Reserves Rookie Review – Round 5

The SANFL had a bye due to gather Round but there were still plenty of rookies in the reserves doing their thing.

Upgrade season looks to be starting and we have some decent downgrade options with some more hopefully on the horizon.

Cincotta was great again with 37 touches and 8 marks and is pushing for a debut as is Binns who had 30 touches and 11 marks. Durdin took a huge 16 marks with 26 touches in his return. Mirkov had 51 hitouts in a good game.

The Eagles copped an old-fashioned flogging. Trew had another good game with 23 touches while Burgiel also played well with 22 touches. Barnett may be the only fit ruckman and he had 6 touches and 21 hitouts, probably unlikely to come in as Waterman and maybe Rotham will be used. Hewett was injured very early and didn’t register a stat.

  1. Ooof. Slim pickings, Alza. Only one I can see coming in is Cincotta. That form plus Doch and now Saad down should give him a look.
