  1. Too many trades to talk about lol, sure I’m not the only one.

Injuries to Ziebell, Dusty, Dunkley and Neale with the latter two requiring trade outs, nightmare at D6 bringing Jones to cover to Kos a few weeks ago to then have Jones injured and Kos ton and 5 dead rookies spread across my bench. I’m f*cked.

I’ll stick around to do admin duties and the captaincy articles, but I think that’s my season done lol.

    1. Same boat GD – the only thing I have is I managed to hold Kos which saved my bacon this week, but oh my god am I screwed next week. Think it has to be Dunkley and Neale out, keep Dusty and Zeibal for now.

    2. With you on that one! Brought in Neale last minute for Butters last week. Note to self: Trade BEFORE getting on the booze..

Tricky, injury riddled season for all – not me uniquely.

  2. I like many others have 2 forced trades this week which are throwing my trade plans and upgrading plans out the window. Dunkley and Neale out for Marshall and Steele or Bont not sure yet. Just sad 🙁

    1. Pretty sure Marshall is on the waiting list for a recurring injury, should be his turn in the next couple of weeks.

  3. Best forward replacement for dunks;

    Tu; Zorko
Td; Marshall (Ryder set to return next week)

    Comment: Sidebottom

  4. I have a suspicion that even with 2 trades this week I will still field a full team in round 7.
Can I bring one of my bye weeks forests and have 3 trades this week.
    Out
    Dunkley and Highmore
    In
    Treloar and Robertson

    1

    9
  5. Probably Dunkley to Steele & Guldin+ save cash to Walsh. I’ll pass on Finlay Macrae His scores have been underwhelming so far.

Rookie to cover Martin this coming week. Don’t have Neale. I have a solid Back 6 with Daniels at D6. Forward line is workable to cover Ziebell.

    1

  6. Neale & Dunkley to 2 from Oliver/Bont/Treloar. I had other plans but injuries put an end to that

  7. If anyone finds any healthy premo forwards, can you please send them my way

Dunks and Campbell to Grundy and somebody

  8. I traded Neale in this round.
Have had Danger , Rowell, Butters and Hayden Young now Dunkley and Neale.
    Tough year.

      1. all of them plus Dusty and Ridley….worst start to a SC year ever since it’s beginning for me…and still 60% of the season to play

        1

        0
  9. Dunkley replacement;

    Tu; premo fwd (who??!)

Td; premo mid (leaves Ziebell at f1 and light coverage down fwd)

    1

    12
    1. Premo forward to replace Dunkley, either Sidebottom or Marshall and Neale to Duncan, Mcrae , Treloar or Steele. Will depend on byes and affordability

      0

      0
    2. Premo mid.

Marshall has a cash drop coming and is only one round back from foot injury.

Dusty has a week off and then some big cash drops to come.

Don’t bring in falling premiums if you can improve other lines, even if it means putting players like Anthony Scott on the field in your forwards this week.

      1. I will ALWAYS keep going as realize so many coaches are in exactly the same situation – and when the trades run out, my hubby is an IT guru so maybe I’ll see what he can do to “improve” my trade numbers….lol

    1. Nothing confirmed yet, had to leave the field early after copping a whack from Treacy late in the game

I think everyone just assumes that everyone is injured this year 🙂

      13

  10. Not trying to be a sook but SuperCoach really needs to get inventive in creating interest for regular players. A lot of people I know already quitting this year due to too many injuries etc…

One option I feel that could make a lot of difference is new dpp added. Would be great to swing Berry, Koz up forward to help out etc…

    22

    4
      1. I don’t think they need more trades but with these crazy rolling lockouts I think allowing 3 per week (still 30 total) would be a good start.

        26

        3
    1. There are injuries every year it is part of footy and it always has been.
I find it amusing that that the same people who claim supercoach is more about skill than it is about luck are now claiming that their bad luck is the only reason that they are not doing well this year.

I haven’t been lucky this year my superior skill and knowledge enabled me to select players that aren’t walking injuries just waiting for a chance to happen and as a result I’m killing it.

If it’s not good luck that makes you win then its not bad luck that makes you lose.

Suck it up and move on Princesses

      15

      16
    2. Reckon the AFL could help. Great discussion on SEN about naming all teams on Thursday night..mostly about informed punting. Point was AFL is after all for the fans, and SC is just that. Terrible to see so many players dropping off early this year….interest in AFL falls off too.

  11. Dunkley to Marshall for me, I’ve already got Zorko, Ziebell, Impey and there’s no other options I can see who meet my ‘no key forwards rule’. The option might be Shai Bolton.

Gulden will become one of Oliver, Lyons or Walsh depending on price and where they’re at in the rise and fall of the price cycle.

    1

    1
    1. Marshall’s pretty damn risky with that foot issue earlier this year – I think I’ll personally stay clear but I’m with you on minimal clear gun forward options.

Outside of trading into a premium mid for Dunkley, or Zorko, Toby Greene is in the other I’m considering even though I’m not a fan of his antics (always a risk of suspension too).

      13

      0
      1. I agree with Marshall but I can’t see anyone else except for Bolton. I like Greene, but I don’t trust him to be a consistent scorer , he last averaged over 100 in 2014 and last played more than 20 games in 2016. I also don’t trust too many GWS players outside of Whitfield with the way they’re coached. The only premo forwards I really saw were Dunkley, Danger, Zorko, Marshall and maybe Martin (again that’d be breaking a personal rule).

