Small or Far Away, Father Dougal on Cows

Hi Everybody!

For the second week , what a week! I bet we’ll be able to say that for the rest of the season. I suspect the same math and calculations are going to be the important thing for the rest of the season as well.  So, not much new thinking planning wise this week. Instead I’m gonna go off on a tangent and talk about the season itself.

I’m glad it happened.  I’m glad it is still happening, at least so far and hopefully more.  How it will go, I have no idea. Nobody does. But, I want to say thanks to the people running the game, because right now it sucks to be them.  No matter what they decide to do or not do, some people won’t like it. But whatever they do, we should be supporting them. So, maybe say something nice online, here, or wherever.  (I’m not gonna bother telling the people on this site not to be jerks, ’cause not needed!)

This week, I’m gonna try and sum up the players in two words.

Defenders

Cows

Nikolas Cox:  Still playing

Jacob Koschitzke: Donut stopper

Thomas Highmore:   Oh crap

Nathan Murphy: Probably secure

Trent Bianco:  Nice score

Midfielders

Cows

Sam Berry: Fielded again

James Jordan: Over ripe

Tom Powell:  Did not play

Lachie McNeil: Did play

Riley Collier-Dawkins: Did not play

Ryan Byrnes:  Mostly Solid

Rucks

Matt Flynn:   Out again

Jordan Sweet:  Did not play.

CCJ:  Did not play

Forwards

Cows

Robertson:   Reliable backup (No Jinx!)

Warner: Did not play

Scott: Did not play

Rowe: Useful still

Bergman: Chugging along

Owies: Mostly Harmless

Poulter:  Prodigal Son

Jones: Did not play

Madden:  I’m stuck

Weightman:  Theoretically Explosive

Cow-Like-Objects

Atkins: Amazing season

Daniher: Just hold

(Please let me know if someone is missing or if something is messed up.)

Dodgy Advice:  Yeah….Is there even non-dodgy advice at this point?  My hopefully useful advice is to hold that last trade unless you have a lot of backups. Which I have said, but, well, still feels the way to go, yet might be totally wrong.

Remember the Cow Talk guarantee: “All predictions wrong or triple your money back!”  (Offer not valid if money is actually involved.)

I am time-zonally challenged.  When Cow Talk goes live I’m probably asleep, so replies from me may take a while.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Well said FD. I love playing Supercoach. If I didn’t love playing Supercoach, then I wouldn’t play Supercoach. Pretty simple philosophy but I think it works.

Massive thanks to the people that keep the game going, even more so in these times of hubs and lockdowns.

    1. Right on the money Chillo. Great pastime when in lockdown and not as well. It’s amazing how they are keeping the season going.

  2. Could I sacrifice something at the altar to have a Lachie Bramble table please father?

I have 2 trades left, will use 1 to take Dusty out this week and will save the other one for my last upgrade, have Bramble at M8 right now. Will give me some idea of my budget for the Dusty replacement this week if I can get an idea of how Bramble will track in the next fortnight.

    Much appreciated!

    2. Exact same predicament haha! Burned a trade on Cripple someone I Shoulder avoided, Nealely had an accident. Will have 470k to spend on a M8, think Trapanto?

  3. Of all the cows I sent to the slaughterhouse, the one player I had to sacrifice, but with a heavy heart, was Miles Bergman. So consistent and solid.
