Daicos v Lions

Lions not the greatest midfield match up but the way Daicos broke Jordon last week was spectacular. He’s in form and worth a look.

Zerrett v Eagles

L3 v Eagles: 135, 121, 110 (122 avg.)

L3 @ OS: 121, 126, 111 (119 avg.)

An auto VC if you’ve got him. Will reward patient owners with a 140+.

Gawn v Dockers

L3 v Dockers: 95, 98, 118 (104 avg.)

L3 @ MCG: 88, 129, 122 (113 avg.)

Nank wrung Darcy out like a sponge and a week won’t have made that great a deal’s difference to the underdone big fella. Maxxy solid for 120 as the Dees take their last stand.

Brayshaw v Dees

L3 v Dees: 137, 89, 127 (118 avg.)

L3 @ MCG: 137, 107, 136 (127 avg.)

With the expectation that Sparrow goes to Serong, Brayshaw should fleece the points donating Dees on ball.

Rowell v Tigers

L3 v Tigers: 113, 137, 108 (119 avg.)

L3 @ MRVL: 110, 79, 82 (90 avg.)

MID into Tiges! Tick! Rowel the more likely, on form, to attract McIntosh but can see him being broken quite easily. On for 130+.

Anderson v Tigers

L3 v Tigers: 128, 122, 144 (131 avg.)

L3 @ MRVL: 96, 91, 105 (97 avg.)

MID into Tiges! Tick! On for 130+.

Macrae v Dogs

L3 v Dogs: N/A

L3 @ MRVL: 120, 162, 47 (110 avg.)

Don’t let a low DE outing against Port and the Bedford tag sully your opinion of Macrae. His OB fundamentals remain sensational. Dogs don’t have the depth to deploy defensive attention, so back Macrae to make Bevo rue the day he let him go! Baseline of 120.

Smoky Picks

Zorko v Pies

L3 v Pies: 108, 127, 81

L3 @ G: 135, 136, 108

Certainly not as hot on him as other but anticipating the inquiries, so here are his numbers. Pies keeping things pretty tight but Zorko’s integral function in the Lions D50 ball movement will keep him in good stead during crunch time.

De Koning v Roos

L3 v Roos: 77, 96, 55 (76 avg.)

L3 @ MRVL: 133, 77, 95 (102 avg.)

TDK could really exploit Xerri if he’s still labouring under hamstring awareness. Dancing around big fellas is TDK’s bag. Confident he can go 125~ if you want an early option.

Holmes v Hawks

L3 v Hawks: 82, 84, 115 (94 avg.)

L3 @ MCG: 118, 110, 103 (110 avg.)

The Hawks looked really thin without Day last week and more broadly their ball movement has deteriorated sharply, so I’ve got the Cats really getting on top and stoppage and center bounce. Maginness, yes, could be used to clamp but the fact he didn’t touch Rozee or Butters last week can bring Holmes into the fore. He’s also got the capacity to retreat to HB. Solid for 120.

Smith v Hawks

L3 v Hawks: 53, 103, 63 (73 avg.)

L3 @ MCG: 69, 76, 122 (89 avg.)

I even like Smith, who played last week on full CBAs with tonne of outside run and meters gained post-clearance. Those attributes should line up well against the Hawks aforementioned issues.

Steer Clear

Dawson v Giants

L3 v Giants: 94, 126, 97 (106 avg.)

L3 @ AO: 60, 96, 103 (86 avg.)

Bedford. Ugh.

Verdict

Anderson into Macrae on my end. Got someone punching through in Dees Dockers. Think TDK returns with a vengeance and Zerrett, of course, is a must use if you’ve got him.

    Haven’t had a C post over 100 for the last 4 rounds so probably best to steer clear of my choices.

    Will Hewett now want to tag Sheezel ?

    Will Hawthorn play like they did after 1/2 time last week and injure Holmes ?
