckercher > C.Warner and Wilkie
Comment – Murdock to C.Warner and get NAS next week (not enough money for both this week)
Can get to Gawn as my 23rd player by using 2 trades including Cumming. This leaves with a team that looks like this but only 3 trades (+$42K) left for injuries:
B – Holmes, Dale, Whitfield, Sicily, Wilkie, Clark. (B Ryan, Annand)
M – Butters, Naicos, Bont, Newcombe, Callaghan, Day, Rowell, Kozzie (Hall-Kahan, Herbert, Fitzgerald)
R – Jackson, Xerri ( Zakostelsky)
F – Sheezel, De Goey, Warner, Petracca, Treacy, JHF (Lake, Banfield)
Flex – Gawn
Question is, am I too tight with 3 trades?
T/U – 3 trades remaining is ok with that team.
T/D – get back to 4 or 5 trades by holding Cumming and forget about Gawn.
Comment – other options.
Who should I trade first?
Tu: Callaghan
TD: Walsh
Trading them in or out?
Last upgrade for flex for full prem. Not as worried about BE and can get anyone
TU Smith
TD Grundy
TU – Nas
TD – Holmes
To afford Bont ($2K short) as my last upgrade, with my 2nd trade I ideally need a fwd rookie with half a pulse / chance of playing Any suggestions please team?
Rookie downgrade
Tu: Herbert
Td: Fitzgerald
F6 option
Tu: Cumming to Zac Bailey or Marshall (if tdk out for yr), hold Sharp as M9
Td: Sharp to McKercher or Thilthorpe. Hold Cumming as m9
Last upgrade:
TU – Nas
TD – Baz
Team is full premo. I’m brining in NAS for derksen this week. Current rank 2986.
Xerri is flex. I could upgrade to Xerri to Gawn and have 5 trades left or hold Xerri and have 6 trades.
TU: Hold XERRI
TD: Get Gawn he is the top scorer
Who should I trade first?
Tu: Callaghan
TD: Merrett
Who should I trade first?
Tu: Merrett
TD: Walsh
Are Blake Blossom, Kari Rowson & Ruby Seymour all the same person?
Yes they are. I’m trading one of them out to get Smith

Last upgrade – Tu Warner Td Durham comment – Marshall. Thanks:)

I think we can put Bolton in the same boat…. Ist a touch unsure I am.
6 trades left
– Full “premo” + HHK
TU: Clark/Jaicos -> NWM or Holmes (Cost 2 trades)
TD: Rowell/Richards -> NWM or Smith (Cost 1 trade)
TU: NWM
TD: Smith
Comment: Holmes
Geelong have a pretty easy run home so you would think Holmes or Smith would be a good pick.
22 premiums with 4 trades left
TU: Darcy caermon and sharp to luke jackson and herbert
TD: Save the trades for injuries cos rankine, xerri, miller are injury prone

