With the heavens opening up on Friday night, the money came for Russian Camelot (our ‘lay of the day’ from last weeks edition) and while he was the best of the local horses, he did have every possibe chance behind the Internationals in Armory & Sir Dragonet……….
If you’ve followed this series over the last few weeks, you would’ve jumped on a couple of early favorites for the races on Saturday afternoon……..
Odeum was spruiked at $9 for the Empire Rose Stakes just two weeks ago and has come up as $3.50 favorite. She’s coming off a fast-run Thousand Guineas where she destroyed her rivals. Only has 49kgs on her back and is drawn to get the run of the race behind the leaders. I’m predicting she’ll be backed in further……..Back with confidence……..
September Run was given out as a tip for the Coolmore Stud Stakes two weeks ago at $7. The money has already been coming in after final fields were announced and she is now $4 favorite at the moment. She possesses a blistering final sprint and will probably get to use it down the Grandstand side on Saturday. Handles wet or dry ground, classy filly………