I had money in the bank to upgrade Gulden this week anyway so if I swing Dunkley to the mids I can turn him and Gulden into two of Petracca, Oliver, Lyons, Walsh which will give me 15 premos leading into next round.

        10

        0
  12. is this going to be the season that rookies become premiums eg Kosi?? with all these injuries maybe a team half full of decent rookies wins it??

    5

    2
      1. Same here. Still have Cripps and Daniel, but with all the carnage they’ll only go come finals (if I have any trades left!).

        2

  13. Anyone jumping on the Guthrie train? Sitting on a healthy 120 ave at below 600k. Straight swap with Neale for me and Zorko coming in for Dunkley.

    11

    0
    1. The answer is Gulden. I know Rowe was bad against the Hawks, but he goes back home to Adelaide now where he has put up his best scores.

OTOH Gulden’s form has dropped off a cliff since the first two rounds, and he faces the Cats this week. Gulden’s BE is 78, compared to Rowe’s 31.

      30

      1
      1. 60 and 70s for a first year rookie after big tons is hardly falling off a cliff. He had a poor game and will bounce back.

        12

        3
        1. Gulden scored in the 30s and is a chance of being managed this week (as per Campbell, McDonald).

BE also 73, unfortunately think it’s time to cull him.

          11

          1
  14. Dunkley > Steele
    Neale > Bont

Not the trades i was planning to make at all have about 5 rookies ready to downgrade and 4 not playing on the bench its becoming a mess!
Still copping another donut yet again aswell unless highmore comes back in..
( brought jones in for koz 2 weeks ago lol )

    10

  15. Injuries seem to be the key topic amongst most coaches but personally I’m absolutely sick of Cripps. Showing zero sign of being a keeper and losing cash fast, I feel anyone holding is just delaying the inevitable and losing a minimum 20 points each week compared to having an actual premo. Straight swap to Walsh for me

    6

    3
      1. But if you are not facing those donuts then a very worthy swap.

Just because you’re Homer Simpson doesn’t mean everyone else is.

        2

        9
  16. Like most I’ve got Dunkley to deal with this week but also kinda fed up with Cripps so my initial trades at this stage are either:

TU: Cripps & Gulden to the Macraes
TD: Dunkley & Gulden to T Greene & Jarman

    10

    11
  17. What is the over/under on side line time for Dunkley to keep or trade?
I don’t really care about overall rank (it’s my 1st season) and my next few league opp should be easy enough to handle with him hiding on the bench

    0

    1
    1. Normally 2-3 weeks on a premium, but maybe a bit more this year as injuries are burning through our trades.

Of course if you’re looking at 3 weeks of donuts, and they’ll come back to huge price drops, make the trade.

Dunkley may or may not be out a long time, depending on surgery. Plus he doesn’t have the huge price drop risk.

But if he doesn’t have surgery the risk of second injury is significantly higher.

      1

      1
  18. If people want to see why I’m giving up, here’s my bunghole

DEF – Laird, Lever, Short, Jiath, Daniel, Cox (Jones, Highmore)
MID – Macrae, Fyfe, Petracca, Merrett, Taranto, Gulden, Powell, Jordon (McNeil, Macrae, Fyfe)
    RUC – Gawn, Hickey (Flynn)
FWD – Dunkley, Martin, Ziebell, Phillips, Warner, Rowe (Scott, Waterman)

    2

    20
    1. Just give up then. SC is different this year, different machinations are presenting themselves. Best to deal with such, sooking not the answer.

      20

      4
    2. Gee. That’s such a hard fix. You have two guys playing on your mid bench who can dpp swap with Dunkley and Dusty, and one who played on the forward bench.

Dusty is out for 12 days for concussion.

Hickey and Dunkley to Grundy and Impey or something similar. Sub Dusty off. Daniel and Short having down weeks doesn’t make them essential trades.

Phillips isn’t making 200 points a game, boo hoo.

Do your trades, then go leak your salty tears while you listen to My Chemical Romance or something, wouldya?

      18

      4
          1. Honestly never heard of that happening with them. Not a big follower of then, so that’ll explain why

But anyways, I don’t get why you’re trying to personally trip me up when I’ve actually said nothing derogatory towards you.
Yeah I vented like a bipolar schizo, but you’re not setting a too much better example for everyone by making those comments, even though they’ve made no effect on my feelings whatsoever. If you think I was being ridiculous or something, you should’ve just said nothing and left me to mope instead of fighting fire with fire

  19. Whats the reason for shai boltons recent up in scoring and touches, i swear i recall one of the tigers beung injured i cant rmr who, but when they return would it be reasonable to say boltons scoring returns to 80-90s

  20. Fwds (got zeibs, imp, warner) and planning an early rookie upgrade

    TU: zorks
    TD: sidebottom

(Can afford anything under 530k with 1 trade only)
Comment: another non key-fwd with better value

    12

    12
    1. Wouod anyone explain why zorko over sidebottom,
Sidebottom gets the ball alot more he just has alot of clangers which holds his sxore back imo
Whereas zorko doesnt get the ball as much. I know neale is out for a while but he will return and i’m loooking for a season long keeper with this trade

      1

      6
      1. Zorko has a better scoring history in Supercoach. Sidey is such an outside player, I think he’s more suited to Fantasy.
Also Zorko is playing for a half decent team, which generally leads to better scoring….whereas Steele plays for the Pies.