Need to deal with Sinclair with 7 trades left and D6 still to fill for full premo
TU – burn two trades this week to get to NAS, 5 trades left
TD – only use one trade this week to Parker or Ash, 6 trades left
Just doing a derksen to Herbert trade. Leaves me two to hold as my team is done. Have been improving every week but just playing for league win glory now.
Waste of a trade
You do realize that there’s 4 more rounds to go PLUS finals? Two trades left is a definite hold in my mind.
With Weitering out indefinitely, Derksen could be helpful as warm body on the bench
Flex remaining, 5 trades left.
TU: Use 3 trades (left with 2), upgrade flex to 530kplayer e.g. Neale
TD: Use 2 trades (left with 3), upgrade flex to 450k player e.g. Durham/Bolton
Was just looking at swapping Sinclair for NAS this week.
looks like a few posts have the thumbs down on Nas as a trade in option
any particular reason why?
Thats what I am doing. Sinclair to NAS.
Completing my forward line of Sheezel, Petracca, Horne-Francis, Reid and Miller.
Warner, Pickett, Treacy or Bolton?
I Have Kozzie, but he was tagged last round which was a new wrinkle. Put the other 3 in a box and pull one out maybe?
5 trades & $178k left to finish defence and have 23 premos.
TU: 2 trades, cumming & Derksen to NWM & Herbert
TD: 1 trade Cumming to J Daicos, Clark, Stewart type instead
Best def & fwd combo to trade in:
TU: Nas & Thilthorpe
TD: Parker & Bailey
Many thanks!
Hey guys,
TU: NAS
TD: Wilkie (pocket $130k ish)
Thanks
The response is NAS but really depends how complete the rest of your team is, how many trades you have left and how that (saved) $130k could be used.
Daniels out
Durham or Marshall in?
I need a keeper
Which one lol
TU: Durham
TD: Marshall
TU: Trade in Baz, leave HHK at D6 and no NAS
TD: Tade in NAS, HHK at Flx and no Baz
Hi all,
TU Better to have 22 premo and say a Herbert as 23 rd as only 22 score
TD Try and get 23 good players…. 21 premo and 2..
Interesting Thanks…
Follow up
TU Farrow Serong to Herbert and Nas
TD Ison Farrow to Herbert Durham…
Thanks….
Looking at options for my final Defence upgrade..
Currently have Farrow at D6… I can go straight swap to either
TU: Sicily
TD: Parker
Or I could get to NAS if I do an additional trade Derksen -> rookie for example byt at this stage, all trades are a premium!
TU – HHK to Nas (40k in the bank)
TD – C.Mckenna to Nas (90k in the bank)
22 premos 4 trades left
Tu lombard > Parker
Td lombard derksen > nwm sherbet
Im thinking option 1 to save trades
I want to luxury trade out a mid to smith as he could be a bad anti pod
Which mid scores less for the year?
Tu: Merrett
TD: callaghan
Comment: Walsh
Tu: Walsh
6 trades left with DCameron being a disappointment at flex.
TU – trade to in-form Warner
TD – hold trade for injuries etc
What major trade should I make this week?
Out: Tunstill. In: Houston
Or
Out: Watson. In: Sheezel
I’ve got 18 trades left somehow
Yeh sure you have. Show us your team and we will have at it. How much cash?
Hey Guys,
Who is better to finish my defence? Cal Wilkie or Josh Daicos?
TU – Wilkie
TD – J.Daicos
Cheers
Playing for leagues and down to 3 trades
TU – 1 trade – Cumming to a sub $550k premo (Brayshaw, Hewett, Neale, etc.)
TD – 2 trades – Cumming and Burton to NAS and Herbert
Two trades is very tight.
Going down to one trade now is suicide.
TU – Grundy
TD – NWM
TU: Nas and Bolton/Durham
TD: Wilkie and Grundy
Is Daniel a genuine option?
Am considering going Parker for the safer options but Daniel has been tearing it up lately
Alternatively, burn 2 trades (leaving me with 2 trades remaining however) to get up to NAS?
It’s my second season and any advice would be greatly apreciated
Ta
Crazy thoughts for final FWD.
TU: Follow the herd and get Durham
TD: Get Marshall – can cover rucks with White at R3
Brent Daniels (yes I went there) to De Goey. 5 trades remaining, one upgrade to go. Someone ring the bell already
$141k banked for upgrades Jones and/or Sinclair later on
you will want Nas, and Sinclair doesn’t look like he will be back
Does anybody find some teams must be just a click and forget team. I am playing a team in one of my leagues this week that still has Rozee and Flanders on the field. I think if you don’t want to play the full season then don’t start a team in the first place, on the other hand it should be an easy win. Do you agree or disagree.

Last Upgrade spot for flex. Will still have 6 trades left after this trade.
TU: Heeney – Higher potential score
TD: Nas – means I get premo DPP cover for defense
8 trades remaining, 2 boosts.
TU: Derk & L Henry > NAS & Herbert
TD: Derk, Jagga, Xerri > Gawn, NAS, & Herbert.
Xerri should be back this week I think so no need to trade him
4 trades left still need 3 premos to finalise team
TU – Murdock and McKercher > Durham and NAS
TD – Murdock and Mckercher > C.Warner and Wilkie
Comment – Murdock to C.Warner and get NAS next week (not enough money for both this week)
you might have to hold McKertcher, and hope he gets moved into half-back
Somehow got Gawn stuck as R3 and only way I can get him into flex is using a trade (I have 4 left)
TU Trade Cumming to 99K
TD Don’t trade for now
how did this happen?
he can’t stay there, use the trade
Suspect because zakoestlkly is back in my def but honestly no idea. Bye chaos, and im ranked 200
Can you get Zakostelsky to flex and then swap him with Gawn? I don’t think ZZ is helpful in the backline at all
Can’t get him out without a trade
Hit the optimise button
Otherwise put ZZ at flex and then switch Gawn and ZZ
Have done So, still at R3 unless I trade. Currently a mid is at flex and zz is in backline Gawn r3
where is Hall-kahan? is he in your mid or defence?
who are your defence bench, ZZ and who? is it just Hall-kahan, or do you have another rookie defender?
Final premo
TU – Isaac Heeney
TD – Bailey Smith
Tu Parker
Td wilkie
Parker does have DPP, that could be useful if you have Hall-kahan in the guts
Who do i prioritize?
TU: Holmes 98BE
or
TD: Durham/Warner before they jump in price?
depends on if you are looking for the safe (Holmes) 91% owned by top 10% of teams, or a POD with Warner just 13% and Durham 39%
it will be hard watch not having Holmes over the Cats last 4 games
TU: Bailey
TD: Warner
4 trades left, 1 left to use this week.
Houston is at D6
Jagga is at F6
TU Houston to Wilkie
TD Jagga Smith to Warner
Or hold?
or Jagga to Marshall
hold. Jagga could go massive this week, and Houston and Wilkie can score similar
2 trades left. Need to do a down up to get NAS. (Burton to Herbert and Keane to NAS.
Thoughts?
two easy trades.
Comment – other options.
get Gawn, you have pretty good bench cover and a couple of nice DPP’s
good team, love the two Hawks!!