        10

      1. Sound pick to start the year, but with Ben Brown and Sam Weideman due back his numbers will probably drop.

        3

        0
  21. Assuming Dunkley is out long term, I’m probably going him down to Impey (what a mistake not trading Dow to him 4 weeks ago), and then Berry to a POD or a DEF under $580k (Touk? Suitcase?) or Gulden to anyone. $165K in the bank. Or should I downgrade? Fin Macrae looks like a pass.

    Who to trade first?

    T/U – Berry
    T/D – Gulden

  22. Thanks to the SC Community, I’m having my best season by very very far (ranked 209) and need your wise input once again please.

$122k in the bank , 22 trades left for round 7 , my team:

D: Stewart, Laird, Short, Jiath, Daniel, Kosi (Highmore, Jones)
M: Steele, Bont, Oliver, Merrett, Brayshaw, Mcgrath, Taranto, Powell (Gulden, Jordon, E Smith)
    R: Gawn, Flynn (Treacy)
F: Dunkley, Ziebell, Tex, Impey, Warner, Rowe (Scott, Mccreery)

TU : Dunkley and Gulden/Rowe for Zorko and Greene/Bolton – 75k/50k left (Warner becomes D6)

TD : Dunkley and Rowe for Grundy and rookie (thinking Thilthorpe, other suggestions?)- 136k left – field Scott and Thilthorpe

COMMENT – just go Dunkley to Grundy and save a trade – 106k left (field Rowe and Scott)

Other suggestions to continue improving my team?

    Thanks everyone

    1. Congrats on the rank Ninjas.

You have to go Grundy !

Have you considered Roberston. ( Bris) We missed his first price rise. He’s now $225 800.

He looked great for 97 on the weekend ( 6 tackles )

His other scores were a 83 and 35 when they were well beaten by the Doggies.

With Neale out for a while I think that can only help his JS.

Thilthorpe looked great but will need to score goals every week.

Rowe may go alright back at home this week anyway.

      Best of luck..

      1

      0
      1. Thanks FT.

Agree on Rowe and yeah if I go with Grundy then Dev Robertson is a much better choice that Thilthorpe.

Am still undecided though – need to think thru my next moves after this round but Grundy certainly on the list of priorities to come into the side whether it be round 7 or soon after, and it’ll also come down to whether I think Grundy and Robertson can score more than Greene and Zorko (both will play more mid given Hogan is playing for GWS and Neale’s injury).

        Cheers

Thanks Wighty , look forward to our head to head at some point to lock in another league win!

        1. Ahhh….the pain…..Congratulations on your win in the Sledgers League last week….oh, the agony.

          Ok, that’s enough, don’t get too excited……

    2. Don’t trade dude take the donut. I have you in the sledges league this week and I think I might cop a pasting due to donuts this week. Congrats on a great start to the season will watch with interest.

  23. Thinking one of the following for this week

    TU: Dunkley + Gulden > J.Macrae + D.Robertson

    TD: Dunkley + T.Phillips > Brayshaw + Zorko

    14

    8
  24. T/U: Dunkley > Heeney, Gulden > Merrett (or another player around that price range, pls comment)

    T/D: Dunkley > Sidebottom, Gulden > Brayshaw

    5

    12
  25. This is what I’m thinking atm. Sure there will be a lot of chat about fwd targets (maybe a poll 😉

    Dunkley > Zorko
    Campbell > Brayshaw

    11

  26. Looking for a little value so I can do something with rookies next week (barring more injuries)
    T/U Neale to Aliir
    Dunkley to Duncan
    210k in the bank

    T/D Neale to Lloyd
    Dunkley to Duncan
    Not 210k in the bank

    9

    13
  27. Of course, the first thing everyone needs to do this time of year before replacing key players…check your team, check the impending BYES!!!

    8

  28. Neale to:
    TU Macrae
    TD Lyons

Thinking about Lyons as he will probably get more of the ball with Neale out, don’t think he would cop a tag either

    24

    2
  29. TU – Dunkley > Walsh
1 trade leaves me with Ziebell at F1

    TD – Dunkley > Sidebottom
    Gulden > Impey
    2 trades better balance

Unfortunately Campbell and Rowe aren’t expensive enough so Gulden had to be rookie I cull for option 2.

All trades subject to rookie selections of course.

    8

    2
  30. Weighing up these options right now. Note: I have Butters because I was waiting for Martin to drop, which is now out the window & butters still 3-4 wks away.

TU: Dunkley and Butters for Impey and Lyons – Gulden goes to bench. Rowe or Campbell on field forward. 189k in bank.

TD: Dunkley and Gulden for Lyons and Dev Robertson – Both Rowe and Campbell on field forward. 170k bank. Butters > Impey next week.

    10

    0
  31. Tossing up yet another defender and shuffling Laird into midfield.

Both Frederick and Menadue need watching as cash growth options.

Dunkley needs to go out, most likely, so a two way swap involving him, Grundy and Thilthorpe looks likely.

    1

  32. getting rid of dunks

    TU Marshall
    TD Zorko

    comment greene

if i go greene or zorko i can go gulden to steele but if i go marshall i will probs do gulden to walsh

    3

    22
    1. Marshall has cash drops to come and st kilda look st killed.

I’d let him play a bit longer to suss out his foot and enjoy the breakevens.

      9

      1
      1. Zorko has to play more mid time with Neale out.

I’m also looking at him as a Dunkley replacement..

        2

        1
  33. Obviously will be dependant on Team Lists later in the week and numbers in each line but:

TU: Meek and Neale to Grundy and Finlay Macrae. Means holding Neale a week and Flynn R3

TD: Dunkley and Neale to Steele and a forward (Maybe Greene). Means waiting a few weeks on Grundy who could go huge against the suns.

    3

    2
  34. Dunkley to Walsh
Clark/Gulden (via dpp) depending on selection and going early on frederick due to both having high b/e

    Thoughts?

    5

    5
  35. Considering either of Duncan or Walsh for a Neale replacement.

    Duncan $582,400/ AVG 122.8/ Lst Score 92/ Hst score 149/ 0.8% teams.

    Walsh $581,00/ AVG 119.0/ Lst Score 89/ Hst score 144/ 16.2% teams.

Very similar numbers but Duncan could be a good POD.
    What are your thoughts?

    TU – Duncan
    TD – Walsh

    Cheers.

    23

    20
  36. Can I have some thoughts, just traded out Dunkley for Tex, then swapped laird for mcrae. Im new to the game but trying to get some tips.
    Cheers lads

    21
  37. Dunkley to Zorko
    Campbell to Brayshaw (Freo)

    T/U: Good move
T/D: Bad move (suggest better options as a comment)

    10

    1
  38. What do we all think of Deven Robertson as a cheap forward option? I know I’ve missed his bubble but not overly keen on Macrae and with Lachie Neale out for an extended period Robertson’s JS should be pretty solid.

Is he a viable pick or would you opt for Macrae/Farrar/Bosenavulagi?

    TU: Robertson worth it
    TD: look at another downgrade

    17

    4
  39. TU: Macrae and Duncan for Dunkley and Neale. Leaves me 148K

TD: Macrae and Mundy for Dunkley and Neale. Leaves me 151k

    23

    4
  40. In dire straights in regards to trades this week.

TU: Gulden and Warner Out. Boak and 102k rookie in.
TD: Gulden Out. Rookie in. Upgrade next week.

    13
  41. Hi all,

With all this carnage I’m losing my mind… so is Neale to Selwood a good or bad idea?

    Cheers

    4

    16
    1. Selwood was very cheap a few weeks back at 436k. Could well be a good buy still with Danger out for a long term.

Oh, and the amazing retractable neck is always worth extra points.

      9

      2
  42. I am going Dunkley-Neale to Macrae -Walsh
It would be good to just do a trade for trades sake not to cover injury and suspensions. That should only leave two donuts this week instead of four.

    T/U
    T/D

    22

    1
  43. Dunks + Neale -> Zorko + Macrae for me this week. Increases my points, gives me a little cash and doesn’t change my bye structure! Feeling so good about it, it almost relieves the pain of trading out Kosi to Jones a couple weeks ago.

    Almost.

  44. Hi all,
Current team below.$55k in the bank
Stewart, Laird,Short, Daniel,Chapman, Kosci (Sharp, Highmore)
Macrae, Clarry, Zerett, Walsh, Brayshaw, Powell, Gulden, Jordon (Berry, Brockman, Fyfe)
    Gawndy (Flynn)
Dunkley, Ziebell, Dusty, Daniher, Warner, Scott (Rowe, F Macrae)

    Thinking
    Dunkley>Sidebum
    Gulden> Impey/Greene/ Zorko

    TU: Yes looks good
    TD: No better options
Comment- whos the best option for Gulden of those 3? Or anyone else I should consider?

    Thanks in advance.

    Gawn, Flynn (Fullarton)

Ziebell, Dusty, Warner, Campbell, Rowe, Berg
    (Scott, Jones)

Ive already made the forced trades and brought in bont/steele for dunks/neale.
Need to come up with a trade for the backline to stop the jones donuts.
Need to probably get in marshall which can help cover flynn when he misses games.
Also need to make some rookie downgrades and bank some cash.

Need some help prioritising my remaining issues.. any thoughts from anyone?

    0
  46. Have the good ol Dunkley Neale situation, tossing up between:

TU: Dunkley & Gulden > M Duncan & A Brayshaw (leaves Cox and Chapman in backline as potentially cash losses)

    TD: Chapman & Gulden > A Brayshaw & Menadue

    4

    2
  47. For bye structure, trading up Gulden to Boak, seems to look appealing.

Has Boaky got it in him to average 110+ for remainder of the year?

    Yay or Nay

    18

    11
  48. Coaches, trying my best to avoid a donut in the fwd line with all the carnage, Gulden to :
    T/U : Devn Robertson
    T/D : Riley Thilthorpe

Who has better job security and scoring opportunities ?
    Thanks everyone.

  49. I have so much cash in the bank this week and with injuries can literally get in any two players in the comp. can be in any position due to DPP swing, who do you guys reckon?

    my current premos are:
    Lloyd, Stewart, Laird, Bowes

    Macrae, steele, oliver, merret, Mitchell,

    Gawn, Grundy,

    Dunkley, Ziebel.

Im thinking Dunkley and Gulden out for Walsh and Bont, I dunno tho. thoughts?

    12

    1
  50. Dunkley to Mccrae

Who else needs the chop this week from my team of losers?

    Gulden, Campbell, sharp, highmore, waterman????

    7

    1
  51. Dunks – Zorko
    Campbell – Macrae jr

270k banked for Chapman – Fedrick Warner-Walsh/Steele next week

    4

    4
  52. Help me out here guys
    Trades 22
    $$20k
    DEF
    J Lloyd, R Laird, J Short, C Jiath, H Chapman, L Jones, (I Chugg, P Walker)
    MID
    J Macrae, J Steele, C Oliver, S Walsh, L Neale, L Sholl, T Powell, E Gulden (J Jordon, L McNeil, A Fyfe)
    RUC
    Grawndy (Flynn)
    FOR
    J Ziebell, Tex, Dusty, C Warner, A Scott, A Waterman (J Rowe, O Henry)

So, as you can see, I’m screwed. Also don’t ask about my D7 and D8. So there is some light in these injuries: I want Thilthorpe, Ridley, and Salem.
    So
Plan 1: Dusty -> Thilthorpe, Neale to Ridley via Scott and Chugg, (Jones off field) which leaves a donut in the forward if Henry and Waterman don’t play.

Plan 2: Dusty -> Thilthorpe, Neale on the bench and trade P Walker to T Duryea.

Plan 3: Neale -> Jy Farrar via dpp and P Walker -> Salem

    TU: Plan 1
    TD: Plan 2
    Comment: Plan 3

Quick questions: is Ziebell injured, will Waterman get in the team soon, Ridley or Salem?

    3

    0
    1. Nothing confirmed on Ziebell, so it looks like he’ll play. Alec Waterman kicked 2.4 in the VFL so he could’ve had a big day out. I’d say it’s a 50-50 call on Waterman this week. It’s hard to go past Ridley at the moment and Salem is only 78K cheaper after his big game. Tipping Ridley to finish with an avg of around 115 and Salem to finish with an avg of just over a 100. Also, Dusty for Rowan Marshall, Sidebottom (my recommendation) or even Butters (a couple of weeks away) and Neale for Petracca is my advice.

      5

      0
    1. I like it but my advice which you might not agree with is: Macrae and Petracca IN. Petracca is going to come close for the Brownlow, he’s in a hot run of form, you can save cash and he finds ways to score.

      6

      2
  53. Had some donuts last week in DEF
    Moved out Dunkley and Gulden
For Mills and Zorko with some DPP switches
left with coverage for Martin and JClark Flynn and Rowe on the future chop
TD or TU on the moves?

  54. Thoughts on these trades,

    This round Neale/Dunkley to Oliver/Bolton.

Getting Bolton gives me enough $$$$ to go Lloyd and May to finish my defence next week.

    3

    4
  55. Like many others I have the Dunkley/Neale trade to worth with.

Thinking either Duncan who has come back from his injury in some fabulous form and will get substantial midfield minutes with the Danger injury. Otherwise there is always Petracca who is also in some hot form BUT has a shocking bye.

I’m leaning towards Duncan and bring in Petracca after the bye but what do you all think?

    T/U Duncan
    T/D Petracca

    1. Piggie backing on this as I also have a forward trade to make. Use this reply as a 3rd option to the ones above.

      T/U Shai Bolton. Cheers

  56. I’m a first year SCer and suddenly have some cash to use (thanks Dunkley for the 1 week of service) who would be the best value player to get in under 500k?
Can be any pos as I have a few DPPs to swing things around

    0

    1
      1. Let me rephrase, (also might be better as a poll Q now that I think about it)
Who is the best value (long term points) player for 500k or less?
Their cash gen doesn’t matter as they would hopefully be a keeper, just need reliable points. Who I already have doesn’t matter as others may get some ideas for this as well.

  58. Going Dunks-> Brayshaw (locked in)

Bit of trouble with my 2nd.

Rowe (if dropped) / Brockman -> Boak.

Boak suits my bye structure to a tee, however isn’t my first choice otherwise.

Can Boak be a top 10 Mid?

  59. This season keeps getting gloomier by the week but we’ll keep soldiering on. Made no trades last week.

    Any advice would be appreciated!!

    My team is below:
    25 trades left, $49,400 ITB
DEF: Lloyd, Stewart ,Laird, Short, Kosi, Jordan Clark (L.Jones, Highmore)
MID: Oliver, ZMerrett, Neale, Titch, Crippa, Powell, Gulden, Jordon (S.Berry, Brockman, Downie)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
FWD: Dunkley, Ziebell, Warner, B.Campbell, Rowe, A.Scott (Waterman, Treacy)
    Cheers!!

    1. Looks like it needs to be Neale and Dunkley out this week. Good news is that trading out Dunks will give you the cash to turn Neale into the likes of Macrae or Steele.

      2

      0
    2. High probability you are going have donuts this round.
Your priorities are replacing Dunkley and Neale and there are unlimited options.
Look for premiums who have fallen in price, suit your byes and are keepers.

      1

      0
  60. Have Dunks & Neale to worry about, along with a woeful F4-F8: Rowe, F.Macrae, Waterman, Scott/Brockman, Fullarton

    T/U – Dunks & Neale to Zorko & Bont
T/D – Dunks & Neale to Zorko & Sidebottom. Play Berry M8 to move one of Rowe/Scott/F.Macrae off field

    8

    9
  61. Trading out Dunkley, avoided having Neale or Dusty
Want to bring in Grundy as R2 and R3 are Flynn and Hunter

0$ in the bank so doing:

    Dunkley + Hunter = Grundy + 118,400

Anyone have any suggestions for a rookie mid or fwd to bring in for 118,400
Currently thinking Harry Sharp (don’t need them to play right away but future cash gen possibility would be nice)??

    4

    0
    1. If you don’t need the points, Treacy is 108 and the dpp would allow you to downgrade Flynn to another position whenever he maxes out

      3

      0
      1. That’s a really good point! I do want to hang on to Flynn until he reaches max potential and could always trade in a cheap ruck at R3 then but this actually works better! Thanks

  62. Think both these guys will finish top 10 FWD. Who would you prefer?

    T/U – Greene
    T/D – Impey

    8
  63. Trading out Dunkley and Gulden. Keeping Martin

    TU
Brayshaw+Impey (3k too poor for Zorko, but suits my byes well)

    TD
    Walsh/Boak/Guthrie + Farrar

  64. Thoughts on trading in Darcy Parish?

    From the Herald Sun:

From Rounds 3-6 the No. 5 pick in the 2015 national draft is No. 1 in the league for clearances and No. 6 for disposals.

In Rounds 1 and 2 his split was 41 per cent forward, 59 per cent midfield.

From Rounds 3-6 it is 97 per cent midfield, three per cent forward.

He has attended the most centre bounces at the club in that time – an average of 21.8.

    9

  65. Got hit with the Dunkley/Neale/Dusty train wreck.
Cripps survives again – so desperate to get rid of him but he finds a way of getting everyone else injured!
Anyway, got 24 trades, 113K in the bank. Likely to be OK on the forward line (ie, no donuts, but not a good lineup!)
Would like Ridley but he has more to drop so Neale for:
    TU: Ridley
    TD: Stewart
    Comment: My Mids…

    7

    8
      1. Or even bring 2 mids in and hope Clark or Highmore play?
        TU: 2 mids (Walsh/Oliver/Petracca)
TD: Stick with 1 mid (Oliver/Petracca) and 1 def (Stewart)

        0

        5
  66. Dodged the Neale bullet but have Dusty and Dunkley. Dusty goes to the bench and Dunkley goes to Grundy as my R2 rookie experiment didn’t quite work.
After the Dunkley trade I have $36.9k and 23 trades.
Can get away without a donut this week but fwd line is very thin with Campbell F6 and Flynn, Treacy and Gulden the only currently active players on the bench.
    So…

    T/U – Brockman > Atu
    T/D – Campbell/Gulden > Robertson

    6

    5
  67. Top 1k. But have Dunks and Jelly.

Do I trade Jelly and use up the cash in the bank to get him to a 550k to 600k mid while he is still worth something or keep and hope he gets a role change?

    9

    4
    1. Don
The idea is to get the rookies off field as fast as you can – sideways trading premiums only delays this process. Dunkley is a priority and his trade in price gives you lots of options.
      Good luck.

  68. If Ziebell is good to go, is he a legit replacement for Dunkley?

Dunkley & Gulden out for Ziebell & $575K MID

  69. Can someone please tell me was Marshall’s 50 in his first match played injury affected? I cannot remember.

He is more than likely my Dunkley replacement

    3

    1. Was a little hampered by a sore foot but also was up against Nic Nat which hurts any ruck’s score. Also he normally rests forward which results in some extra points from marks and potentially goals but that match he was being managed a little so was on the bench more than he usually would be

  70. Jeepers ! seems as though I’ve copped every injured player known to mankind this year & with Neal, Cerra, Butters & Dunks still keeping the bench warm, & down to minimum trades with 21 , I’m doing:
Logan McDonald & Goulden = Farrar & Atu
leaves bank for Dunkley to Gawn next week . 140k.
Please Wish Me “Good “Luck because If it wasn’t for Bad luck I’d have no luck at all

  71. Hi all,
Current team below.$55k in the bank
Stewart, Laird,Short, Daniel,Chapman, Kosci (Sharp, Highmore)
Macrae, Clarry, Zerett, Walsh, Brayshaw, Powell, Gulden, Jordon (Berry, Brockman, Fyfe)
    Gawndy (Flynn)
Dunkley, Ziebell, Dusty, Daniher, Warner, Scott (Rowe, F Macrae)

    Thinking
    Dunkley>Sidebum
    Gulden> Impey

    TU: Yes looks good
TD: No consider Dunkley>Sidbum and DG Brockman >Deven Robertson instead

    Thanks in advance

  72. Gday guys! Not often I post here but come with a solid dilemma.

Currently ranked around about 270 and with Dunks injury it’s kind of opened up some weakness in my forward line I’ve been letting go for the last 6 rounds. Current line up is as follows:

Ridley, Lloyd, Stewart, Laird, Short, Chapman (Mansell, Highmore)

Macrae, Steele, Oliver, Merrett, Walsh, Powell, Gulden, Clark (Scott, McNeil, Brockman)

    Gawndy (Flynn)

Ziebell, Impey, Warner, Rowe, H.Jones, F.Macrae (Waterman, Comben)

Walsh come in for Dunks but the dilemma is this: is it worth using my second trade to get Jones to Brayshaw via Scott loop, or get him to DevRob so restart some cash gen in the forwards, and leave some cash to potentially get out Clark/Gulden/Chapman/Rowe next week. Apologies for the essay, cheers guys!

    2

    1
    1. Hey, Geo.

      Nice work on the rank.

Walsh and Brayshaw IN sounds good, Scott’s a fine field option.

      3

      0
  73. Gulden > sidebottom
    Dunkley > Hawkins.
Sidebottom has Suns, north, swans, port.
Hawkins has swans, tigers, saints, suns.
Sidebottom has dpp and I could use him as bench cover for mid/fwd with Campbell.
I’m against key forwards too, however Hawkins plays up field a lot, has averaged high, cheaper 100k.

    1

    1
  74. Plan on going Neale>Walsh
Is it worth going Dunkley>Robertson instead of Zorko and banking 415k for two double upgrades next week? Feel as though Robertson will get that inside mid role and Zorko isn’t going to skyrocket in price and can hold off a week on him
    TU: Go for it
    TD: Stick with Dunkley>Zorko

    8

    3
  75. Don’t you just love insomnia……

Need some advice guys. Here’s my team:

Def: Ridley, Lloyd, Mills, Bowes, Jiath, Koschitzke (Sharp, Highmore)
Mid: Merrett, Neale, Laird, Taranto, Green, Powell, Gulden, Jordan (Martin, McNeil, Saunders)
    Ruck: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
Fwd: Ziebell, Zorko, Impey, Warner, Rowe, Scott (Campbell, Waterman)

I’m going to hold Dusty, have already traded out Dunkley for Zorko. Currently using the Captaincy loophole on Neale at the moment assuming, that McNeil plays.
Where I am stuck is what to do with my remaining trade for this round. I know that Neale has to go, just not sure if it is this week. I could trade him for Macrae this week and be left with available cash of $84,800, or trade either Gulden (via DPP) or Campbell and bring in Bosenavulagi before his price rise leaving available cash of $235,000 or $308,700.

So after all that I’m thinking my question is; are the additional points that Macrae brings in this week a better option than the potential reduction in value of Gulden / Campbell and increase for Bosenavulagi?

    TU; Bring in Macrae
    TD; Bring in Bosenavulagi

    Appreciate any assistance and comments.

    7

    5
    1. I know sometimes with a lack of cash we look to make some from players who might not be around long enough to make it. Bosen might be one of them and there is stack of them people are talking about and it is not one trade it is one to get them in and one to get them out. The sooner you rack up your keepers the better.

  76. Good morning SCT’ers, bloody freezing outside here.

This is my plan for the next two weeks, what do you think?
    Gulden, Campbell > Robertson, Farrar

    Next week –
Cox, Rowe > Fredrick, 580k mid leaning towards Mccluggage

Leaving me with a round 8 team of –
BACKS – Ridley, Stewart, ZWilliams, Daniel, CJ, Cummings(Fredrick,Kosi)
MIDS – Steel, Zerret, Laird, Gaff,McClugg, Powell, Jordon, Robertson(Berry,Scott, LOOP Sharp)
RUCK – 2 superstars and Flynn on bench
FWD – Ziebell, Impey, Sidebum, Phillips, Warner, Farrar(Mcreedy, LOOP Brockman)
Will leave me with 16 trades and some $$$ depending how much Clugg costs. 6-8 upgrades left should hopefully no injuries and everything will be sweet 😛 CJ and Cummings looking like keepers for now

    1

    0
    1. Can’t see your current team but “no injuries” is a tad optimistic.
With 16 trades left though you will have quite a few “keepers” ( Zac, Daniel, CJ, Cummings, Luggage) who by end of year I would not think will be top six or eight on their line. With Jordon, Robertson, Phillips, Warner and Farrar still to deal with on top of what you have on the bench.

    1. It is really sad isn’t it if you have Martin, Ziebel, Impey Walker and Co. and you lose Dunkley and want a m/f your looking at the likes of Zorko, Bolton and Sidey
and think which one isn’t going to get tagged, injured or go missing.

  77. T/U – Neale and Dunkley to Macrae and Boak
T/D – Neale and Dunkley to Macrae and Dev Robertson + $350k ITB

    3
    1. Don’t mind Robertson as he may have some JS unlike a lot of others.
Two premiums is a good idea and every one needs Macrae. If I did not have Macrae it would bother me not quite the same with Boak.

  79. I personally think Zorko is very cheap right now and I think he will be a top 6 FWD by the end of the season. Don’t see any other viable options right now besides maybe Marshall but he’s likely going to fall in price.

T/up – Dunkley to Zorko and Berry to Farrar via DPP leaving me with roughly $324k for upgrades next week

T/down – Dunkley to Zorko and Gulden to Boak (already have Macrae, Steele, Oliver, Merrett and Cripps) leaves me with roughly $50k

    3

    6
    1. Hey John, not sure if you seen GD’s coach’s box entry but Boak is out this week with a quad injury. If you’re still looking at the second option, you’ll need to look for someone else to bring in. Petracca/Walsh/Guthrie/Duncan are all good options.

      3

      1. Yep.

Petracca only 40k~ more expensive than Boak and the Dees have a soft next month, starting with the Roos this weekend.

  80. have neale and dunkley to sort out
also have dusty so trying to cover plenty
have lots of DPP so can potentially bring in any players

DEF: lloyd, laird, stewart, ryan, daniel, chapman (highmore, jones)

MID: macrae, oliver, titch, cripps, neale, gulden, powell, scott (campbell, fyfe, sharp)

    and then

      1. I like Petracca but it looks like he’s going to start copping the tag over Oliver now. You think Duncan would be a good option?

        0

        1
        1. That is a possibility, although I think the tag will go to Oliver before Petracca in most cases. Also, the Demons have a great month of matchups coming up so both Oliver and Petracca are likely to go well.

Duncan is also a great option and has a better bye if you prefer him. Can’t go wrong with either imo so go with your gut.

I missed the boat earlier in the year on Impey, is it too late to get him in now?
will he end up top 6 or 8 Fwds at the end of year?

My Fwd line right now before trading this week is:
Dunkley, Ziebell, Martin [will bench this week]

          Cripps -> Macrae

As to whether that’s worth it is up to you.

  90. Not much love for Aaron Hall? 6 (sub affected), 81, 133 and 37 (injured second quarter) read fairly good to me.

    TU: Yes
    TD: No, you’re crazy!

  91. Neale to MacRae for scoring potential or Neale to Bontempelli or Petracca to save cash.

    TU Neale to Bontempelli/Petracca
    TD Neale to MacRae

  92. Trading out Gulden & Dunkley
    (Flynn is my R2)

    Thumbs up
    Grundy & S.Bolton ($80k bank post trades)

    Or

    Thumbs Down
Walsh & Petracca ($10k bank post trades)

  93. My current ruck set up is Gawn-Flynn-Fullarton
With so many wise and experinced coaches here, is it worth getting Mummy in to the mix for Fullarton?
Or should I stick to my other plan and add Brayshaw to my mids?

    1. Mummy is still a chance to be named this week, do you have anyone to swing with Fullerton or will you get a donut if Flynn isn’t named? Wait for teams tonight, 1st option would be to get to Grundy. 2nd option would be to trade in Tilthorpe, either for Fullarton or into the forward line to swing with Fullarton. 3rd option would be Mummy (or Marshall), and last option just take the donut.

  94. What is everyone doing this week that don’t have injuries?

TU – double downgrade – sorta
    TD – 1 up 1 down

I’m thinking Dev and Jy are to good to pass up

Change my mind if you can

      1. Forward options –

        TU – Zorko
        TD – Shia

I am blessed this week to have a chance to do anything except get Macca

  95. Bringing in McRae for Neale, and one of the below for Dunkley. 25 trades left before these go through.
    TU – Zorko + ($108,100 ITB)
    TD – Impey + ($160,900 ITB)

    1. i’ve got the same decision re impey v zorko. think i’ll go impey as cash is king and hard to come by. it’s a bit of a risk but surely impey has shown he’s got the goods by now and can keep up a 90 + average, which i’d be happy about at this stage…..

  96. Is Dev Robbo worth it for some cash gen? Forward line is a mess and he could help with cash gen while bringing respectable scores

First trade this week will be Dunkley to Zorko

T/U – Neale to Dev Robbo. 1 up & 1 down next week
T/D – Neale to Bont – play the trio of F.Macrae, Rowe & Scott up forward

  97. Already got Macrae, Steele, Oliver, Merrett, Cripps.

    T/up – Duncan

    T/down – Brayshaw

    Comment – Petracca

      1. You mind if I ask why Petracca over the others? He is playing pretty well but for some reason I’m still leaning towards Duncan. Please convince me!!

        1. Still under 600k, because he had three slow weeks to start the season.
Easy run of games coming up.
          Semi POD.
          Absolute gun!
I’m jumping on him over Oliver, Bont and Walsh I think.

  98. Trying to maximize points for this round assuming either that I bring in will be a lock for the remainder of the season.

    Dunkley> Impey is done
    but
t/u brockman > Zorko (to cover one of Rowe,Bergman & Scott currently)

t/d Campbell> Oliver (would push Gulden to the bench for this week)

  99. currently traded dunkley to walsh and martin to macrae – but should i only trade one of dunkley and martin and sacrifice either gulden or campbell and go 1 rookie like Farrar or fredericks for cash gen?

TU – trade the 2 premos
TD – go a premo and a cash generator

    0

    2
  100. TU: Dunkley and Neale > Premium forward (probably Zorko or Marshall) and Macrae
TD Dunkley and Campbell > Dev Robertson and Macrae (Hold Neale for one week and trade him to a premo next week)

TD will get a rookie off field but Dev Robertson could be more risky than a premium forward

  101. Is it worth going braeden Campbell to deven Robertson? Or best to wait and see what other rooks start presenting themselves?

  102. Long story, short…I screwed up (i blame Friday night beers). Traded dunkley out just in time (to sidey), but forgot to bench dusty. My only DPP in the midfield is Scott who’s obviously played and can’t be moved. Was planning on trading Neale to Walsh, but only way i can avoid a donut now is trading Neale to zorko and putting zorko on the bench as emg (replacing dusty).
    So….

T/U – trade to Walsh and cop a donut
    T/D – trade to zorko

*I really only want zorko of he’s gonna be top 6-8 fwd.

    Cheers
